They were very careful with our belongings.

They were good, they did pretty good work everything considered. I chose to use them because they were rated so well. They didn't break or loose anything.

They provided great service. They are easy to work with, didn't break anything. We plan to use them in the future.

I've moved 6 times in the last 10 years. This was the easiest (NO stairs), shortest (time 3.75 hours), and most expensive move I have ever had (over $700). I moved out of a 3rd floor walk up condo in the city last fall with a different moving company (based in Chicago). They had shrink wrapped most of the furniture, big screen TV, etc. and moved them into storage units in a suburban storage facility. Today, 5/5/12, USA Moving movers covered the already shrink wrapped items with blankets and mummified them with tape. This took a good deal of time at the units, but said that they did this to protect my things during the move (mind you they survived the initial move into storage and previous moves) and to limit the company's damage liability. They took longer than expected to get the items wrapped and many were double wrapped (sofa, dressers, armchair) . USA Moving drove about 20 miles north to the new house (2 br, 1.5 bath, living/dining combo) and unloaded the contents without problems. The handicapped ramp and double exterior doors made even large items easy to get in. When the bill was calculated imagine my surprise to see a $132 extra charge for materials! By my calculations $124 per hour for the men (3.75 hours) and $124 truck fee = $589. I had $650 cash (more than any of my previous, more difficult and lengthy moves) and some extra for tipping the guys. With the extra materials it was $721. I was floored. I thought he had miscalculated. Nope, they had managed to use 34 ROLLS OF TAPE at $2.50 per roll to secure the "FREE" moving blankets. They also charged me to saran wrap my mattress and boxspring. The mattress was already in two old fitted sheets to protect it (fine for the previous movers)... not sure why USA Moving felt the need to add $30 worth of plastic wrap. Seems like a scheme to me. They lower their damage liability, charge you for the time it takes the guys to wrap it, and overcharge for materials they use. If you do decide to use USA Moving BUY YOUR OWN TAPE and WRAP. Also, plastic wrapping everything is very wasteful and bad for the environment as it all goes into the landfill. They should secure the "free" moving blankets with straps (like previous moving companies) or with a few bands of tape (also like previous moving companies). They chose to go overboard on the materials and charged me too much for the very short and easy move. The movers were nice and just doing their job, but the "material fees" were excessive and not what I have encountered with other moving companies. I consider myself a seasoned "mover" and I have never encountered a $100+ fee for materials. I will not use them again and have already warned friends who are moving soon not to use them unless they BYOT (buy your own tape).

Called but nobody answered. Moving on to the next company.

Based upon previous Angie's List reviews, I decided to use USA Moving & Storage instead of another mover who I had used in January of 2012. As an Angie's List member, USA offers free use of 5 wardrobe boxes which is a real plus, and gives the purchaser 15 small boxes, 8 of which we needed for the move. They were terrific for lamp shades and small stuff that needs to remain unpacked until the day of the move. Both the wardrobe boxes and small boxes were essential to a smooth transition. Prices are competitive with other movers we considered. The moving van arrived exactly at 8:00a.m. with four men as contracted. They were polite, and took great care not to damage anything. Each furniture item was wrapped and taped, and moved by them on to the moving van. They had all of our furniture and clothing, etc. boxes ( we had previously packed up all of the personal property, dishes, pots and pans, clothing, etc. prior to the movers' arrival ) out of the second floor apartment and into the moving van in about 90 minutes. They cleaned up after themselves, and left the apartment clean. The movers used blankets to protect the wooden floors from mud and dirt on their shoes (of course it was raining!!). They arrived shortly after we did at the new location, and were able to use the alley to access the apartment. The movers took great precaution not to damage anything during the move, and were able to have everything setup and assembled in about 90 minutes. Again they used blankets to avoid dirtying the wooden floors, cleaned up after themselves, and left around 11:30a.m. These four men worked very hard; they were polite, and the driver explained everything that was itemized on the bill. We tipped them well - very well. There was one issue that bothered me alot. When I scheduled the move I was told by the lady in the office that the movers would arrive between 7:00a.m. and 8:00a.m. We scheduled it early because it was a shorter distance for the move, and we would be the first customer of the day. Taking her at her word, we were ready to go by 6:45a.m. When we had no movers at 7:00a.m., 7:15a.m., or 7:30a.m., I called the office to see if there had been some delay. Nobody answered the phone. I called the 1-800 number. Nobody answered the phone. So now I'm thinking of other options, if these movers don't show up!! As previously stated the movers arrived at 8:00a.m. When I questioned the driver, he said that he was told that the move would begin at 8:00a.m. not any time between 7:00a.m. and 8:00a.m. I can understand that there are events which would delay arrival, but arbitrarily giving me a 60 minute window is rude and unprofessional. A 15 minute window or 30 minute window especially when one is to be the first move of the day is more than sufficient. And there should be a telephone number the customer can call to check on status. I also thought that the movers used an inordinate amount of tape (which was billed to us on the invoice) to secure the blankets, but the tape is also used as "handles" on some of the furniture items, and this is their expertise, not mine, so I didn't complain or comment. These men who moved us were terrific. I would use USA Movers again.

AMAZING TEAM! I am so glad I went with this company. Everyone was fantastic to work with. From Ilanit in scheduling, who patiently worked the date and timing of the move around my nutty schedule to the moving gentlemen, who were fast but super-careful with everything. I needed to move some items from my condo into my storage unit. I also needed to transfer a ton of items from one storage unit to a larger one. The movers, headed by Javier, arrived on time and packed up my things very quickly. Once we were in the storage units, they even made suggestions and helped me arrange my items to maximize the space I had available. I could not believe that they were able to get everything done so quickly, yet so perfectly. Also, their pricing is extremely reasonable and the final bill was completely accurate. I will be moving from my condo into an apartment in June and will DEFINITELY work with this company again.

