Everything went great. We will use them for the touch-up in a few years.

Some scheduling issues mainly due to weather forcing the job time frame out appx 3 weeks. Overall job came out very nice but would have liked more accurate day before phone notification. Had gotten multiple estimates and Deck Bright was not the cheapest but did deliver on everything promised. Would recommend but be aware of details above that will affect proposed job completion date.

Jeff is a great, great, great person to work with. He and his firm are extremely professional and knowledgeable about all things deck, stain, and painting related. Our deck is a newer deck with some unfortunate refinishing problems and Jeff really took the time to explain to us the multistep process he recommended to take care of the problems and rectify the paint/stain issue with our deck. He was extremely quick to come out, went out of his way to accommodate our crazy schedule, and was very thorough in his work and explanation. We would highly recommend Jeff and look forward to working with him in the near future to correct our deck issues.

I have been in the painting trade for over 20 years. In past years I have maintained my own deck, fence and playset. With life becoming increasingly busy for myself, I decided this year to hire Deck Bright to do the dirty work for me while I attempt to actually enjoy my free time. From the first initial contact, Deck Bright was attentive & courteous. They started my job in a reasonable amount of time, & performed their 5 Step process on my deck, fence, and playset in just a few days. I personally checked on the workers everyday and found they were kind, hard working men that performed their job to my liking. Plus, I got a one year warranty on the work! I will most definitely be calling Deck Bright in the future to maintain my deck, fence, and playset.

Deck Bright still has a sign in front of our house. When we called in the fall when we first had the deck installed the recommendation was to wait until spring. Most communication was completed by my husband through email. The estimate for the job was completed in the fall, and the price for the job was assured for the spring. Communication was limited. We constantly had to follow up with the company to get service. The process for care and maintenance was unclear and provided through a brochure that was put in our door in the fall. The sign is still in front of our house and we are not even sure if the job is completed. Starting the job required a check for half of the price quote. We never heard if the check was received and had to call to find out if it had, and then to request the job start. The pressure wash took a day. We were not home when any of the work was completed, and we were fine with that. The challenge was that there was little or no communication about when the work would happen. Ten days passed between the pressure washing and the staining. We were told that it would be two to three days.

Initially, it went well. However, the service didn't quite meet my personal preferences. The work was done well, but the texture of the paint was completely flat; the color had no depth and I felt the coating should have been heavier. The cost of the service was reasonable within the range of estimates I obtained. We had quite a bit of rain afterwards and some of the color appeared to thin out. I called to have it inspected but not sure they ever came since I'm at work during the day. They didn't call back to confirm if anyone had checked the finish. The job is under warranty for 1 year. I am updating this experience 2 months short of 1 year and the finish has not held up well. There are several spots on the deck and railing where original wood is showing through. I called for warranty service and received an immediate appointment. I didn't accept the technician's suggestion that the wood showing through is still protected. He took pictures of several spots to submit to the service that processes the warranty and I'm awaiting an appointment for the deck to be resprayed. We have had several weeks of rain so the wait is not unreasonable given the weather. I'm not sure that I would recommend the service given my disappointment with the product. Their customer service and response have been fine but I don't like the products they use and I will try another vendor next time.

I called and they came early the next day to give an estimate. I called back to confirm that I would like the service. They did not get back to me so I called again. I guess they did set me up, they just did not call to confirm. They came in about a week and then came about a week later for the staining. I had read a bad review online so I joined Angie's List to check them out. The two reviews from 2005 were positive so I decided to give them a chance anyway. They did a really nice job. The deck looks brand new. I was told it will last 3-4 years. We have a pretty large deck so that is why the price was higher. It would have been too much work for us to do it ourselves. And I thought maintaining the deck would save us more than having to replace a rotting deck in the near future. People who saw the deck before it was stained asked if it was a new deck so they did a really nice job with the cleaning. After being stained it looks like a new deck.

WORK CREW WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, TOOK CARE TO NOT GET STAIN ON ANYTHING NEARBY, CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES.

THEY DID A REALLY GOOD JOB ON THE DECK. THEY WERE VERY THOROUGH.
