We were very pleased with the service and the price. Spoke to Mike and explained that we had an underground dog fence. When they came out they were very careful to avoid cutting the wire and were overall very polite and professional. Their lawn treatment was ORGANIC and that was very important to us.

Everything went fine. They offered to overseed the lawn and when I declined, they told me which seed to buy so I could do it myself. Very professional. We'll work with them in the future.

Their products seem to do a fairly good job. With the exception of the Foliar Compost Tea, which was for weed control, I did notice an improvement in my lawn. The weed control did not seem to have any positive effect. The people at Greenwise were pleasant to work with and they send out informative emails. Where they need improvement is in their customer service/communications and billing. There were several times when they did not inform me when they were coming. In my case, it was important to know, as I have a locked gate. Additionally, they did not show up when they said they would and did not let me know when it would be rescheduled. The two weed control applications were completed within days of each other, which may have contributed to their ineffectiveness. One time a downspout had been removed and not replaced in its original location.Their billing was consistently incorrect. Although it was finally corrected, it took several emails and phone calls to get it corrected. Overall, it wasn't necessarily the worst service, but just enough errors and issues to make me look elsewhere.

I called the company, Sept. 4th (?) before I purchased the core aeration and soil builder deal to make sure I was in their service area. I believe I talked to Mike and he said yes I was in the service area. He said the optimal timing for the core aeration was Sept. 1- Oct. 1. He said that I didn't have to be home when the aeration was done, but that they would call me the day before to let me know when they were coming out. The week of Oct. 1st I called to make sure I was still on the list, I realize that my house is probably at the far edge of their service area. They said that my area was scheduled to be done on Tues. Oct 9th. On Monday the 8th I received a call telling me the work would be done tomorrow, and the next day they arrived as promised. The work was done very well. I would use them again.

I purchased Angie's List Big Deal from this company to perform Lawn Aeration and Fertilization treatment. The order was placed on 9/7. After I preped my lawn for service, I called the company today (10/10) to schedule for an appointment. Michael answered the phone and told me that he couldn't find my purchase because I am out of his service area. If you read the descritpion of their service area on Angies List, it states "Chicago's Northshore From Lincoln Park Up To Lake Bluff and As Far West As Arlington Heights.". I am in south tip of Vernon Hills, so I am definitely within the range. And I feel that either way they should have called me and let me know that they can't service my area because as soon as a Big Deal is purchased they have my information. I also feel that they want to pick and choose which towns to service because I know my house is definitely closer to Evanston (where the company is located) than Lake Bluff. I give their responsiveness, professionalism and customer service an "F" because of reasons above.

It's been great. They are always responsive and they are very personal; they treat you more like a friend then a customer.

They are a very responsible company. They have very good customer service; for example, I am having an issue with my front yard. I e-mailed the owner and he got right back to me and said he would come out and take a look at it.

I found Greenwise in May 2012 after searching online for organic lawn care products that would be safer to use around my dogs. My lawn was in a bad state after years of neglect and I was hoping to turn things around before it was too late! The guys from Greenwise came out within a few days to evaluate the lawn and offered a number of options for both immediate fertilization and weed control, as well as an ongoing program to treat the various issues (brown spots, weeds, different types of grass from bad seed). Within a month, after the first treatment and seeding session, the lawn looked completely different. I've since signed up for regular fertilizer and maintenance plans, as well pet-safe bug control and weed treatments. Best of all, I feel completely safe being out in the yard with my dogs immediately after all treatments. Thank you Greenwise for saving my lawn!!!

My communication with Michael at Greenwise was all via email, which is my preference. I had requested that we be given notice - either by phone or email - ahead of time before the treatments were done. This happened for one of the two treatments. Our lawn is indeed thicker than previously, but I am somewhat disappointed with the weed control provided by their products. I am still hopeful - because the natural products take longer to work than industrial weed killers - that their treatments will eventually help, but I've observed no significant improvement in weed control.

Lawn looks less weedy, I feel comfortable letting kids & dog play on grass due to organic ingredents

Did not speak to person applying the treatments. He arrived applied the treatment and left. Would have liked some contact and explaination of exactly what he was doing and future recommendations.

In addition to the email and yard sign, we could also see some of the granules of the cornmeal product they used. Part of the deal included a second treatment, for which they again emailed to let us know when they would come. Our yard looks sooo much better than it has. I also appreciate the email updates and information that they send out occasionally.

First time using this company and first time our lawn has been aerated. Our grass has never looked so good! Thanks Angie's List for a great Big Deal and thanks Greenwise Organic!

We really liked that they sent two design specialists to us to come up with an original plan instead of a cookie cutter design. They really listen to us.

I have a very difficult shade situation and we couldn't get our grass to grow. The organic treatment is working fabulously. Every year our grass looks better and better. Previously, we had large strips that were bare. I spoke with several other companies and nobody could help my lawn except for him. He really came through for me.

We have been very impressed both by their environmentalim and their professionalism.

Right after purchasing the deal, someone from the company emailed immediately to set up a time to apply the first application of fertilizer. I thought it was done in a very timely manner and they were completely professional. Great experience so far and would love to use as our regular lawn maintenance service but they don't cover our are for regular/weekly services. Too bad, but overall it's been a good experience.

They did excellent work. He was expensive but had good communication. If they were going to be late, they would send an e-mail and let us know.

Overall, the experience went really well. They were very responsive in terms of really understanding what my requirements were. They worked with other contractors to make sure things went smoothly. I was also impressed with how they incorporated some eco-friendly/environmental design into the project, which is what they do. The work turned out beautiful, and I’d recommend them to others.

I never use chemicals on my lawn or garden so I was happy to find a company that was completely organic. They were easy to deal with, did the job on schedule, and now my lawn looks greener and grows faster than it ever has before. There are still some weeds of course, but not half as many as I had in the past. I'm going to have them aerate the lawn and add gypsum in the Fall.

They company did an excellent job. I don’t have any complaints about them. The crew was very friendly and professional. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience and would use them again.

Someone came out and recommended all kinds of work, took the quote and then followed up with no response. Called and found out this person was no longer at the company, so Michael came out and made some great suggestions, he applied my Big Deal discount and waived some other things so that it was all very economical. The workers where out right on schedule and quickly restored my front yard so that it was ready for planting. The yard looks great.
