PK Flooring

We were so impressed with Paul and the PK Flooring team. Paul the owner, committed to a date right away and never changed it. He had great communication with us throughout the entire project. His prices were inline with others and reasonable. They worked hard and finished exactly when they said they would and the finished project is beautiful. They use quality products and are very knowledgeable. We had hardwood flooring put in throughout our main floor, our stairs done, and our upstairs hallway. We were very appreciative that they were willing to remove the toilet, kitchen island, and appliances for the project. They were very thorough. I had at least 4 different people give us an estimate and I'm so happy that we went with PK Flooring.

In a word, beautifully! My Mother is a senior citizen, living on a fixed income and she's in the process of moving into a new home she just purchased. Money is tight so she hired a guy who was referred to her by a friend and who's prices were low to install hardwood floors in her new home. Well, we learned the hard way, you get what you pay for. These floors were horrible!! The stain was darker all along the walls, there were stain pour marks throughout the house and the floors weren't even smooth! We got Paul's number from a friend and called him right away. He was great! He came out and gave my Mother a bid to refinish these terrible floors. He even worked within my Mother's budget since she had already paid the other guy for the terrible floor job. Paul completed the job in about a week and they are absolutely beautiful!! He left the house so clean, you'd never know he was even there. Sometimes, floor guys splatter stain all over the walls, not Paul, the house was in perfect condition when he left. So glad he took such good care of my Mother and I'll definitely keep his number for when I'm ready to refinish my floors.

It was great. I gathered several bids on the project and PK flooring was not the cheapest, but I felt would do a good job. The biggest reason was Paul was willing to put the work into making sure the whole project looked like the one continuous floor. Others said we would have to have a small transition piece to join floors that would be approx 1/2 inch different in height. Included in the price PK quote was completely removing the existing old flooring layers and even the sub-floor if need and filling it in with plywood so the floor would be solid and the same level as the existing living room floor. We went with a very light natural wood color and it came out great. We have followed the recommendations for care and a year and a half later it still looks amazing! I plan to use PK flooring again when we redo the second level wood flooring. I was also impressed as Paul was aware we were trying to get it done in time for guest arriving for my daughters wedding and worked with us to squeeze into his openings and get it done. The only complaint I have is they didn't believe me when I said our refrigerator wouldn't fit through the door without removing its doors. He tried just removing the handles and it didn't work. He then forgot to put the handles back on before leaving. It was a minor irritation.

Excellent. Fast and efficient

Even though Paul typically works outside of the the city, he was great about coming downtown to meet us, review the job and faxed us an estimate which was very reasonable given the size of the job. He showed up when he said he would and even worked with us to push back the installation a bit as we were running a bit behind with the construction. He finished everything in less than four days, which was incredibly fast. He also added one coat to our common hallway stairs (three stories) at no charge! Finally, he came back a few months later once all of our work was done and put one final coat on the floors so they'd look new. I would highly recommend Paul.
