Did duct cleaning and dryer cleaning after MAJOR remodel.

The service was easily scheduled. The team arrived on time. The dryer vents were cleaned from the inside of the house and from the top of the roof. Mr. Duct work was superb. The techs cleaned up after completion of the job. I will use this service again.

POSITIVES: The cleaning of the air ducts was done promptly and efficiently. The cost of Mr. Duct is relatively high for the work that is being done. Still, it was a necessity as they had not been cleaned for 10 years, after my condo had been rehabbed. DOWNSIDES: There was no camera/video before/after the service. Ivan, the technician, told me that he "inspected" my furnace and that I needed a "hot surface igniter" and that he could install it for $200. I thought the pricing for that seemed unusually high, especially as it would be an add-on to my service. In the end, I didn't have him replace that. A couple of days later, I went to turn my heat on, and it was not working. I had just purchased my condo and had an inspection, and the furnace was functioning perfectly at that time. It had not been touched since then, until Ivan came to clean the ducts. My friend came over and inspected it and realized that the furnace igniter had been disconnected. There is literally no possible explanation for this except that Ivan disconnected it so that I would have to call him back. With that, I would recommend that you be very discerning if working with this company.

They were able to get me in within 24 hours vs. 1.5 weeks for other highly rated companies. A time slot opened and I was able to get the work done immediately. My dryer vents in a "unique" way given how old the house is. They completed the work within 45 minutes and cleaned up after themselves. While the vent needed to be clean, that doesn't seem to the be the issue. Oh well...

Well.....they did a good job of clearing the duct, and cleaning up after blowing out the accumulated lint in the hose, BUT they failed to attach the hose behind the dryer. We called and they were back within an hour to reattach the hose.

It was great! The team was very professional, introduced themselves and shook my hand when they walked in and asked to enter different parts of my house. They were very friendly and thorough. Job well done.

They were prompt, efficient, and did a great job. We have a long run with 3 different bends in it so they ended up using a compressed air blower from multiple points along the ducting. Lots of lint came out, which is good.

I recently moved into a home that had been renovated. I wasn't sure when (or if) the ducts had been cleaned, and having asthma I felt that it was something to invest in. I received an emailed quote as soon as I called. They included the dryer vent at no charge to me since I was having the ducts and exhausts done, which was fantastic because it seems like every company charges for things individually on top of the ductwork. And some wouldn't even do my bathroom exhausts. I ended up booking with Mr. Duct because the pricing seemed fair and they had great reviews. I asked for an appointment after 1pm because I had other things to do in the morning. They were able to schedule the day and time that I needed, only 3 days after calling. They did call around 11:30 and asked if they could come early. I said I wouldn't be home till 12:30 but they were welcome to come then. They did end up showing up promptly at 1, with a phone call to let me know they were on their way. Emmanuel was one of the guys who came and seemed to know his stuff. He took time to explain what they were going to do, how they were going to set up, and what to expect. I have a small house (under 1000 sq ft) so I wasn't expecting more than a couple of hours at best. But they used the entire 2 hours. I have arachnaphobia and one of my concerns was leaving the doors and windows open for spiders to come in. Emmanuel was awesome, and smooshed things that were trying to get inside! They explained things that may need some attention in the future, and even showed me a bird's nest in the dryer vent. He advised to get a bird guard, and said that he could do it but it would be way less expensive for me to get one from Home Depot. That was awesome. They did sweep up after themselves and took care to remove shoes in the house. Very professional, and I wasn't upcharged for anything. Would definitely recommend.

David and his associate came out and I explained the issue. His opinion was that the attic needed to be checked first to see if there were any dead animals up there. He stated that, in his experience, air duct cleaning did not necessarily remove odors. He walked around the house (2 story) with me and discussed the problem. I decided, after consulting with him, that air duct cleaning should not be my first response to this problem. I was very impressed with this company's responsiveness to my issue and the professionalism the reps showed.

My condo had just gone through a remodel, and the ducts hadn't been cleaned in 30+ years. So, I was anxious to get all that grossness of previous owners cleaned prior to moving in. I had another company scheduled to do this, but they abruptly cancelled in a rude manner. After searching reviews, I came across Mr. Duct. When I called, the guy on the phone was great and was able to schedule a crew to come with only two days' notice. I told him how relieved I was that it was still going to happen when I wanted. Fast forward to cleaning day... I'm there cleaning the condo with my family, and it's almost the time I'm expecting the crew to arrive. The guy from Mr. Duct called and said, "I'm sorry, but we won't be able to make it there today..." Before I could respond, he says, "I'm kidding! They'll be there in 20 minutes. I just wanted to get you since you didn't book with us from the start." It was HILARIOUS. I got got by Mr. Duct. I told him that's fair, and great job with the prank. The crew was very professional and careful moving their equipment around the freshly painted walls. The cleaning took around 90 minutes, and they kept me informed about the progress. In the end, they said they cleaned out a lot of debris. Right away I could feel the AC blowing stronger. I'm happy it was done, and I'd recommend this company to others.

Horriable. According to Angie's list they are insured, but they refuse to supply proper requested proof of their insurance. They should be removed as a contractor.

