Sears Home Improvements - Siding

Do not hire Sears!! I live in Ohio and the installers were from Tennessee. I had to wait until they had a few installs in the area before they would put my siding on. The siding looks good and I am please with it. The customer service stunk! After the job was completed I was told that the left over material would be picked up the following Monday ( this was on Saturday). No one picked up material.... Thursday I called and could not reach the woman from customer service that I had been working with. A week passed no material picked up. Customer service woman called said material would be picked up. The next week material still lays in my yard, cant get a hold of customer service city is now complaining to me about my yard. Monday morning customer service finally calls back after I left messages three days in a row and says material will be picked up this week but I do not know what day. So I wait.... Wednesday, Thursday, Friday I call every day and customer service lady does not respond! I finally have had enough! After I call Sears headquarters in Florida and am assured it will be picked up called a a junk disposal company paid 100.00 dollars and got material removed. As of this date ( two months later customer service still has not called back. Beware of Sears! They are not a company to deal with. What ever they tell you please get it in writing so you have something in case you have to take them to court!

Dan was very professional. Answered all of our questions. We placed our order with him on the initial visit and it should be completed within 6-8 weeks. Hopefully, the work will be completed in a timely manner.

siding looks great from a distance but up close looks like an amateur did the work. trim around windows not mitered, tracks holding siding not cut to fit, caulk looks awful, left unused materials in driveway did not clean up their trash found drink containers scattered around yard. Called Jack who said hed send someone out but never heard back from them.

Customer service is hard to get a hold of. You contact them just to get updates on your project. They do not contact you. They do not stay in there contract frame.

Instal and materials are top notch. After though, service is awful. When they installed, my shutters were not there, the next day they had them, and of 9 windows, not one was right. That is where it got bad, it took 6 weeks to get them installed. All were standard sizes. No one ever returned a call, after numerous tries, I finally had to call my sales person, and have him contact them for me. This is completely unacceptable work practices. Buyer beware.

Sears hires shotty subcontractors who jump from license to license and leave their customers with a mess. Sears cost us in excess of $200k to restore what they damaged on our home. Sears filing bankruptcy was a way to get out from under active warranties and the thousands of active lawsuits against them! Shame on Sears! Will never do business with them nor shop at one of their stores again. Eddie Lambert should be hung from his toenails!

I would not recommend them to anyone. The quality of workmanship was deplorable I with no siding experience could have done a better job in less time. What was supposed to take a week took 6 plus months and was still not done correctly. As of this date March 13 23019 the siding is still falling off of the house. The work was so poor that they even left there table saw on the property. Imagine that. Whatever you do, do not and I mean do not hire these people. I wish I could leave my address so you could come by and see for your self.

They are located in Louisville Ky. Didn't do bad on siding, but left a mess. The gutter job was a joke as well as customer service. Changes were made to the so called contract in order to save me money which never occurred. I was quoted a price for siding gutters and soffit, when they were done I only got the siding. Beware!!!

Project went smoothly and I'm very satisfied and happy with the product and the fresh new look on my house!

Over 60 days without starting work. No updates from the Project Manager. Missed multiple scheduled start dates. Pretty disappointed in this outfit. I thought I was hiring a premium service, however I would not recommend them to anyone. In the Richmond, VA area specifically.

Grrrrr. I should have known, the price was too good to be true. Bungalow siding was supposed to be installed last month. Now I can’t get a hold of anybody because the company is moving and the phones are routed to Portland???? So frustrating when companies can’t keep their word, and don’t give a f@ck what happens to you.

Although the job is not completed yet, it’s scheduled for the 2nd week in October, the customer service and the knowledge of the contractor who gave the estimate was superb!

Did a messy job caulking around windows and would not fix it. Told me to do it in 10 days or so. Pretty bad for spending over $25,000 for siding and gutters. Will never use Sears again or recommend them to anyone else.

Excellent work. They installed my new siding in a timely manner. My house looks brand new.

They do not call when they say they will customer service is the worst l have ever seen l am still waiting on their project manager to call, they took my deposit then left me hanging, l could not get on line to see the paperwork, l am left wondering what happens next.
