It went well. They were really nice. When I initially called they spent a lot of time explaining the whole process. The only problem was when they put the vent covers back on at the end of the day they chipped some paint on the walls in one or two places.

95We just purchased a home in Schaumburg and hired Duct Masters Inc. to clean out the duct work, which had never been done in the home's 34 year history. They were very professional and Roger described in detail what they would be doing. They were very thorough and cleaned up very well after they performed their service -- there was no sign they were ever there (other than very clean ducts!). Roger, Chad and Junior did a great, thorough job on our home. They were there for over 6 hours and appeared to cover every inch. The house actually smelled clean when I walked in. I'm glad I went with Duct Masters and will recommend them to anyone. My parents will be hiring them next.

It was very painless. I expected more of a mess but to my surprise it went very smoothly. Duct Masters are very professional and they definately know their business. I will be using them every 3-4 years as recommended. It's like having a breath of fresh air in our home.

Chad, Roger and Allen all did an excellent job. They were polite, efficient and very friendly and informative! I was very happy with their services and would recommend them to anyone!

My wife and I had purchased our first home. This home is about 20 years old and I had absolutely no idea that we needed Duct Cleaning. We search Angie's List and went with DuctMasters. Roger was the most professional, courteous, and detail oriented individual I've had the pleasure of working with. He explained the ENTIRE process, the line items on why he charged me a certain amount, and finally was very honest on what I did not need and absolutely needed. I highly recommend Roger and His Son.

They were very nice and showed up on time.

We hired Duct Masters to do an air duct cleaning in our home. We just moved in and the home is 40 years old and the prior residents had a dog. We were very pleased with the work that Duct Masters did. They were very efficient and courteous and thorough . I can't say I'm a duct cleaning expert, but the process they used was very thorough and they explained their process as were working. I would definitely use them again. We were very pleased.

They were very good. They owner is Roger Allen, and his son is Chad Allen. They did a good job, and they offered to do more than I really even had planned on, and they charged me a very fair price on what they did. I would recommend them to others. The price included cleaning and re-installation of the dryer including the parts.

The job took a little longer than estimated but I would give them a very good recommendation as I am in the HVAC wholesale business and have seen some real scam artists over the last 30 some years.

Called to set up an appointment later in the week, but they were willing to come by at 6:00 in the evening after finishing another job in the area. Could not have gone better. I was not much help in determining where the dryer vented externally or answering their questions. Fortunately, that did not matter much as they knew where to look. I was amazed at everything that came out of the vents. They were efficient and could not have been nicer. Put the dryer to the test and it is drying much faster. Would like to get all the vents cleaned and will definitely call them for that job.

When Roger and his crew arrived, they introduced themselves and explained how they were doing to proceed. Floors were tarped, vents were initially vacuumed and covered. After their vacuum (positioned outside) was started, they proceeded to rod the ducts through each of the air vents with various attachments. Upon completion, they reviewed their work with me. Their estimate was also accurate.I would definitely call them again for future work.

Our dryer vent had gone too long between cleanings, which ended up creating a backup of lint and a minor fire in the dryer. Knowing I needed the vent cleaned I found Duct Masters through Angie's List. I called and left a voicemail (they must have been out on a job). The co-owner, Roger, called back that evening and scheduled a visit for the following morning. He came out with an assistant and proceeded to clean the vent. They pulled out a lot of lint, but could not be sure that they got everything since we couldn't test the dryer until it was checked for damage. He even recommended an appliance repairman to use (which I checked out on Angie's List, then called). Later that afternoon the appliance repairman determined that the vent was still clogged. Duct Masters came right back out (within an hour!) and cleaned the vent a second time. With the dryer now working to check things out, they were able to be certain that the vent was clear - and the dryer is now working better than even when first installed. They did the best they could the first time (without being able to properly check) but I really liked the "get-it-right" attitude and the nearly immediate return to do that. I will definitely use Duct Masters again in the future.

Overall I think it went very well and I was pleased with their services. Two other quotes from Angie's list top rated contractors came in at $400, so Duct Masters was a little bit more pricey but I liked their service and the fact that they explained the duct cleaning process to me in detail over the phone. No pushy sales guys here! The three gentlemen spent about 3 1/3 hours at my house cleaning vents. I know I wouldn't work that cheap... imagine hiring a plumber at those rates! I just purchased this home and I feel now like I have the peace of mind that the HVAC system is clean. The previous owners had pets with bad habits so cleaning out the animal dander and SANITIZING who knows what else was a must! I was also told that there was lots of construction debris in my vents so I can assume this is the first time any real cleaning has ever been performed. I was also impressed that the guys also took time to actually wash the heat registers in my laundry tub, and not just clean the inside of the vents themselves. It's little extra things like that that really made their service worthwhile. I will definitely recommend/use Duct Masters again!

I called them at 8:30 in the morning. They said that it was possible that they could come that day, but that Thursday or Saturday looked more promising. In the late afternoon they called and asked if it was OK to come at 6:30 in the evening. This was ideal for me, so I said yes. they arrived and proceeded to clean the ducts, replace the hose and clamps, and leave everything clean.

