Excellent! - Ken came by first thing the next morning (we called him at 6:30 PM the night before). He did a quick diagnosis and identified a broken capacitor on the condenser fan. Friendly service, and direct.

The team was very professional and did a great job! I will use KET again as Ken is very responsive and friendly to work with. They arrived on time, did a great job and there were no problems whatsoever.

Our AC stopped working on the afternoon of Saturday, 6/18/2016. Fortunately, the temperature cooled off enough in the evening for us to sleep comfortably. Sunday morning, Father's Day, I searched Angie's List for HVAC providers and found KET as the only one in my search radius that had regular hours on Sunday. I left a message first thing in the morning, and received a call back from Ken, the owner, a couple of hours later. Ken confirmed that he was available himself, and would be out around noon. He called around 1pm to say that he was 30 minutes away. When he showed up at 1:30pm, he went right to work on the outdoor unit. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a bad capacitor with some damaged wiring and contacts, showing me all of the parts in question and explaining it thoroughly. Fortunately, he had a replacement capacitor with him, and was able to complete the repair on the spot in about 30 minutes. We were thrilled to have our AC back so quickly, and were impressed and thankful that they were available on a Sunday, especially with it being Father's Day. We would definitely recommend Ken and KET Home Services.

On 3/7/2016, I purchased a $75.00 furnace tune up special on Angie's List. On 3/8/2016, Ken contacted me with a 3/10/2016 date to perform this work at 8:00 AM. I agreed to this time frame. At 7:55 AM, Ken was parked in my drive way ready to work. He grabbed his tool bag and we went to the furnace. 45 minutes later Ken said he was finished with the tune up but he wanted something he wanted to show me. On one of the pipes there was moisture leaking around the connection to the furnace. He said that he put sealant around the connection and that should correct the problem but to watch the area and if there was moisture in that area to give him a call. He also told me to use a different air filter to help the furnace run better. He also cleaned the furnace up. He left the area spotless. I was impressed with his professionalism and honesty, So, I requested a rough estimate to perform a relocation of my air conditioner. It was a very reasonable figure and I told him, that he's got the job to be done in April. He will be back to my house whenever, I need HVAC work to be done.

Ken is very responsive. Came out and told me exactly what was needed. I had several other bids but Ken was the only one that strongly suggested that the current system was not getting enough return air. He suggested he cut out larger returns for a much more effective HVAC. He takes the time to talk it all through with you. I also did my research on products and the American Standard equipment that he sells (particularly with a DC motor) is a phenomenal and very quiet product. Ken is fair and honest and I would strongly recommend him for any work with your HVAC.

Ken had contacted me prior to the install to get info on the old furnace; size and picture. Ken and his technician showed up on time 7AM to remove our old furnace and install the new one with humidifier. They thought it would take until 1-2PM for the install, but they were done and out the door by 11AM. They also fixed an air filter bracket that was defective and the cause for a huge amount of dust buildup on the old furnace. KET Home Services showed up on time, finished early, no "hidden charges". What more could you ask for, perfect install! I will be using KET Home Services for all future AC furnace tune-ups and repairs.

Ken was great. Bought a big deal for a whole house humidifier. I called Ken up, he came the following Saturday to install. In and out in a few hours.

My wife was home to allow access and he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He performed his service and answered questions we had. He did not try to push or upsell any other services. He did also straighten out a whole house humidifier concern while here along with unfreezing a digital t-stat that had a program jam(freeze.

Ken (the owner) was great. This was my first Angie's list purchase and I was concerned that I might not be able to get the furnace installed quickly. I had just moved, and discovered that the furnace in my new home was cracked! After purchasing the Angie's list deal, and filling out the online form, Ken contacted me within 24 hours, and set up to install the furnace ASAP. He researched the house online, so he knew what model would work and completed the work within the day promised. He also noted some shoddy "repair" work that had been done to the air conditioner connected to the furnace, took video and sent it to me, to make sure that I did not make the mistake of using the air conditioner which would in turn ruin the new furnace. It is not uncommon when dealing with home repairs to be quoted one price, with the final price higher due to "extras". This was not the case with KET. Everything was done as promised, on time, and at the cost promised. I plan to use KET in the spring for a new air conditioner.

Ken came out right on time as promised. My husband was home, and he explained everything he did and answered all questions. His inspection and work was very professional. I would highly recommend KET if you need any heating or cooling services.

This was not necessarily an easy job because it was mostly done in a cramped and congested attic space, but Ken handled it well. He was thorough and very nice and helpful. When I made the original call, he came out in the same day. That's service. I will use them again.