They were punctual, friendly, upfront with the cost, the service being provided and the insurance coverage. They were fast and efficient, but at the same time careful and professional.

The movers are excellent, hardworking, and took great care of our items. Even though they are paid by the hour, they do not slack off at all. I would definitely recommend and use this company again.

Recently conducted a move with USA Moving & Storage and they were absolutely terrific!

USA Moving did an excellent job helping us pack up our old apartment. They were thorough, trust-worthy, and extremely hard working. They did an even better job moving us in to our new 3rd floor walk-up. They were efficient, & quickly moved all of our belongings up the 3 flights of stairs. They made this move simple and easy. I would definitely use them again!

Excellent service. The team of 4 arrived exactly on time, they finished the job much more quickly than I expected, and they even helped move out some old furniture in our house when they dropped off the shipment. Thanks for making this extremely easy.

I scheduled a move from the city to the Southwest suburbs. There were two locations: a 2b/2ba condo in the South Loop, and an additional stop at a walk-up in Ukranian Village. They were straighforward on the quote, and honored the 15 free boxes to be picked up beforehand. I did some pricing comparisions beforehand, with most companies charging a minimum number of hours. USA had no minimum, but did have a flat charge for the truck rental. The four-man crew arrived promptly in the morning. They were careful and efficient with everything, and because I was not completely packed, they did a lot of the packing for me. Note: they do charge for materials; I had boxes and tape of my own, but those went quickly. If you are trying to save some money, have a lot of extra materials for them to use. They are very liberal with materials to make sure nothing gets damaged. We went to the second location, and tried to fit as many pieces of large furniture into the truck as possible. I definitely underestimated how much I had to move; it was my error in not being more specific in what I had at the second location. They moved everything into a 5b/3.5ba house, and rebuilt the beds, furniture, etc. Nothing damaged in the move. It took approimately 10 hours.

From the initial scheduling to the final arrangements to the move itself, everyone at USA Moving was patient, friendly without being "smarmy," and honest. Their estimate was very close, a little high actually. They were a few dollars more per hour than some of the other quotes we got, but they had a four man crew rather than a three man crew. The day of the move, all went well. The only glitch was that the truck picking up at my son's went to the wrong address. Actually they went to the address I gave them.... which was the wrong address. The moving trucks were clean, and the crews were pleasant, and efficient without being brusque. They were careful and helpful.

They way past my expectations. Full story is provided above. Everything went like clockwork. The only Dos and Dont's that I can say is, don't hire anyone else, do hire USA Moving and Storage.

This report is a long time coming, but these guys were awesome. Our foreman was Javier, and his team was fantastic. They moved us over two days -- packed us on day one, then loaded up, moved, and unloaded on day two. No damage to furniture or either home as far as I know. Everyone was very courteous and professional. Some of our pieces were hard to fit where we wanted them, but they went to some great lengths to get things where we wanted them. The final charge was exactly what they quoted, and their quote was one of the lowest out of 3-4 that we got. We would certainly use them again if we need to make another move.

They arrived at 8 am and started wrapping furniture and carrying boxes to the truck. After removing everything and completely filling their truck they drove to our new home, unloaded everything where we wanted it and took away all the packing materials. The job was completed at 6 pm and they never stopped a minute to rest. I guess we have a lot of stuff!

This is the second time that we have used USA Moving & Storage, and they are excellent. The crew was timely, efficient, polite, and careful with the possessions.

Start to finish these guys were great. One thing that surprised me is usually when you hire a service like this you'll have one friendly supervisor and a few cranky employees. That was not the case here. They sent out four men to move us and all four were professional, friendly, and helpful. The did an exception job wrapping all the furniture to ensure it didn't get damanged. In fact, I usually expect that a few things will get scratched and broken during a move but as far as I can tell, nothing was damaged in any way at all. The four guys did an incredible job and I would, without hesitation,hire them again or recomend them to friends.

The price was really good considering that we had a huge house. We moved from Arlington Heights to Evanston. They were on time and took care of the stuff. They were very efficient and easy to work with. I was really pleased with them. The only minor thing that I would say is that they did leave some tapes on some wood and metal items. The tape hadn't come off completely and that was a minor annoying. It was just a few things and I think they were in hurry or something. Overall I was very pleased.

Everything was good. It was a good experience. They moved all of the boxes into a van, and stacked them into a way where the boxes would not move around when you are driving. They were very efficient.

This is the 3rd time I've used USA Moving and they were great again. The movers even made an unplanned stop a few blocks out of the way to pick up a refrigerator for me. Hauled it down 3 stories without a complaint or extra charge for the stop.

Very fast response and provided me with a couple of follow ups asking for an update on my decision - which I appreciated - but I ended up going with another company. Their reviews were good on Angie's List and would give them a shot again should the folks that we ended going with not meet our expectations. Our decision, since we received a lot of fast responses and good service with all pricing similar, we ended choosing a company that was located closer to our home.

They were very careful. They moved my piano and antiques. They did a great job but it was expensive.

This is the second time I've used USA Moving and Storage and again I'm very satisfied with their professionalism, their attention to detail and how hard they work! We moved on a horribly rainy day and the movers had to walk from the truck to our front door on a walkway that was underwater in most parts. They never complained and were so efficient in protecting everything so it didn't get wet. Also, we had just had our place repainted and they did not leave even one single mark. I am so impressed with this company.
