Great! The company responded promptly by email to our initial purchase of the coupon and scheduled for a mutually convenient date 2 - 3 weeks out. Mick arrived promptly, listened carefully to what we needed done and explained everything he did or found along the way. He was very pleasant, professional and competent.

He was professional and timely and offered suggestions (that was why the cost was higher than the original deal.) Would happily use him again.

I had them fix my outlets which had blown out. They have held up fine since they did the work. The price was reasonable and I was satisfied with the quality.

I'd used Sound Construction previously, they replaced 3 light fixtures and did a great job. This time, it was a different person and they said they would be unable to go into the attic to install the wiring for the light switch in the 2nd bedroom due to the heat. It was warm that day but it wasn't July or August, it was only May. I was very disappointed since they had asked me on the phone if there was attic access to install the light switch, so it should not have been a surprise that going into the attic was going to be part of the job. I wished they had told me what that particular electrician's limitations were on the phone so I could have rescheduled beforehand based on the forecasted temperature or asked for a different electrician. To be fair, the electrician did ask if I wanted to reschedule the entire appointment before he started the job, but it was really too late at that point, since I had changed my schedule to be available at that time. He did do a good job on the one switch he did install, which did not require going up into the attic, but it only took half the time I had paid for and I didn't have any other electrical work to use up the rest of the time. I ended up using another company to do the other switch.

It went OK. I had some problems from previous construction that I needed looked at, and he couldn't find the issues so I just had him replace some outlets. They were very professional and courteous, and I'd like to use them again.

Our experience with them was good. We had some emergency, and they were able to come. They adjusted to our schedule, and we were happy with their service. There were no additional charges. The good part was that he knew what the issue was and was able to take care of it immediately even though it was cold winter. Ever since, we have not had any problems. They were able to tell and explain to us what the issue was. The price was fine. We bought the $100 deal, but it was for two hours, and they finished sooner.

Arrived on time, worked quickly, left no mess, and hit quoted price. I'm happy.

Setting up the appointment was extremely easy - a big plus in my book. The electrician was punctual, arriving a little before the designated appointment time. Based on our phone conversation, he had loaded the truck with all necessary supplies, obviating the need to make a run to a supply shop - again, a big plus. He was very thorough in explaining what would need to be done, as well as what problems we could encounter in running the line, and had a number of options to choose from should we encounter problems. As it turns out, no problems encountered, and he completed the work in a very timely manner. Very professional, extremely competent, and very easy to work with. We are extremely pleased, and will be hiring this company for additional work over the next year.

I purchased a Big Deal from Angie's List to replace my extremely noisy and ineffective bathroom exhaust fan with a new, ultra-quiet model. The guy that came out (forgot his name!) called the day before to confirm, called 30 minutes before showing up, and showed up promptly at 8:30, as planned. He was very professional and courteous and did a great job. He finished the job in about an hour and did a great job cleaning up after himself, I was very impressed and would definitely consider Sound Construction for more work, in the future.

They were very professional and very good. They did good quality work. I would use them again.

He was very knowledgeable and efficient in completing the repairs. He was organized and prepared as he asked ahead of time what needed repairing so as to be prepared with what materials were needed. He did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend him to others.

I emailed back and forth for several days before we committed to an appointment date. The electrician arrived on time and worked hard all day. We talked through the work needed and he kept me updated throughout the day. He finished about an hour before the end of the day, but I was out of things for him to fix, so I sent him home. It cost me about $100 in parts, but he did quite a bit of work, so this was reasonable. Overall, I'm very happy and would use them again.

It was very good. The best part was the professionalism and the way he was able to solve the problem. The price was great. They're really quick.

"Mick" (spelling of name?) was outstanding! He phoned me ahead of time to inform me he might be a little late...when he arrived a little after 9:00AM, I informed him that he was NOT late, as Joe (owner) gave me an approximate arrival time of between 8:30-9:30, which Mick met easily. Mick took a thorough look at the bathroom and the existing fan configuration. He explained how the work would proceed, and was meticulous in ensuring that everything was done right. In fact, he even replaced the switch for the fan, showing me how the existing switch was falling apart within the wall!!! He explained to me how to patch the hole in the ceiling (the new fan is slightly smaller than the previous bathroom exhaust fan), and was diligent in ensuring that he cleaned up after himself, utilizing a shop vacuum, and garbage bag that he brought with him. All in all, it was a pleasure to deal with Mick and Joe and their company, I will DEFINITELY look to utilize them again, should I have any needs in the future!

The technician was very pleasant and personable. He arrived on time. I asked him to check the garage interior electrical outlets because our garage door opener was failing intermittently and seemed to be losing power sporadically. After approximately 20 minutes, he told me that he checked all of the garage outlets and they all seemed to be working fine, and he assured me that they were wired properly. He seemed to want to chat for 10-15 minutes, then spent another 15 minutes in the truck -- this seemed to be to fill up an hour for billing. He billed me $95 for one hour of service -- when I asked for the senior discount that Angies List said they offered, he said that his office told him that we could only get a senior discount if we gave them more work. After he left, the problems with the door continued. I had another electrician look at it and it took him 10 minutes to find faulty wiring in the outlet that the garage door was attached to. He replaced 20 feet of old wire and the problem was solved. He charged me $45.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The experience was fine. I paid more. They were very knowledgeable. They got the job done so I would recommend them. I was very pleased with what they did. I can't really assess the quality because they just left an hour ago. They were professional.

From the initial call to Sound Construction through the installation of the attic fan and assessment of various electrical needs my home and I were treated with respect and given a fair price for the work completed and the work to be done. This company has true integrity related to price quotes, work done well and the people who are employed and own this company certainly are the cream of the crop. I was very pleased with the work done and the fair prices for these services. Sound Construction is a company that I will return to and will recommend to anyone needing their services.

Bought a BIG DEAL for two hours of electrical. They responded very quickly, but do not service Chicago area and very professionally. I am getting a refund and have found a local electrician

The experience was excellent. It didn't take them long, and they did a good job. The one guy got hung up, way up in another suburb, so he had his other employee come out and do the job, and he did a good job. The pricing was good. I will use their service in the future.
