After contacting Adrian, he came out to assess the current floors within a few days. His pricing is competitive with other proposals we received, as well. He answers all questions we had in regards to finishes and stain colors. We were contemplating two stain colors, but he went above and beyond and showed us what 4 colors would look like to gain some comparison. We also discussed what type of finish coat we wanted (water based or oil based) which I had to do a little research to determine which one suited us best. He stated what his intentions were and executed it exactly as stated. He was able to move around a few clients to fit us into our schedule timeframe we requested (thanks to whomever delayed their floor refinishing for us!) and the job was completed in 3.5 days! Adrian is busy (which is a good thing) and he is honest, competitive and won't cut any corners.

Everything about the experience was outstanding and far exceeded expectations Talked to 3 different companines. Adrian came out within a couple days of my first call to him and showed up on-time for the first appointment (a rarity). He was only one to explain different possible options, different qualities of wood, finishes, how to do the leveling, etc. Came with his iPAD and actually showed me the different product options. He was awesome to work with. Price was very competitive with the others. Gave me a preliminary date and provide regular status updates of how that date was looking. He started when he said he would, and worked straight thru to complete the job in 4 days (I thought it would take him at least a week and a half). Took lots of pictures during the process to show me what he was doing. Used pads and plastic to protect other areas of the house. His equipment all appeared to be top notch and in great shape. Finish and quality look fabulous. I put a level to the floor and the slope and dips are gone. He took the time to clean-up after work each day, and did a full clean up when finished. Place was pretty spotless when he left. And I didn't have the typical issues of damage to something else or a wall dinged up like I've had with other contractors. I would definitely recommend him, and will certainly use him again for other rooms in the house. Was just a super experience, he really knows his stuff.

We recently have purchased a home in Glen Ellyn, IL that had a carpeted second floor. After ripping up the carpet we found hardwood in fair condition, although they didn't look that great. There were several large stains from previous owner's pets, paint spots and frankly-they looked like they needed some work before we would feel comfortable living with them. We had 4 people come out to look at our hardwood floors. All of them seemed professional and the prices varied. Our final estimate came from Adrian of MCraft and it was a fair estimate-in the middle of what we had been given so far. I am pregnant with twins and I was very worried about the dust from the sanding but they had a huge machine that seemed to magically suck away all the dust. I am not saying there wasn't dust but none that I could feel or see. My parents, who had recently done their own wood restoration were amazed at the lack of dust and mess-for them that was a real problem when doing their floors. We agreed that Adrian was the one that made us most happy and liked his truthful frankness about what he could do with our existing floors. We also saw other work that he has done and read many reviews that seemed to back up the decision we had made. We agreed that we wanted him to start as soon as he could and he made every attempt to accommodate us. He showed up exactly when he said he would at 7am and took special care with thick tarps and blankets while storing and moving his equipment. He works with his sons and the whole family seemed very courteous and respectful of being in someone's space. They were very clean and unobtrusive. The sanding went well and the work was done and it was left essentially dust free as he promised. The next decision was staining and I changed my mind a few times. He brought in our exact type of wood and showed us what the 3 stains would look like in variations of color. After all that I ended up deciding before he came to skip the staining entirely and just go with 3 very durable coats of Synteco to preserve the natural look of the wood. The Synteco he used gets high praise for the durable finish but it, like most sealants, smells. He let us know what we could expect and it was like he said. From previous projects I know that anything you seal your floor with smells. We didn't have to stay anywhere the night after he applied the first 2 coats (which I was not there during application) but for the 3rd coat we decided to stay at the in-laws. I was worried about breathing it and you shouldn't leave your windows open for the third coat to minimize dust falling on the setting finish. I am very happy with the awesome job Adrian and his sons were able to do with a floor that needed some serious help. Now we won't have to worry about for at least another 30 year! I would absolutely recommend Adrian and MCraft to my friends and family. I did a lot of research and I am very happy and pleased that we found MCraft because they did a very spectacular job and kept it clean! We will be using them again when our downstairs needs to be refinished at some point!

Adrian of M Craft refinished the oak floors (entire first floor) of my town home in advance of my listing it for sale. Adrian is terrific at his job, was able to get the job done quickly, yet thoroughly, for a fair price, and walked me thru the entire process step-by-step. He checked in with me daily to give me an update, talk thru stain choices and finishes, etc. He was honest and did his best to save me money where possible since he knew I was selling my home. I wouldn't hesitate to use Adrian's services again when needed in my new residence.....I just wish I had finished my floors earlier so I could have enjoyed them more!! In fact, everyone who has seen my floors has asked who did the work, so I hope my project results in more work for Adrian.....he is a true pro and did an absolutely awesome job!!!

