Description of Work: Joe and his team build a fabulous pergola for our patio. We considered purchasing a prefab kit but it was not quite the size we wanted. Joe was able to design a pergola to cover our patio almost completely. His team was punctual and professional. Communication was great and overall easy to work with. We have received many compliments on our pergola. We are very pleased with how it turned out and would use them for other remodeling projects. Highly recommend.

Description of Work: NONE. As the saying goes, if it seems too good to be true it probably is. So I saw their ad, and gladly paid $89 in advance for two hours of service as advertised on Angies list. When I called to schedule the work (which I needed done for my condo in Lincoln Sq. on the North side) I did get a fast response, but the response was a curt "sorry we don't go to the North side"...well then why the heck are you on Angies list advertising special deals, and why are you taking my money then not doing any work because my location is inconvenient. Note, there were no geographical restrictions with the Ad.... Sorry this "offer" is a complete scam. I want my money back. If you need a reliable and responsive electrician then I recommend Wade Wilson of Wilson Electrical. He came out that night, charged just a bit more, and did a GREAT JOB.

Description of Work: We had a bathroom redone some time back and the company is no longer around. The outlet in that bathrom did not work from day one, but it was never used. We had that issue resolved. Deveral other code violations were discovered and fixed as well. I would use them again. The "B" on punctuality is only because it was a 9:00am Saturday morning appointment and he ran the bell at 8:40. I was still in the shower and he really shouldn't have come to the door that early without at least a call. However, he made up for that minor flaw with very professional and competent service.

Description of Work: Joe came to my house on time and repaired a light switch which was the cause of several light switches not working. He also tested all the light switches that I asked him to test that I had not used in a while. Joe did this with incredible speed and professionalism. I had purchased a 2 hr. coupon and by the time he was finished, he worked so rapidly, I still had time left over. He will be coming back to use up the rest of the time left over from the coupon. Joe is incredibly efficient.

Description of Work: Services were never performed because it took 4 days before I received a return call from this company. Not even an apology was given or a reason for the delayed response.

Description of Work: He installed several wall outlets and a switched overhead light. He also looked at the work he will perform on his second visit for an additional two hours. Very happy with service.

Description of Work: Joe came out & looked at my ceiling fan that had a remote that didn't work, and we talked about installing a KVAR Energy Saver. Joe said that he had never installed one, but that he would look it up on the internet and learn about it. A short time later he called and said that he could do the job and so I purchased a special certificate that he had advertised on Angie's List. It was $89 for two hours of electrical work. On the day he was to install the KVAR unit he and an associate arrived on time. They got right to work and discovered that an additional part was needed so Joe went to purchase it. The other guy continued to work. They completed the job in the time allotted. The unit works fine. There have been no problems with it. Then they came upstairs and tried to get the fan to work with the new "universal" remote. They could not get it to work, but fixed my old remote instead. They were very friendly, workman like, and cleaned up after themselves. I was very pleased with their work and would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: Joe was VERY fast returning emails and was flexible in scheduling a date and time due to my crazy travel schedule. He arrived promptly and got right to work. I was impressed that he was more concerned with the functionality and proper placement of our outdoor flood lighting than he was about what would have just been easiest for him. Joe worked continuously and efficiently leaving no mess after a job well done...on time and on budget...2 hard-to-find qualities! I will recommend Sound Construction to family and friends without hesitation!

Description of Work: We had the Angies coupon for $89 for 2 hours. We got everything done, just paid extra for the parts they had to buy. They sent 2 guys, so we actually had 4 hours of work for $89. They were punctual, early even, texted me when on their way, cleaned up after themselves, couldn't have had a better experience. The work was done exactly as we wanted it, better in fact, because they picked out a teeny tiny timer for our outdoor lights that we never would have found. I would definitely use these guys again.

Description of Work: I purchased the two hour deal from Sound Construction for $89. Joe and Aaron arrived on time and did a great job. I needed help with a kitchen light fixture, a dimmer switch and a couple of wall outlets. All jobs were completed quickly and professionally. They cleaned up and took away all the unworking parts. This experience was terrific and I would use Sound again and recommend them to all my friends.

Description of Work: Joe and a partner came in and installed 2 ceiling fans, and also attached some extenders on a trac lighting system. They were very courteous and professional. In fact, Joe and his dad had at my request stopped out a few weeks before to get an idea of the work that needed to be done, since they were already in the area for another job. I had purchased two hours of electrical work on a deal through Angie's List on a prepay deal, and appreciated that they were able to stop out beforehand and confirm that the work required would not require more than the two hours that I had prepaid for. I would definitely use Sound Construction again.
