They overestimated the number of hours required for the yard work. The estimate was for 2 men to work for 4 hours or 8 hours. Our agreement was if the cleaning took less than 8 hours, the workers will do some other yard maintenance. Two men worked for 1.5 hours then came back another day to finish the job in one hour for a total of 2.5 hours per worker (or 5 hours total). We called them back to remind them that we still have 3 hours of additional yard work and would like to have them mow the lawn and do more cleanup. Initially, they said they have already completed the job. But with additional phone calls, they eventually agreed to do the additional yard work. Once they did that, we were very satisfied with the work done. We got lower estimates from other businesses but we were happy with the quality of the work performed by Greenwise. It was worth the price.

It went well overall. They were on time, finished within the stated timeframe, and the work was done professionally. What I particularly like about this provider is that they are flexible in service delivery in addition to maintaining a focus on minimizing the environmental impact of their services.

Our lawn was pretty dead, and we had used a couple of other companies to revive it. Greenwise used organic applications to improve the quality of our soil, and our lawn is doing much better now. They are very pleasant and responsive on the phone and by email, too.

I started working with Greenwise via one of Angie's Big Deals, which offered seasonal aeration and something called Prime, an organic soil booster which was added to help amp up the oxygen and nutritive content of the soil in our lawn. We live on a corner lot near two grade schools and get a lot of foot/pet traffic, especially on the easement lawn, so it needed help! My husband would often refer to our parkway as a "dirt farm" and we had nearly decided to just replace it all with hostas and ground cover. The Greenwise consultant who took a look at the lawn before setting the initial appointment for the aeration talked to me about different options we could try in order to boost and maintain the lawn after the treatment. I decided to continue maintenance with seasonal overseeding and monthly fertilization during peak lawn months. Within weeks the lawn had done a near complete turnaround and was maintaining well despite the heavy foot traffic and relative shade in the area. We've continued the service ever since and have been completely delighted! The technicians who come each service visit are fun and friendly and get along great with our big, sloppy dog who loves them back. Because we do have so many children and pets in our neighborhood it's especially important that our lawn treatment is kid/pet safe, and we're also sensitive to whatever may flow into the corner sewer for water reclamation. Greenwise is completely organic and I feel total confidence in their services and treatments, and would recommend them without hesitation..

I really wanted to love them, but I felt that they were more interested in selling a package rather than providing the service that they advertised, which is organic non-chemical landscape care. The person who came out for this "Big Deal" made me feel like I knew more about things than he did. He again tried to sell me a tremendous package which I'm sure would've been great, but it was very expensive. For some reason the next communication I had from Greenwise was that they were coming out to do this service that I had never authorized. They called and told me that they were on their way to do it and I said that was great but we're not paying for it because we didn't request it. They said never mind and that's when I think we got confused because we never got our spring fertilization. They did claim to come back out, but I saw absolutely zero evidence that they had been there other than the tag. There was nothing that you could see on the lawn and there was no indication that there was any product or anything applied and it was kind of weird, so I just decided to let it go and thankfully it was only $40.

The service provided was excellent, but there was a bit of a problem trying to get them schedule. They set up several days and didn't show up. About half the time they called and let me know they had issues with weather, which was understandable, but I had to follow up more than should have been necessary. Overall, happy with the service that was provided.

Everything went very well. Although it did not eliminate the weeds yet, the sales person explained to me that it will take a couple of years for the effects to work.

The company itself was very professional and responsive (for example, when i called to ask them to let me know when services would be performed so I could make sure the lawn had been mowed prior to application of products for maximum penetration). Unfortunately, the results from using their products were poor. After two seasons, my lawn looks worse than before I began using the company.

Greenwise came out and aerated our lawn and applied prime soil builder. They did a good job, hopefully we will be able to see a difference in the lawn come spring. I would hire them again.

We used the sixty-nine dollar deal with them. They came out. They did what they said they were going to do with our yard. We just moved into this house this spring. It needs a whole lot more than what one treatment would have done but I am certain that it did fine. I hope that the yard looks better next year. They have met my email so they send out timely reminders of what needs to be done in our yard and that is really nice.

Despite the Big Deal ad stating Mundelein was in their service area once I signed up for the deal they called to let me know they don't service Mundelein. I pointed out what the ad stated. A day later they called back and said they would do the service. Fertilizer was done just a couple days later and they left me a message a day prior.

They claimed that they had fertilized the lawn, but I did not see any evidence of anyone coming over. When I called them, they said they will do both the fertilizations at one time when they next come over. They supposedly did this but the lawn looked in bad shape even after that.

Greenwise came out on the appointed day and performed the service quickly and efficiently. They cleaned up after themselves and followed up with a request for feedback. I don't recall exactly the treatment they used for the lawn, but last year, there were none of the usual dandelions and crabgrass. The grass came back well. We were quite pleased. Greenwise sends occasional emails to their clients with reminders/suggestions about caring for our lawns. I am very happy with the work they performed and, as their name implies, they don't poison the lawn to get it green!

Immediately after hiring Greenwise Organic Lawn to winterize our lawn, they contacted me via email and telephone to go over their services and make an appointment. We arranged for the lawn to be winterized at the end of November. I did not need to be at the appointment, but they left a note when the work was completed. Very easy to work with

It is hard to rate this service that was done by this company as the results will really show up next spring. They did treat the entire lawn, however, and I can certainly appreciate the fact that their aerator did not damage any part of my lawn as past aerations by other companies have. I would definately consider using their services again.

After I bought the Big Deal coupon, I had to wait about 2 months for them to come and do the service. I called them several times during this time period. I was not at home when they did the aeration but my yard got greener and kind of perked up. The price was pretty good; other contractors charged more.

Man (can't recall his name) from Greenwise gave me a call to tell me that they would over in my area and see if it was okay for them to do the work then, I said okay. This was during week, so I was not there to oversee. When I returned home from work, the lawn was aerated, and letter was left in the mailbox as a receipt for the service.

OkaymI guess -- I purchased the advertised deal and contacted the company via email and then via phone. They never responded to my messages -- they just showed up one day and did their thing. They left a notes few days before saying they'd be in the area on a certain day and then left a note when they were finished. We were home, but they never rang the bell or anything. We just saw them going thru our yard. The price was good so I don't feel ripped off or as if they didn't do what they promised, but I was surprised that there was no personalized communication. We might have purchased additional services had someone returned my messages. Our backyard is a disaster and I don't know whether the aeration and soil builder did us any good or not -- I assume it didn't hurt but that we also need reseeding or ??? Also, I filled out their form about snow removal a couple of times. The system kept kicking the empty form back to me. I never heard back but assume they didn't receive my inquiry. I was submitting it via an iPad, so maybe that was the problem.

I called and they gave me a window of days for them to come out. They said that I would not need to be there but I wanted to watch. We meet on my day that I had time and they explained to me the way and how their service would help my lawn. I am glad to have found a company that knows its work and gives great service.

After buying the coupon from Great Deals, I called the company. They promptly told me that they does not service my city.

Responded quickly to my request for service. They were very honest regarding when they would at our house. Given that the fall is the time of year to aerate, they were extremely busy and apologized that they might not be there for a few days. They also were sure to call before they came so that we could make sure the gates were unlocked. The job was done well and our lawn looks great.

The up front communication was excellent and they followed through with the services as promised.