They arrived on time, explained their methodology in detail, set up their equipment and performed the job. Throughout the job they showed me what they were doing, including how they create and then reseal openings in ducts. The crew took care of everything needed, including moving and replacing a piece of furniture. The job was done in the time they estimated, and except for a small amount of dust left on some flat surfaces, the house was left very clean. With the exception of one paint chip and a couple of loose screws on registers that were poorly installed to begin with with (not their fault), the house appears otherwise undisturbed. They even returned to reinspect the furnace plenum several weeks later at no charge. Roger and his crew are very professional, competent and affable. I would recommend them highly.

We called Duct Masters after using a competitor previously who did a poor job. Roger (the owner) gave me an estimate over the phone, and it was right on for what they actually charged in the end. We had 25 vents in our home, one furnace, and one dryer. They did a very thorough job and explained the service in detail. All the vent covers were covered (we used people in the past who did NOT do this), and all intakes were unscrewed and put back on nicely. Chad explained to me the benefits of using a media filter for our electronic air filter, plus he checked out our built in humidifier and cleaned it. After doing a great job, they cleaned / vacuumed everything, and even relocked and closed doors that were closed when they arrived. Overall, they were very professional on the site, and are extremely friendly (pet friendly, too!). The job was done the correct way, and I would use them again when we are due for a cleaning!

The Ductmasters guys came and cleaned out the entire ductwork on my recently-acquired 1920s house, which has a labyrinthine mess of ducting from various additions to the house. I can't say enough good things about the crew. They were incredibly professional, very careful and did an incredibly good job. I'm not sure that the ductwork had ever been cleaned out, and we noticed a huge improvement in performance of the air conditioning unit straight after. The job took longer than they originally thought, but they called in additional help to get it done the same day, and the price was unchanged from the quote. However, it was the care they took to let me know about the intricacies of my system that I really appreciated. They pointed out the room that had two returns and no supply. They pointed out suspected asbestos cladding around water pipes in the basement. They pointed out which ductwork was a potential problem.They were also incredibly pleasant to deal with, took a great deal of care to explain exactly what they were going to do over the phone and were just nice to have working in the house. I would certainly use these guys again.

They were great. They were very thorough. The people were friendly and very helpful. They cleaned everything. I would use them again in the future.

I called Duct Masters around noon today after finding their listing on Angie's List. I called and got an appointment for them to come out today between 4 and 5. They arrived at 4:30. They explained everything they were going to do and proceeded to complete the job. They made sure they cleaned up before they left, which I really appreciated. The service was discounted because I belong to Angie's List. Chad even brought in my trash cans before they left! Can't ask for better service than that!

Company was very responsive, professional and respectful of our new home. I would definitely use them again and would feel comfortable recommending them to friends and family.

These guys were great. Prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. We weren't moved in yet but had just painted and replaced some carpets and they were great about removing shoes, being careful, etc. They coordinated flawlessly with my wife and I to be let into the house, etc. Roger was very friendly and treated our 3 year old toddler with respect. He was also very helpful in explaining things afterwards and making recommendations regarding our specific setup. They also went above and beyond by replacing our dryer tube and vent exhaust cover.

I called for an estimate which they gave me by phone. Because they were in the area on another job, they were able to come out that very day. When they arrived they found that they were able to accomplish the cleaning more easily than anticipated, so they charged LESS than the estimate! What a pleasant surprise!

They were punctual, friendly, accommodating to our kids and dogs, kept the work space clean and explained the process along the way. They advised us about options for replacing our seriously dirty, outdated vent covers. I would hire them again and have referred them to several family members. Roger, Chad and Jeremiah were wonderful to work with.

Mr. Allen described his cleaning process after I explained the fore-mentioned problems. He answered all my questions and we agreed on an appointment date. On that day, the equipment was set up with the vacuum hose going through the back door down to the basement since the glass-block windows were too small to acccommodate the eight-inch hose. The cleaning job turned out to be more complex and worse than anticipated. The system had five lines and only one had been cleaned by the company hired in 1992 to do the job. Various debris such as dog food, prescription bottles etc swept into the ducts by the five children, were found along with soot, dog hair and dust. Roger and his two sons, Chad and Jeremiah had to cut holes in the duct system to clean it out thoroughly. These were resealed afterward. The Allens said they usually have to shut down the equipment once or twice to clean out the grates. In our case this had to be done five or six times. The system was that dirty. The job lasted almost seven hours. I can't praise the Allens enough. What an AWESOME team! They were professional, efficient, and courteous and never missed a beat when stopped to answer more questions.They also cleaned up when through, including scrubbing and setting the vents back in place. I would not hesitate to recommmend them to anyone. You have no idea what a change this has made in our environment. We no longer have dust and dog hairs blowing around. Our throats are not clogged upon waking up mornings and even more important----the heat is evenly distributed .The furnace goes on when the set temperature is down and shuts itself off when reaching the proper setting. Would I hire them again? YES,YES AND YES!!

We could not be happier or more satisfied with the service provided by Duct Masters. Besides being friendly and affable Roger and Chad and crew were prompt, professional, meticulous and incredibly proficient at their craft. We highly recommend Duct Masters. The price was exactly as quoted and was more than fair considering the over four hours they worked on the job.
