GREAT experience with JOHNS! First a fast response to my inquiry, next fast project review and proposal. Once hired went to work within days and worked in extreme Winter conditions. Acquired needed permits. Took before and after pictures of all work including tuck pointing, roofing, parapet and brick work plus new fencing. Owners John and Larry were on the job and provided excellent supervision of workers. Once completed arranged for Building Dept. inspection and accompanied me to court hearing. I highly recommend JOHNS to all HomeAdvisor users in Chicago. Not cheap but excellent work and follow-up.

They came and did a thorough inspection before giving a quote. They recommended a couple of additional steps to the gutter repair to assure a longer satisfaction with the repair that we hadn't thought of or seen the issues. They came promptly on the day promised, stayed focused on the task, completed the job in the timeframe discussed and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. The work was well done and all three workmen were busy the whole time here. Things look great but I guess only time will tell how long the work will last. Hopefully as long as we discussed. Very happy with this vendor. Everyone was very polite, respectful and professional while at my home.

Good contractors, easy to work with. Very responsive. Definitely recommend for other home owners.

Work done as promised. Complete clean up done. I think it was a little expensive for a job that was completed by one man in about an hour. Two helpers only moved things. Very nice man and the work was done well

I thought I was paying for a complete tuck pointing job and found out when my brother in law came over and inspected the work that it was just an over priced patch job.

John and his crew did a terrific job in what turned out to be more than expected. What was to be a simple tuck pointing job turned out to be a major undertaking. The stone under my bay windows collapsed after 40 years of Chicago weather! They removed and replaced with new, looks terrific! Thanks again for Home Advisor recommending John's Affilliated Roofing & Masonry., they did a great job! I would recommend John to anyone that needs any type of masonry repair. Oh and the price he gave was more than fair for the amount of work that they did.

I felt I had been taken advantage of. I thought I was getting a complete tuck pointing job but received a patch job. Felt the job done was over priced.

Job not complete yet. Should be finishing up Monday. Still an issue to resolve. Wel'll see how it works out. Hopefully good!
