The up front communication was excellent and they followed through with the services as promised.

Went well. Only negative was no definite date could be given on when the service would be performed. The person doing the work did a very complete job.

I called Greenwise after purchasing the coupon and was told I didn't need to schedule anything - the servicemen would come by the house during normal business hours and apply the treatment to the lawn whether I was home or not. If I had questions I could contact the general manager. A couple weeks later I noticed a small sign sticking in the front lawn saying Greenwise had treated the lawn. The second time around there was no sign. To be honest I was looking forward to talking to the service person when the treatment was being installed. I didn't expect much out of just 2 treatments so I wanted to find out what the treatments consisted of, what they thought my lawn needed, what "organic lawn care" was really about, etc. Since I never saw or talked to anybody, I gotta say I felt a little gypped by the whole thing. I guess I could call them again and ask for details, but that's why I bought the coupon in the first place. I don't want to think about it. And that's really the crux of it I guess. I don't want to think about my lawn, which is why I would hire a service. But I don't want to be duped either, so I want some proof that what I'm paying for is legit and worth the money. I don't doubt that Greenwise treated my lawn twice, but if it weren't for that little sign I saw one day I'd have absolutely no way of knowing whether they really did anything or not, much less what that "anything" really consisted of.

We purchased the Angie's List big deal and intended to call Greenwise to setup an appointment time. Unfortunately, we were busy and finally called to see if we could schedule a day that one of us was home. We were pleasantly surprised at their initiative in that they had already come out and did the service back in October. They described what they did and told us what to look for as evidence that they had stopped by.

Overall, I can't evaluate the rendered treatment.

Great service, easy to communicate with Michael. They performed overseeding and it looked great, the only issue I had was that estimate I received and actual bill was pretty far from each other, but it was easy fixed by contacting them.

I wasn't home for the aeration so am not sure they did the entire yard. It rained and I was left no notification that they were there ... so a few days later I noticed some plugs when I was working in the yard ... but it was too hard to tell if they did a thorough or complete job.

difficult to make an appointment at first. they may have been overwhelmed with the big deal. they did not return phone calls or emails until the 3rd or 4th try. after making the appointment they rescheduled. they did a fine job on the aeration in the backyard.

They were great, professional and beyond nice. Admittedly I was a little skeptical because our lawn was in terrible shape after this last hot and dry summer in Chicago. I had given up watering in July because it just wasn't helping. Our lawn was brown and barely growing. Once I found the big deal for the aeration they offered to analyze my lawn to see what could help. They recommended a few fertilization applications as well as some reseeding. The lawn looks amazing right now and it is almost December. Our neighbors on both sides hire a conventional fertilizing company and I am proud to say our lawn now looks as good if not better than theirs. For us, the organic path was very important since our young children are always on the lawn. But the product speaks for itself as our lawn looks great. Can't wait to use them in the spring.

It was easy to organize with the owner and they planned to do the work at the end of October. They scheduled the work and did a great job. It was fast, easy, and I was use them again.

I bought an Angie's List Deal, called the company to schedule an appointment, they came out and performed the service within the week.

I love the premise that all their machines and products are organic or green, so least harmful to the environment. We have children and a dog, so this concerns us greatly. I also have chemical sensitivities. This company has done as promised. Just wish it wasn't so expensive. For that reason only, I will not continue to use them. They have been easy to work with and very responsive. If you can afford it, this is a great company. They are just as they represent themselves, and good for the environment.

Greenwise came out and did a great job. They called two days before and let me know they would be out. When I came home from work, the work was done and a packet was left explaining the work performed. Would use again.

They called the day before they came to do this service. The yard looks good and is ready for the winter. I like that Greenwise uses lawn care that is eco-friendly and safe for kids and pets.

Greenwise Organic Lawn Care is a very easy company to work with. They informed me about every step via e-mail, perfect for me. I purchased a Big Deal for the lawn service in August and the work was done by the end of September. Perfect timing to help my lawn for next year (assuming we have a normal summer)! I recommend Greenwise Organic Lawn Care. They are professional and proactive in providing lawn care services.

Marc Wise talked and talked, continually revising the original job. He revised the original estimate to overestimate the number of men needed for this small job. They were standing around, on my dime. The air conditioner was considered in the way because they thought it was on a concrete pad, so they left it sitting on a mound of dirt slanted toward the house. It was on a plastic pad, and I lifted it when I called Marc Wise back to demonstrate that it could easily be moved. They removed sod in a triangular shape near the west side of the house and put it in the former walkway where there was no sod. There is now a ridge where the place near the house where they removed the sod meets the rest of the lawn. Even though I called again to say water is puddling in this depression, they did not fix this problem of their creating and the dirt is not grated away from the house. Additionally, I felt the crew was trying to give me good work, and Marc was getting in their way. The job was chaotic: I did not feel I was in good hands. MW was called back twice, and he always maintained a calm tone to explain why he wouldn't finish the job until they came back at more expense. Avoid Greenwise. They may have gotten on hgtv with Ahmad Hassan, but there are far better and more experienced companies available at a more reasonable cost. My mistake to have hired them.

They did not respond to repeated inquiries, and at the end of 6 weeks had not performed any services. Angie's list gave me a refund.

They did just what they said they were going to do.

I had a positive experience with Greenwise. I spoke with someone at the company before I purchased The Big Deal to make sure they serviced my area. The man on the phone took a few minutes to explain the services offered in the Deal in detail to me and was happy to check my address for service coverage. Once I bought the deal I called back to confirm the details and ask if I needed to schedule. The same gentleman indicated I did not need to set up an appointment as they would be going area to area and would call me the day before they were going to perform my services but that I did not need to be home at the time. As promised, they did call the day before and confirm everything. On the service day, they came and performed the services they said they were going to and left a little door hanger recapping the services performed. As I said, I had a positive experience and would consider Greenwise again in the future for my lawncare needs.

I bought the Big Deal coupon on Angie's List after calling to confirm that they would do my neighbor's yard as well since our yards in the city are so small. Michael was very agreeable and said it wouldn't be a problem. He said they would be starting in a couple of weeks, so about mid-September they would call to let me know they would be coming the next day. The only negative is that they hadn't come by the end of September, and when I emailed I didn't get a response. They did call within a week or so to let me know someone would be there the next day. The person I spoke to didn't have a record of agreeing to do the two yards for one, but ultimately it wasn't a problem. Service was quick and seemed comparable to what I had done in the past.
