Description of Work: Sound Construction did a great job on some miscellaneous projects that I had put off including repairing water damage on the roof of my front porch, replacing some rotting woodwork and repairing my deck. They were terrific.

Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal to extend a ceiling fixture to a new location. I am very satisfied and give them straigtht A's except for rewsponsiveness. This was a quirk since they filled up quickly as a result of the Big Deal. Joe was very personable, professional and did the job quickly. I will use them again and will definately recommend them to friends and anyone else who needs an electrician.

Description of Work: Ralph was on time and did a marvelous task of fitting two new doors into a 65 year old space. We will call him again for our carpentry needs.

Description of Work: I have not used their services yet but plan to right after the holidays. I had some questions for this company on what was included in the deal and what were the costs if I went over, etc. Joe was sooooo on the ball. He answered me within 4 hours and answered every question, without me having to reply again asking the ones that might have been missed. He was very professional and his answwers were right to the point and what I feel was honest.

Description of Work: Mick was a great guy to work with. He assessed the problems and listened carefully to understand how to fix the lights and electrical outlets. He pointed out two VERY IMPORTANT points in my home. The first was the outlet in the bathroom. It never seemed to work. When MIck followed the line, he found it was not connected to the circuit breaker. At the same time, he learned the contractor had connected the jacuzzi bath to the smoke alarm, which was a very clear code violation. Second, Mick discovered the transformer for the undercounter lights in the kitchen had been hooked up to a low voltage transformer but the light wattage output was considerably higher than the transformer could handle. He showed where it could have resulted in a fire. I found a suitable transformer and he changed it out. Feel much safer in my home. Thanks Mick!!!

Description of Work: I had several things taken care of - light switch dimmer installed, light fixture on deck replaced with new fixture, exhaust fan/light fixture replaced in bathroom and single outlet replaced with double outlet installed. I had purchased the wrong kind of dimmer and the electrician went to Home Depot and bought the right one. Also, he called me to let me know what time he would arrive and called to let me know that they could get to me sooner than planned because of a cancelation. It was an excellent experience! I have written a critique to Angie's List but must have incorrectly entered my information. Thanks again. I have had nothing but the best of experiences after using Angie's List. Jane Ragan

Description of Work: we purchased one of Angie's Big Deals for 2 hours of work. Sound Construction was on time, professional, and was able to complete some minor electrical work replacing an outlet and two switches. They cleaned up when they were done and we talked about doing some future projects. I would hire them again when we're ready to do more work!

Description of Work: This was an offer for a $179 installation of a new bath exhaust fan. Joe was extremely responsive, and called to confirm his arrival time. Joe was timely, efficient, professional, and thoroughly explained what he would be doing. i have to say, it was a pleasure to meet him, and I will definitely contact him for any future work.

Description of Work: Spent about an hour to installed a dimmer switch and also diagnosed problem with under cabinet lights. Problem was the transformer that controls lights. I pre paid $89 for two hours service (used only one hour) through your internet deal for the first However, had to come back another day with the new transformer and had to pay for another hour's service. If the electrician had the part in his truck it could have been replaced the first visit and saved the additional hour charge. Other than that everything is working fine and YES, I would use their services at another time if needed.

Description of Work: Excellent customer service; friendly, and knowledgeable. I hired this company to install an exterior electrical outlet, and the service was on time and done properly!! I discovered that the company offers other contractor services beyond the scope of electrical. I plan to hire them for additional jobs in the future.

Description of Work: Installed ceiling fan. Electrical box in ceiling and fan swich on wall and ran wiring from switch to box on ceiling. Total price included $89 for2 hours labor (Angies List Big deal) and $55 for parts. Actual time spent was over two hours but no additional charge. Very happy with their service.

Description of Work: This was a gift to my daughter who moved into a new (old) home recently. He replaced the ceiling fan in the kitchen, the chandelier in her dining room AND the foyer light (two-story foyer). My daughter was very pleased with their work. We thank them.

Description of Work: I never got to use my purchase of electrical work needed for $89.00 in 2011, so I am a little afraid to use Agies List for other remodeling work that I need to have done around my home. I need 3 ceiling fans installed replacing a ceiling light that is switched and a replacement of three bath fans. I have the lighted ceiling fans with the support brackets and the bath lighted exhaust fans. I just need the electricion to install them.
