I purchased a Big Deal for this one time service. I have a small yard. They billed me numerous times above and beyond what the Big Deal cost. I paid it. I'm not happy that they charged me more than I had expected when I purchased this deal and will not use them or recommend them to others.

I’m really happy with the work that they have done. They exceeded my expectation. They’re extremely professional. They have knowledgeable people regarding landscaping work. I have worked with another landscaping company previously that failed my expectations. These guys came in and fixed the problem. They were able to show me pictures and designs before any of the work was done for my approval. So just the process and thought that they did working for me was appreciated.

The aeration of the lawn was done with no issues. However, I was not given a date of when the soil builder was done or if it was even done. I check some areas of my lawn that had dead grass patched and noticed that there was no indication of soil on the area or soil being scattered in the vicinity.

The serviceman whom came out to estimate our lawn size, and what we need, was right on time. Extremely understanding of our hyper dog, and patient with our naiveness of his product, he took the time to explain to us what the applications would do and cost leaving us without a doubt that we could trust the product to not only, not harm us, or our dog. The technicians sense, have always called before their arrival, and been extremely punctual, and our lawn never looked better. If only we could get a more regular rainfall. We would have a prefect lawn.

The front and back yards of my house in Chicago have been largely converted to gardens with a little grass left to set off the flowers and provide places to set up garden tables. This year I have not been able to provide the level of gardening care that I have done in years past and because the weather has been so cool and wet, my garden had gotten really overgrown and lots of weeds had also invaded. I needed to get things back under control and I had a social event and garden party that needed the garden to be in top shape. I could not do the work myself. I called Greenwise because I wanted my garden work done be people who would take care to do a professional job of weeding and pruning and who could also do the heavy lifting of laying down new turf and hauling away a lot of plant material that had grown up and needed to be cut back. I also wanted a company that would be up to date with latest organic practices and recommendations. They did a great job. A crew of three landscapers showed up on schedule and got the job done as promised in about six hours of intense work. One of the managers from Greenwise was there at the start of the work to make sure it got off to a good start and he showed up again towards the end of the job to make sure I was happy with results and to take care of any loose ends. I recommend their service to others looking for similar services.

The service I received from Greenwise Organic Lawn Care LLC was really, really great. They were perfect. I hired them on to do other things for me. They have high integrity. They believe in their product. They're good people.

just as advertised. no contact with the provider after set up appt. they just showed up and performed aeration outside and left.

This went very well. I use them now for my lawn.

This year, Greenwise is providing every other week basic lawn care. In the past, we have also used them for lawn fertilization, and fall/spring clean ups. The lawn always looks great after they are done, and they are usually very responsible about moving lawn chairs back and locking the gate. We had a few issues last year when it seemed our messages were not being routed to the right person or not heard, but that seems to have resolved this year after we discussed it with them. We are very happy with their work, and would use them for other services as well.

They are wonderful, we like them a lot. Fortunately we live in an area where there is a lot of wildlife and unfortunately the deer came and chow the trees that we planted. But live and learn; it is delicious tasty trees for those deer. But we do like Greenwise as a business quite a bit. The first time we stuck with the $89. Then this guy named Mark, came out and spent quite a bit of time with us talking about our backyard and after that we've spent quite a bit more with them. They are pricey, but that is because they are using organic material. But I think you get what you pay for. They were punctual.

I wanted a "green" landscaping company and had an excellent and lengthy visit with one of the owners who outlined all the services that Greenwise provides. I decided to try them as our landscape service for yard maintenance and so far have been quite pleased with the level of care my lawn and flowers are receiving. But the major project was the removal of a large area in the back yard of lava rocks and dirt and the installation of sod and 2 trees. The care and attention I received from Gina, the landscape architect, has been outstanding. She came out to see the yard, discuss the options and listen to our budget. Her proposal was within our budget and the initial $500.00 coupon I received from the owner when he first came to discuss what services his company provided allowed us to buy an even larger tree than we first thought we could afford. Gina was on site to supervise the installation and make sure all my questions and concerns were addressed. The workmen even relocated several clumps of daylilies that had to be removed to install a better drainage system. Our yard looks beautiful and I am thrilled with everything Greenwise has done. I feel that I won't really have a total picture of the Greenwise organic system until next year when I see the results of all they do THIS year, I do feel confident that my yard and all my shrubs/bushes and plantings will be healthy and quite improved. I can wholeheartedly recommend this company to anyone wanting to eliminate pesticides and harmful additives to their outdoor plantings as well as receive excellent care for yard work..

