Our house was built in 1961. The sump pump is in the garage, with the pipes going from East to West at back of garage wall that butts up against family room (on other side of wall); and discharges at front of house. (A pretty amateur set up at best). Former owners also built shelves in between pipes. The elbows of the pipes were rusting. We were worried of possible leaks/corrosion in the future that could lead to leaks in our family room. Wanted R J Graham to re-route pipes (with PVC) from sump to existing outside in a simpler fashion. Steve Suarez came out to house within 2 days of my call. He left the existing galvanized pipes/elbows that were too hard to get out because of the shelves that had been built around the pipes. He installed PVC piping cleanly overhead, anchored it to the wall and reconnected to the existing outside discharge pipe at front of house. The pump flows smoothly and discharges with no problems. No more worries about possible leaks. The original price was to be $225.00, but since he couldn't get out to our house the next day, he discounted $25.00 and we paid the $200.00. R J Graham may become our new plumber. Our previous plumber of 20+ years has become very expensive, charging over $100.00 just to walk in the door; and on the last few jobs lingering over simple repairs which resulted in a very expensive final bill. While expensive doesn't necessarily mean better work and cheap CAN be cheap; I feel R J Graham fit the bill somewhere in between. I watched Steve's work the whole time. Steve Suarez was very no nonsense. He completed the work within about 2 hours at most. He was neat and cleaned up afterwards. He gave us a 2 year part/labor guarantee.

They were excellent. They were very courteous and very accommodating. They're very neat. They cleaned up and all. They're good. The prices were a little bit high but they did an excellent job. He was here for about two and a half hours.

They were really good. They were pleasant and clear when I called, let me know their availability and terms, and then the plumber was able to get there even earlier, after calling to make sure that would be OK. Took my emergency seriously. The plumber was very thorough and polite and skilled. The only thing that surprised me was that since I am currently renting, they did require cash payment, so I had to run to the bank in advance and take out an estimated amount of cash.

Excellent! The company was called in after hours because we could not get water to stop running from the main shut off in the lower level and needed a pro. Steve was there within the promised hour. He closed off the water from the original copper line and installed a new (and previously non existent) shut off valve along with a water hose to the new refrigerator. We tested the water line and Steve left when I was completely satisfied with the service provided.

We had just purchase the home and the prior owner was asked to fixed the ejector pump because the hose was disconnected outside of the house based on the home inspection findings. On the day of close everything 'looked' connected correctly The day after closed we had heavy rain. When we stopped by the new home, we found water was collecting right outside the home where the hose was connected going into the ground. We also still had some seepage inside where the ejector was located. Also we were getting an smelled that smelled like spilled orange on the floor carpet. Our prior home did not have an ejector pump and we were concerned. Being new to the area, I searched Angie's List, whom I have used in the past for my older home, to locate someone who can come out and explain how the ejector pump works, why there were two of them, and is it running the way it suppose to be running. We wanted peace of mind. RJ Graham plumbing was very professional on the phone, and when the plumber arrived, he arrived 10 minutes before the time set.. (This was important to me because we were running between two homes preparing for the move...we also did not want to move anything if water was going to end up in the basement.) He inspected then inside and the outside, looking at how the home landscaping was graded. He also tested both pumps and explain that the other pump may not be doing anything that the one where the water was coming from piping was not connected correctly. He redid the outside connection with proper fitting hose. He explain that it is normal to see puddling of water about 20 feet from the where the water extracts because of how my backyard slopes, as long as it is away from the foundation of the house we would be OK. I am very pleased with the work the RJ Graham company did. I have put thier contact information in my cell so that I can call them anytime I have plumbing concerns to address. .

We recently had some major water damage to 3 levels of our home. We were almost certain that a pipe had burst in the wall somewhere. I called RJ Graham plumbing and they scheduled someone to come out the next day. The plumber they sent arrived a little bit ahead of the time they scheduled which was great & surveyed the upstairs bathroom to see where the leak could have been coming from. After turning the water main on for a few seconds he determined that there were a few valves that were broken and replaced those and was going to cut into the drywall some more to see if another pipe might have had a leak. Well, after inspecting the toilet he determined that a part inside had broken and caused the flooding in our home and not a pipe in the wall. After replacing a couple of valves & turning the water main on again there were no more leakages. He was very pleasant & professional and I would definitely use RJ Graham's services again.

They arrived late, but called to let me know they were running late. Very professional, even when the job didn't go smoothly. Would recommend them to friends/family.

I waited to write this review until after I saw how things were going (so far so good) and after the big mound of excavated dirt sunk back down. On 4/05/2013 I called RJ Graham Plumbing because there was a clog that shook all the pipes in my basement and the first level of my house. The woman answering the phone was great...very helpful, very efficient, very understanding and professional. The plumber who came out used a 3ft. camera to determine the clog was caused by a sheared sewer line right outside the house. He unclogged the pipe saying I should have no problem for about six months, but that I really needed to have the sewer line repaired. Several times he said he thought he could do the repair from inside the basement and his diagnosis for the job was $1,800. He said the cost of digging outside was $2,400. He said the $250 I paid for him to fix the clog would be deducted from the price to fix the sewer line. He said he needed to talk to "the boss" and after he did he said the work cannot be done from inside so I agreed to the higher price figuring I already had $250 paid. On 4/16 the plumber arrived early to start the digging in the brick flower garden right outside my front window. Later he was joined by his boss who broke out the old broken pipe and installed a new plastic one. About 3ft. straight out from the inside basement clean-out, he also installed an outside clean-out pipe...a bright shiny white plastic above-ground pipe that is not easily camouflaged. The plumber said he argued in my favor for his boss to agree to give me the price for a 5ft. dig as opposed to the 6ft price that his boss wanted. My two payment checks totaled $2,650 after the sole discount of $250 was subtracted from the cost. In essence the job cost $2,900. The work is guaranteed for 5 years with one free re-rod.