Adrian promptly came to my home to give me an estimate on having our floors redone. He was available to start the job in a timely manner that fit well with my schedule. Each time I spoke with him, he was very courteous and professional. He made sure I was happy with my decision of color before beginning, and he answered all my questions. We were given the option of two polyurethanes. One that wouldn't smell as badly cost more, but was worth it. Although he uses a dustless process, he and his son spent the time to tape all the openings in our cabinets to prevent dust from entering. We were able to live in our house during the process, and the smell and mess were very manageable. We were even able to walk on the floors in the evening to access the refrigerator, etc. I had put off having this job done because I was worried about the mess and the smell, and I didn't want to move out during the process. I wish I would've known earlier that this wasn't nearly as bad a project as I had anticipated. I would've done my floors years ago! The techniques Adrian uses made this a much better experience than I remember it being in the past. They cleaned up each day and were very neat throughout the 3 days. Our finished floors are beautiful. I would highly recommend the work Adrian and his sons do.

I used Angie's list to identify 3 wood flooring contractors. I picked the top three with reviews in my area and asked for estimates. M Craft stood out from the rest from the start of this process! Wood floors are a major investment and something you live with every day - you pick the wrong contractor and you're in for major headaches. I based my decision to go with M Craft based on the reviews on Angie's list and the professionalism of Adrian from the moment we met. M Craft's pricing wasn't the absolute lowest, but they were very competitive. It was clear Adrian knew what he was doing and would focus on delierying a quality project. With my estimate, Adrian provided a list of a half dozen references to call. I did and they echoed very positive feedback on quality and professionalism. Adrian and his two sons work tirelessly and clean up every day before they leave. After the new wood was installed, the sanding began. I've had past experiences where dust was EVRYWHERE to be found during this process. Not with MCraft - we have black granite countertops....not a spec of dust on them after sanding in the same room all day. They've been ontime and responsive to our schedules and availablility. We chose colors based on recommendations from Adrian and sample M Craft brought to our house. MCraft is nearly finished with the complete project - We'll post an update once everything is done. UPDATE: Adrian finished our project and the results were pretty fantastic. Considering we have two little ones and an energetic dog, the last days were the most challenging. Adrian and sons worked around our schedules to allow us access to the house during the staining and finishing process. He built his schedule around us - starting early and working late - to allow us to walk on the floors between finishing coats. Honestly, i can't say enough about the experience with M Craft - they were competitive, professional, on time and delivered a pretty terrific finished product. While an expensive project, we feel we received a great value for the end result.

The provider is very skilled. He laid the new flooring so well, the junction between the old and new floors was smooth like they were all laid together. He then sanded it down with a machine that actually sucks up most of the dust. I initially did not believe it when he said dustless but then saw that it was actually dustless! Provider was always punctual and courteous and most important knew English very well and spoke English that I could easily understand. I also noticed that he has his tools very neatly organized. His sanding machine is new and well maintained. The stain he applied was uniform and he applied the Glitsa finish very well. I would recommend him any day for any job big or small. This guy can handle it and does it for a fair price (or I would not have given the job to him) No need to ask 3 estimates. Just stop with this guy. I am very happy with the floor.

He came over within a few hours of calling him. He gave good solid advice and an estimate for the work to be performed. Very professional. I will use them in the near future.

We had just bought our new home and were waiting on closing. Because we were trying to move out of the previous townhouse and into the new home in a small time frame, we wanted to get the floors refinished first. I emailed a bunch of companies with questions, because we had a specific finish in mind. We received a few quotes and Adrian Moldovan was the first to reply and he answered all questions in his initial email. Super impressive. Of course we set up an appointment for him to come out and give us his opinion and a more accurate estimate of price. We were dealing with closing delays and he was great to work with for reschedules. We finally confirmed a date for him to assess the flooring. It was truly a pleasant experience. He was such an enthusiastic person and you just a really good vibe from him. We wanted bamboo hardwood floor to Mach with the entrance that previous owner already done. He said it was achievable and so we set a week for it to get done. Oh yes, the price was really reasonable and made sense! On the scheduled first date, Adrian Moldovan and his son were on time and also great to work with. They have this job done within 2 days , latter , we have a small problem with the woods and I called Adrian and he come with his son to fix the problem right away. He is very nice and reasonable guy I really would recommend M Craft if you're looking to refinish your floors (like we did).

Adrian and his crew were amazing. I called to make the apt with him and he worked around my scheduel and came at 8 in the evening to give us our quote. He was there at exactly the time that he said that he would be. His pricing was good and told me that he would work to make the floor exactly how we wanted it to look. And that he did do. He told us that it would take 4-5 days to finish and he was right on the mark. He said that he would be there at 7am and he was there at 7am. Each night when he was done, the rooms were cleaned and you couldn't even tell that he had been there. The wood that he used matched percectly and looks fab. The 4 room look amazing and I would call again any time

He was always on time, professional and courteous. I have never seen anyone take so much pride in his work. There was absolutely no dust while he was working and every time he left my home, he made sure everything was cleaned up before he left. On the last day, he put the refrigerator and stove back before buffing and applying the last coat of varnish. This job took him 2 and a half days to finish everything, stain,3 coats of varnish. My husband and I were so impressed with his professionalism and courtesy. He delivered what he promised and more. My husband and I are extremely satisfied, our floors never looked better, they look beautiful! We would highly recommend him to anyone, I am sure they would be highly satisfied as we are. .

