I was happy with the results.

The work they did was fine and the electricians were very nice and helpful. They did not have the parts for couple of things that we could have had done. Rather than use up the remaining time of their 2 hour special for them to get the parts, we opted not to have anything else done.

Excellent - John didn't even charge us for the new fixture.

Great after some changes in his schedule. Installed as requested.

I called Bill and got an estimate. I explained the job and he quoted $400. I was off on my estimate of the run by 30 feet. So the extra material was an additional $50. I pulled a permit and Bill and his crew showed up on time with his crew and knocked out the job in a few hours. Bill was responsive and a easy to work with. Passed inspection with not problems.

I called Bill before I purchased a "Big Deal" from him on Angie's List, because I was hoping that he could confirm that the service I needed performed (installing a chandelier) would be covered in the 2 hours that the deal was for, or if I should just pay the hourly fee. I also needed it done later that week and wanted to make sure he was available. On the phone he was very nice and accommodating, making it clear that the purpose of running a deal on Angie's List is to find long-term customers. We were hoping to find an electrician who we liked, was trustworthy, and fairly-priced to use for multiple jobs around the house! We made an appointment for a time slot between 11 - 1 on Friday of that week. He mentioned he might be able to come out earlier, and I told him to call and if I'm around, I might be able to make that work. Friday rolls around and I was working from home, waiting for Bill. I was on a call for work until 10:45, and then checked my cell phone to see if Bill had called (in case he had trouble finding the house). There were 2 voicemails from him - 1) 9:20am - Calling to confirm that I still wanted him to come out for our appointment that day and let me know that he was running a bit ahead of schedule and wanted to see if I was home so he could head out early. 2) 9:58am - Hadn't heard back from me, wanted to fill his schedule for the day, so if I couldn't get back to him in the next 10 minutes, he was going to have to reschedule our appointment for another day. Needless to say, I was livid. I called him immediately after I got the messages and he told me that because I didn't answer the phone he had to move on with his day and wasn't going to risk coming out to my place for our appointment if he didn't know if I was going to be there. (Why wouldn't I be there?!?!?) He called to confirm and I didn't answer (an hour before our appointment) - therefore, it wasn't his fault. I informed him that there was nothing said about me being required to answer the phone an hour before our scheduled appointment to confirm or he would cancel and that this was completely unacceptable. He knew how important it was to me to have the chandelier installed that day (I had a party at my house the next day) and yet he just blew me off! If he is concerned about losing money due to people not showing up for appointments, then he should charge the customer if they are a no-show... not assume that people aren't going to show! He left me high and dry, and due to him not showing up, I had to shell out 3X the money to get an electrician from another company to come out same-day. He is the most unprofessional person I have dealt with off of Angie's List. I know that there are some good reviews here; however, I am in sales and if I were to no-show on a customer, you better believe that my company wouldn't stand for that! Hope this review/warning saves others the frustration.

I got them through Angie’s List. They did a good job; they did it according to the village code which is pretty strict. My overall experience was really good; they were quick and very professional as far as doing the work. Their price was not so good but I did not have anything to compare it to; I thought it would be around $600 at the most. The quality was good and they were right there. I would run a price check or two before using them again.

Expected them at 8:30a and they showed up at 9:30a, and they did not have anything to protect my white carpet from their boots (I stock booties just in case). That was it for the bad. Everything else was excellent. They knocked the job out very quickly and professionally, and at a very reasonable cost. I would not hesitate for a second to hire them back for anything electrical. p.s. I think they are going to buy booties for the next customer! :)

Bill came right over when I called. Provided a detail competitive quote and the completed the work quickly and on budget. All went smoothly.

Bill and his team showed up on site when they said to expect them. My husband worked with Bill to outline how the work would be done. Everyone had an assignment and worked together to dig the trench, run the conduit and wire, and install all the outlets around the garage. By the first day, the service was installed and the lights were up and running. The outlets had power. On the second day, the village inspector came by and approved the work. He was impressed with the work as well. The team completed their work. They cleaned up the site and all of the installation was completed dressed. The team even got along with my dog, who liked them.

Very satisfying experience. Bill and Bob were on-time, very accommodating, professional and performed the work above my satisfaction. Couldn't have been happier. I wish Shelby Electric continued success as the company is certainly deserving of that based upon my interaction.

Bill came within a few hours after my call on a Sunday afternoon. He diagnosed my problems and made the repair and installation of the new sump pump in less than an hour. He was prompt, curteous, and knowlegable.

I was very happy and satisfied with Bill's work and I really appreciated his advice and suggestions as they made a lot of sense to me and also allayed my concerns about safety. Plus he was friendly, polite and professional. And the amount he charged me was very acceptable and, to me, worth every penny. I told Bill that if I had any other electrical work I needed done in the future that I would be happy to have him do it. And...as he left, he said "Thank you for your business." Overall, I couldn't have had a better experience!

This is the second time I have used Shelby Electric and he does his work in a professional manner. I am completely satisfied.

Bill was very informative about what he proposed to do. He and his associate showed up exactly as scheduled and completed the tasks in the timeframe expected. All conduit and electrical were rerouted out of the way of the drywall installation and all work was done in a highly qualified manner. The finish work was completed at the end of the remodel and everything was done to our complete satisfaction. We wouldn't hesitate to contact Bill for future work.

Bill and his co-worker arrived on time and went right to work, both were very nice and left comfortable. They seemed very knowledgeable and were done before I know it, I gave my friend his card and she will be calling him soon.

I am definitely very happy with Bill and his work. He had some great suggestions on what the transfer switch should power, its locations, and talked me through some scenarios that helped me make decisions. He ended up doing a lot more work than originally planned (my decision) and the price only went up a small amount. He also didn't mind that I followed him around to ask questions while he was working and explained several of the things he was doing so I could learn. I would definitely recommend Shelby Electric and use them again.

He arrived on time and I explained what needed to be done. He knew exactly what to do and was innovative enough to use an alternative procedure when the one recommended by the manufacturer of the lighting fixture did not seem to work. I suggested that we check whether all the lights on the circuit were operating and when we discovered one was not, he immediately fixed it. We then went into my basement and he replaced a ceiling fixture with a pull-down cord. I was amazed that he could do this with the power on; if I had done that I would have been shocked- that's why you hire an electrician. i was very satisfied with his work and I will use him again if I need to replace, e.g., ceiling fans.

Overall, the experience was excellent. The electricians were very professional & explained everything thoroughly during the process. I'm very happy with their services and I have already recommended them to others.