If you are looking for a company that is reliable and cost effective, then I would call RJ Graham Plumbing. After two floods due to my towns sewer system and costly replacement twice of a new hot water tank and new furnace, I decided to get some bids to fix my problem. Like me, my next door neighbor had the same flooding problem until they installed an Overhead Sewer System. I used Angie's List and called three companies; 1st bid = $14,000, 2nd = $11,000. The 3rd Bid from RJ Graham was $6,500 (which is pretty much what my neighbor paid). I was a bit skeptical so I did further research on Angie's List until I felt satisfied about their company but the reviews were pretty good so I gave them the go-ahead. I am not sorry at all. The work was completed within 3 days and it is wonderful! The staff, Steve, who did the bid and then worked on the project as well, Jim and (I call him Young) Steve were great. Easy to work with, professional and polite. They dug a new sump pump area as well. They cleaned up the whole area. Steve knocked off $ because they didn't have to dig as far to the city sewer as he thought when he came out to do the estimate (love the honesty!!). I am so impressed with their work! So much so, I had them do another job for me which cost me $2,700; re-piped my house to increase water pressure and install a new shower head/system. I also had a leaking faucet which they repaired for free. Very responsive group when I called, - don't know the name of the lady that answers the phone but she was very nice and responsive. We have had some big storms after the Overhead Sewer installation and everything has worked beautifully! Love the hew shower head installation and water pressure!! Thanks Angie's List. AND a huge THANK YOU to RJ Graham! Now I can quit worrying about my basement when the storms hit!!

IT WENT VERY WELL,HARD WORKER GOOD JOB.

He put a snake down the tub drain and dislodged the item that was causing the clog.

We contracted them through a Big Deal purchase on Angie's List, and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Our old pump was running on fumes and needed to be replaced. Given all of the rain we've been having in the Chicago metro area this spring, this was a pretty urgent need for us. The plumber showed up on time, got right to work, and finished the installation within an hour. The next day it rained cats and dogs, and this new pump very likely saved our basement from flooding. I have heard that Zoeller makes the best pumps out there, and that ended up being a factor in our decision to go with this company. It has worked flawlessly ever since, and the company's three-year warranty provides additional peace of mind. A quality product with quality service makes for a very happy buying experience!

Plumber was on time. He had to come in and out of house and used shoe coverings without having to bug them about it.

I could not ask for more. I really found a great plumber. They did high quality work with attention to detail. I could not have asked for anything more. If you need a trustworthy plumber than look no further.

The job went very well. I called and explained what I wanted done. We needed one toilet in a bone color and the other white. They supplied and installed both toilets, removed and disposed of the old toilets, and left the bathrooms neat and clean. They arrived on time, on the date agreed, and were professional and courteous. The workmanship was excellent.

We had purchased a new dishwasher and it was not getting dishes clean. The manufacturer gave us4 names of repairman that do the warranty work for them. I chose RJ Plumbing and was very impressed.

I called them for routing but they put a box in there so that was $2000 and cleaned up halfway to the street. They were on time, they were very good. One guy was out here in a flood and he worked in the rain that day, he was very good.

They did everything that was advertised. They were on time and did everything they were suppose to do.

Steve was professional and informative. He told us what we needed to do and gave estimates on the cost of parts and labor.

Two people from the company turned water on and off around the house checking to find where the leak may be coming from. They spent a good amount of time trying to figure.things out without ripping apart my walls. Overall, things went well. Haven't had a recurring problem. Hopefully the fix will last several years.

Outstanding, honest, professional service. We needed to have outside access to our sewer line installed, as it was difficult to impossible to rod the sewer line from inside the house. We also had them replace our sump pump, as our existing one was past it's life expectancy. They showed up when they said they would, completed the work on time, charged us less than we expected and left our house as clean as when they arrived. They were polite and professional, and took the time to answer our questions as to how we could minimize service calls to have roots cleared from our lines. Given that we had water from last week's storms, we also asked them about the installation of a check valve and rerouting of our sump pump to make it more efficient. They explained why we didn't need these items and services. I appreciate their honesty, as many plumbers would have performed the unneeded work.

My old pump failed on a day with heavy rain and caused minor flooding in the basement room where pump was located. The plumber came the later that day and quickly and neatly replaced the pump with a new dual pump with battery backup. I'm sorry that I cannot recall the plumber's name but I was very pleased with his service.

Outstanding job!! I have not been this pleased with a service provider in a loooong time! I will not hesitate to use them in the future, in fact that will be tomorrow to repair a leaking supply line! I think I have found a plumbing service I can trust. From first contact to finish I was pleased. CALL THEM!

He worked very hard to free up the tree roots progressively using larger cutters. This took some time. I understood why he was a little late as it would be hard to estimate how long each job would take. Very professional