It went well. Right now, the lawn is not in good condition so I will need to get it back into better condition before I use them again.

Silly me: I thought that people in the service business were eager to provide service. I spent a lot of time looking through reviews on Angie's List and on the internet generally because my wife and I wanted a company to do gardening work for us. We need help with pruning, feeding, and caring for our yard full of flowers, trees, bushes, and shrubs. We do not want a lawn service. I then took a lot of time to write a very specific e-mail explaining precisely this information. I made clear what we wanted and what we did not want. Imagine my surprise to receive a prompt response that gave every indication that the people at Greenwise either hadn't bothered to read my e-mail or didn't understand it. Their note thanked us for our query and said "You?ve definitely contacted the right place, as we have a variety of horticultural and fertilization services that will help your beautiful lawn stay that way." I responded immediately and said "If you'll re-read my message, you will see that I did not ask about lawn services. We're concerned about our gardens--about the flowers, the bushes, shrubs, and trees. We are looking for gardeners, not for lawn services. Please take a look at my first message again and let me know if GARDEN services are something you can help with." No response whatsoever. So I gave them several days and wrote back to ask if they were interested or not and asking for the courtesy of a reply. No response; not even a single line to say, "No, thank you." If this is what passes for customer service, I have no interest in knowing what they believe passes for professional service. Sad. And inexcusable.

Jung and Chad set up appointment & answered my questions. They gave clear & concise information. Mike did the aeration & spread soil builder. My lawn looked better following the soil builder than it did all summer. I talked to Jung and bought their winter fertilizer. I appreciated their guidance and like their organic products very much. I will use them again.

They are great. They were very knowledgeable. They are a growing company and very nice to work with. They usually send an e-mail at the beginning of their service week. They tell you when are they coming and what things you would need to do after watering the lawn or what to expect from the service.

The botanist they had on staff last year (she has since left) was amazing. She gave me all kinds of information about the plants in my garden, and made the yard look much more beautiful in just a one-day visit. The company also does a great job communicating about when services will be/have been performed. The lawn mowing service also always came when they were supposed to, and did a good job communicating when they wouldn't be able to (rare). I'm less happy with the seeding and weeding aspects of the lawn service--the bare spots on our lawn remained bare throughout the summer and fall, and I didn't see much evidence that the guys had done any lawn weeding, which was supposed to have been part of the weekly service. Otherwise, though, I'm very happy with the quality of the work--very attentive, responsive, and knowledgeable.

Lawn winterization and fertilization applied , no scheduling is needed, they provide the service based on some sort of neighborhood routing, left a note when job was done. I waited until now (the next spring from the job) to see the effect on my lawn: seems to be working - looks green and healthy, still some weeds but a lot fewer than earlier spring without proper winterization.

They were good and I have now used through 2 seasons for snow removal as well.

Arrived while I was home, but did not ring the doorbell or give me a chance to talk about what I wanted done. Left large sections of the lawn untreated because THEY decided that I did not want them done. This was not true. I told them they did not do the job I had hired them to do. They came back and finished it.

The service was performed very quickly and thoroughly. The only negative was the time it took to schedule the appointment and get a return phone call. I used an Angie's List Big Deal to purchase the service, so it wasn't until I asked for a refund from Angie's List that they returned my call and performed the service. That experience aside, I would recommend Greenwise. We used them for snow removal this winter and they were great.

Wonderful experience and we are anxious to see what new surprises our garden will produce with the helps of Greenwise.

My lawn is very average. I thought a couple lawn applications might help. A crew came out while i was not home; I don't think a specific date and time was set. No follow-up that I can recall. There was no noticeable difference in lawn, but I am sure more frequent treatment and care is needed. It wasn't that the service didn't work, it was just I couldn't see anything different, and stranger was that was that no one called or followed up to explain service, what it does, etc. It seemed like a missed opportunity for a longer term client. It may be a great service; I just can't say for sure. But based on this experience, I cannot recommend.

Everything was completed on time and without any problems. We plan to use them again.

Used my Angie's List coupon to have Greenwise come to my home and help with some spring fertilizing of my lawn. Having a newborn, I wanted to be as green as possible and avoid using chemicals on my lawn that could come into contact with my daughter. I typically do all my own lawn maintenance but with the little amount of time I had I figured I would give Greenwise a try. They applied three applications over the course of the spring and my lawn was the greenest one on the block. I was very pleased with the results and even without doing any additional fertilization during the summer months the yard continued to hold up well to the summer heat along with having minimal amounts of weeds. I plan on contacting them again for this season.