Adrian and his team did the excellent job on my first floor Laminate installation. Easy to works with and the work is professional and trustworthy service with the right price. They were informative, experienced - gave good advice when we were choosing a stain color, professional, and reliable, always showing up when they said they would. They also did a good job respecting furniture and area they were working on which was important because we just finished some renovations. The work was done well and efficiently. The floors are beautiful. Definitely had a great experience with them!

Adrian was very responsive via phone and arranged a time to come over to give us a free estimate. He was very knowledgeable and we liked him right away. He gave us the many options available to us, made measurements and give us an estimate right there. He was extremely straight forward with us and we trusted him right away. We agreed on the wood type and stain color and finish and decided over night to go ahead and give our business to Adrian and M Craft Company and we are so glad we did! He was at our home the minute he said he would be and finished on time. His work is beautiful and he was neat and clean. We had heard horror stories about the amount of dust etc. and somehow, he kept it totally contained. We had no dust issues at all. I had concerns about our dog in the home while work was being done and when I consulted with Adrian he was so helpful in explaining exactly, step by step, what he would be doing etc. so that I could decide what to do with the dog. The floors are pristine and beautiful and we are so thrilled with the work this gentleman and his son did for us. We highly recommend this company and would use them again in a heartbeat.

I was refered to M Craft by a good a friend and am glad I took the reccomendation. As usual with construction projects I was short on time. I made the call to M Craft and scheduled an appointment for an estimate on my job. The owner of the company showed up on time and gave me a very fair estimate. He was also very helpful in picking out the stain and took the time explain the scope of my repair. The floor was in terrible condition and quite frankly I thought much if not all of it would have to be replaced. He could have very easily tried to sell me a new hardwood floor. Instead he assured me that he could repair the damaged boards and relace only a few. I feel this saved me a considerable amount of money. We they agreed on a date to do the job and he was able to accomadate my lack of time. The job went smooth as the workers showed up on time and did an excellent job. I have many tradesman work in my house and I have a pet peeve about cleanliness. Not only were the workers pleasent and competent in thier work - they were extremely clean and seemed to have a great respect for my home and they were friendly and not bothered to field my endless barage of questions. In summary, I feel M Craft did a fantastic job on my floors at a very fair price. I think they have a great respect for the homes they are working and take great pride in the work they do. I have had more complements on my floors than any other area of my completely rehabbed house. I would not hesitate to reffer M Craft to any friend or family memeber who has flooring needs.

Ardian and his sons did a fantastic job. I just bought the home and had all my furnature in storage and was living in a hotel until the floors were redone. They arrived as planned on the day I purchased the home and worked the weekend and completed the job on time. After they pulled the carpet the found some additional work where the floor had be patched poorly sometime in the past they did a remarkable job of patching in new oak flooring - cannot even see there is a patch. They crafted grates, replaced subfloors, replaced damaged moldings helped with our color and finish selection. Very organized, cleaned up the job site at the end of every day. It was obvious they had years of experience. Basicall these guys were the most professional and hard working contractors I have ever hired. The floors look outstanding and far exceeded my expectation!

Adrian the owner is just amazing. He works with you on color finish and most importantly on price to fit your budget. The installation was tight and perfect. The air ducts were routed perfectly and fir terrific. The stain matches the existing floor nicely. He uses dustless sanders and what ever dust does get out he cleans up. He crew is great too. very patient with all our questions and concerns. They work hard for your satisfaction and will not stop until you are completely happy with there job. I highly recommend them with any hardwood flooring job.he has every single possible tool to complete the job. He provides the stain and varnish. He will go out and get samples for you to check out first. He does a great job on the moldening shoe. He moves the frniture with care. They are prompt and curteous beyond belief. The price is better then anyone we found. Believe me he can charge a whole lot more for his service. He is a total perfectionist...He even helped me get the lumber and bring it home. IF i can rate him AAA then I would but this site only allows for A. Bootm line is a great great job you will love for sure at a price your wallet will love more!!

Adrian is a true professional who knows his craft. He is always responsive, on time, and courteous. He thoroughly explained the scope of work involved and potential risks as the floors were in poor condition. The transformation is amazing. I am thrilled with the result and so glad I went with Adrian's recommendations for stain color and finish. He went to great lengths to abide by all the condo regulations, the noise and dust were minimal, and the smell was practically a non issue. Excellent work overall. There was water damage to the floor in the Kitchen, which required extra attention. The boards came loose but Adrian was able to repair and make adjustments with limited options as I was not in a position to purchase a new floor. I would definitely recommend his work.