Answers phone directly when he can. Ken was very responsive and professional. He obviously loves what he does and is very good at it as well. He quoted me a whole new system and put it in 3 days later. He was on time and finished exactly when he said he would. He explained anything and everything. He knows his stuff. He does good work. I would definitely use him again.

Ken was very prompt in responding. He accommodated my request for a Saturday. Overall he explained everything in detail. He is very honest guy and would like to call him back for my furnace tune up before winter. Only comment about this deal - it's not really a "tune up" but rather inspection.

Ken was our service provider who inspected our furnance and blower which did not need repair. He ran the unit and found that it was in good operation. He provided information on use of alternative filters to help maintain good airflow and recommendation for future furnace replacement/updating.

When our furnace decided to quit working late on a SATURDAY NIGHT during a bitterly cold weekend, I found KET Home Services on Angie's List. Ken came out within two hours of our phone call on Sunday morning to assess the problem and gave us the option to repair our 20+ year old furnace or replace it. No hard sales pitch and he got our old furnace working temporarily which bought us some time to decide. He gave us a quote for repair or replacement, and we decided to replace the furnace. Ken showed up when promised Monday morning and replaced the furnace. He took care to protect floors and carpet, and cleaned up when he was done. Ken impressed us as an honest guy who really likes what he does. He had a lot of good information to share. I'd gladly recommend KET Home Services to friends and family.

Unfortunately, our furnace died during a Chicago winter. Initially, I had 4 Seasons stop by to diagnosis the problem. I got the typical "my furnace is crap", "my house will go up in flames if I don't immediately replace my furnace", etc sales pitch. I did a quick search on Angie's list, and came across KET Home Services. I was impressed with Ken's responsiveness, and honest concern to help us. I wanted to highlight the following: Ken's quote to replace the furnace was significantly cheaper than some of the other big names out there. He took the time to walk me through the different brands, and sent Consumer Report ratings for the furnaces. The biggest plus, he's honest. The big name HVAC companies (4 Seasons) were pushing to have the A/C unit replaced (mind you the A/C you unit is only 4 years old). Ken took a look the system, and was impressed with the condition. He saw no need to replace it, and stated the system will run for another 15-20 years. He had the furnace replaced in about 2 hours. I highly recommend KET Home Services. Ken will go above and beyond to provide exceptional service. I'd like to thank Angie's list for being a faithful resource for top notch professionals.

As scheduled Ken came today to install the humidifier. He ran a little late but had called me in advance. Had a little parking issue since I live in the city. Once we found a good location to park, he got to work and was pretty quick about everything. He showed me how it worked and what needs to be replaced. He made sure he taped all the cuts with a foil tape to prevent any leakage. Ken drives a truck which make it hard to find parking especially in the City. We got lucky with finding a space. As usual I had a few questions and Ken seemed to answer them all. I noticed that ken received a lot of call which makes me believe that he is very popular and people call him all the time for advise. He is very polite and professional. Overall, I would use his services again. I have also given his contact info to few of my friends.

I need prompt service after our heater broke down. When I called Ken over the phone in the morning, he was able to provide explanation on why the parts needs total replacement and provided quick job quote which seemed reasonable. He showed up on time, quickly confirmed the problem, and fixed the heater right away. He also spent the time explaining some general maintenance recommendations and tips for me. He seems to be honest and trustworthy, and I have a good overall experience. The only complaint I have is that I forgot to ask for the 5% Angie's List member discount so I didn't get that.....

My gas furnace stopped working today and I had no idea why. I did my research and came across KET and decided to give them a try. I spoke with Ken and informed him that I did not know why the furnace stopped working. He said he would stop by in about 30 minutes. He was very punctual and professional. He looked at my furnace and said a cleaning was all that was needed. He proceeded to explain to me why my furnace stopped working and showed me how I can fix it in the future before calling for service if it were to happen again next year. I was impressed with the fact that Ken did not try to upsell or "fix" things that was not needed. I needed something fixed, and Ken did it, simple as that. I will definitely recommend Ken to anyone that needs an honest, professional and affordable priced service.

ken was very thorough in his inspection of the furnace. I tend to hang around and ask questions during the visit. ken was very good about responding to my inquiries. ken told me what he was doing every step of the way. as part of his analysis, he monitored the efficiency of the furnace. although the inspection was uneventful, he determined that the furnace was not operating to full efficiency due to the carbon monoxide reading. ken adjusted the fuel/air mixture to optimize the efficiency. I've had at my furnace inspected at least 2 other times (by different service providers) and ken was the first to observe that furnace wasn't performing optimally. ken calculated 91% efficiency and the furnace sticker states its a 92% efficient unit...not bad for a 14 year old unit! I've already told ken i'd like to have him visit in the spring for an air condition tune up. very professional and definitely will call back.