We scheduled a dryer vent cleaning a few weeks ago. We are on the third floor of our building and they were supposed to send two people because someone needed to hold the ladder. They only sent one person, so we rescheduled. We were given a two hour window and when we didn't hear anything I called to see what was going on. The person said someone called and cancelled. So much for the good reviews on here...This company really needs to get their act together. I'm very disappointed considering the other good reviews on this site. Totally wasted two hours waiting around on a beautiful weekend.

We have used Mr. Duct previously without issue. On 5-24 I contacted Mr. Duct in regards to our air conditioner not cooling and made an appointment for a window of 1:00-3:00 on 5-26. I received no call nor did anyone come during the window. At 3:20 I received a call letting me know we were outside of the window and would need to re-schedule. The next available time they could schedule me for was 5-31 from 3:00-5:00. I completely understand that it is a busy time of year as it has just started to get warm in the area, but find it unacceptable to not honor an appointment time and then instead of trying to get me in late, or the next day, make me wait 5 days and the last appointment of the day, especially when they've already proven that the appointment window may not be honored. We will not be using them in the future.

Mr Duct was terrific. I needed to have the vents cleaned by the end of march for my association. I called and made an appt, then due to illness and work had to reschedule 3 times, once even the Sunday night before a Monday morning appt. The people here were so understanding and so very flexible and didn't make me feel like the pain in the neck I was. The men that came out to clean the vent were very professional, spent time to make sure it was cleaned thoroughly and explained what they were doing as they worked. I would definitely recommend Mr Duct to anyone who needed this work done. I was extremely satisfied.

I was told technicians would be there between 11 and 1. I received a call at 1 that they would be there any minute. I called back at 1:45 because they were not there yet. The dispatcher called back to apologize and took an extra 10% off the bill which I felt made up for the issue. The technicians were great, efficient and extremely professional. I wrote a check for the amount which they assured me was including the extra 10% off. I thought everything was good and I was ready to write a good review. Then I got a call saying the amount of my check was incorrect and they some how managed to charge my bank account electronically for the amount they said I owed - without my authorization. How is this possible? I called them back and left a message explaining the situation - nothing. Finally when I saw the charge on my bank account I called furious about the situation and was handled very rudely. The office situation at Mr. Duct is inefficient and a mess. I am still fuming about the gall of charging my bank account without my permission and I still don't know what happened to the check I wrote them for the correct amount. The account manager on the phone treated it like a simple mistake but I consider their ability to automatically charge checking accounts, without authorization, an extremely risky situation and therefore I cannot recommend this company to anyone.

From the moment I picked up the phone and talked to Nora and Tracy to discuss their services, through Caesar and Manny leaving our home after giving our ducts and vents a much needed cleaning, Mr. Duct was an absolute to work with! After having our wood floors refinished, it was important to have our vents thoroughly cleaned from the saw dust. Not to mention, the HVAC system is 12 years old and could've used a cleaning anyway. Everyone I spoke to or met with in person were polite, courteous, punctual and professional! They came to me highly recommended and left with their reputation unblemished.

They did a fantastic job. They corrected the dryer duct work within the drywall, up into the attic crawlspace ensuring that the exhaust from the dryer properly vents outside the house. They provided exactly what they said they would, looks good, took only a few hours, and I was able to take advantage of a significant Angie's List Member discount. They were friendly, professional and exactly what we needed after poor service from another vendor. We will use them again for sure.

Everything went very smoothly. Last time the ducts were cleaned was almost 10 years ago. In that time, I've owned several long haired dogs and had the house recently repainted so plenty of dog hair and dust in the duct work. They were on time, (at the front end of the 2hr. arrival window I was quoted when I made the appointment), polite, professional, and efficient. My house has 2 furnaces and the price they quoted me was half of what another company quoted. No upcharges, no hidden costs. What I was quoted on the phone was what I paid. Would definitely use again.

We've been wanting to get our ducts cleaned since we moved into our townhome 4 years ago, but there's always other things you want to spend that much money on - you know? We had all new flooring installed when we moved in and knew there was alot of debris in the ducts from that, and when we also had our kitchen remodeled this Spring we decided it was finally time to get the ducts cleaned. I searched Angie's List for the companies with the highest ratings and called two of them for quotes - one of them was Mr. Duct. The person I spoke with was polite and professional and included a website coupon and an Angie's List discount in the quote. Mr. Duct also followed up with an email the next day and we decided to schedule with them. The day before the appointment we received an email to confirm the appointment and also received a call the morning of the appointment to let us know they were on the way. AJ & Rob arrived right on time, introduced themselves, answered our questions, and then got to work. They were professional & friendly and explained exactly what they were doing throughout the process and also showed us video of a few ducts before and after cleaning and offered to show us more if we wanted to see them. They also took care to help us keep our cat safe while they worked. Mr. Duct also followed up with an email the next day to make sure we were happy. Everything went smoothly and we're very happy that our ducts are clean!

I'm very pleased with the professionalism of this company. Scheduling was very easy, completed over email. The technicians (David and another person...I think Manny) arrived on time. They were very courteous and thorough professionals. David explained everything in detail. Thy took their time to clean up all the vents, returns and furnace. David showed the dust collected in blower motors and cleaned it up thoroughly. Absolutely no hassle in any aspect of service. Overall, this was a very good experience. I would use them again.