Adrian was a true professional. We are very happy with the work he provided and have already asked him to look at doing some additional work in our home soon. The quality of the oak hardwood that he used was outstanding. He took the time to seal off other rooms of the house with plastic and took great care to maintain a clean work environment each day. His dustless sanding was perfect. We never noticed any dust in the other areas of our house. He also took great care to prepare large samples of color for us to evaluate before selecting a final stain color. This is important as the same stain can look different on different types of wood and even on different boards in the same batch of flooring. The total job was complete in a little over two days. We are very happy with his work and proud of our new floors. I would highly recommend Adrian to anyone looking for a a quality flooring installation.

We contacted Adrian just 2 weeks prior to moving into our new house. The house had hardwood floors throughout except the kitchen and bathrooms. He came and gave us few reasonable options in terms of pricing and quality. We troubled him a lot when deciding color, we changed the color at last minute but he was very patient and even accommodated all our changes. He started the work immediately and promised to finish before my move in date. To our surprise, he did finish everything and the house looked beautiful and perfect. Adrian is very professional and even finished the work in 3 days! I would use them again for sure! If you use Adrian, you will not be disappointed.

They arrived promptly on time. They were very careful not to damage anything when they were bringing in their equipment. They were extremely respectful in regards to setting everything up and asking where things were such as the electric box for cinnecting their equipment. They explained every step of what was to be done and checked to see if we had any questions before they started. Something else that really impressed me was how clean and organized they are during the whole process. They cleaned up as they went along and at the end made sure that everything was clean and neat. I would HIGHLY recommend them to all my friends and family!

Adrian and his team did a really great job. Our Chicago bungalow was built around 1943. The original oak hard wood flooring may have been refinished once in the intervening years. At some point in time a portion of the living and dining room floor was covered with wall to wall carpeting (think nail holes to secure the carpet to the floor) and the foyer to the kitchen was covered with linoleum. The linoleum had been adhered with a thick black oil based adhesive. The bedrooms had some wear due to furniture being moved. And there was the normal traffic wear that appears after years of use and polite neglect. Additionally the toe of a stair tread in the front entry was damaged, possibly dangerously so. Enter the magicians. First the team as a whole is punctual. Adrian was on time for the site review and the estimate. The days that work was scheduled the team that came to do the work arrived early in the morning as they planned. Second, the price quoted was a fair price. I received price quotes from a number of other vendors. The quotes I received were all over the price scale ? one quote was unusually low, other quotes I received were insanely high. The price of the project was not the deciding factor. But it reflected that Adrian understands and respects his customers. For example some quotes I received were clearly intended to tell me that my project was too small for the vendor. The team as a whole is technically competent. For example the damaged toe on the front entry step needed to be repaired. I thought that the whole tread would need to be replaced. But the mending job was seamless. Now when I look at that stair tread it is difficult to imagine that it had ever been damaged. There were also some damaged planks in the bedrooms that needed to be replaced. The nail holes from the wall to wall carpeting did not disappear. But they are not nearly as pronounced as they once were. Adrian is very knowledgeable of flooring, wood, and the variety of product available. He is also very informative. We thought we knew what we wanted in the way of color and finish. But after meeting with Adrian we were able to make a better decision regarding our color and finish choices. His explanation was patient and instructive. Adrian is also approachable and easy to talk to ? this quality made asking questions about the process easier. Adrian?s manner made it easy for us to understand what work would be done and he made us confident that it would be done correctly. My impression of Adrian is that he is making an honest living one floor at a time. There are so many possible ways that home remodeling projects can steer awry. Our floor refinishing project was basically perfectly executed, actually the results were better than I expected. If the topic of floor refinishing comes up with any of my neighbors I will unreservedly recommend that they call Adrian for the project.

I decided to refinish my hardwood floors in my home which was built in the 1960's. The wood had been discolored and scratched. Carpeting had been used to cover the floors, so additional damage from padding was evident. I decided to contact M Craft to determine if the hardwood floors could be restored. Adrian Moldovan arranged to meet with my husband and I, and assured us he could do the job. We were debating on staining the floors or keeping them natural. Adrian advised us that it would be easier to repair a damaged floor if it had a natural finish and discussed the durability of 3 coats of sealer. We went with his advise. Adrian and crew arrived promptly and completed the job in 2 days as promised. I was concerned of the amount of mess and dust that would occur from the sanding process, but the company uses some sort of "dustless sander." There was no dust anywhere! In 2 days, my floors had been restored to there splendor! Adrian performed a miracle!
