Great. He was on time and performed service a day after calling. My job was easy so he as able to fit me in at a reasonable time from initial contact.

I decided to hire Joe (owner) even though he was more expensive than some other quotes I got because he came out personally to assess the work and provide the quote. During the consultation, he answered all my questions (I had a lot), and he seemed very knowledgeable. I was impressed with the thoroughness of his assessment, and this quality carried through to the work. He recommended that the circuit work in the kitchen and basement be done on a time & material basis, rather than fixed price, because it would be cheaper, he ended up being right. Joe is very responsive via both phone and email, which I appreciate. Because the service upgrade involved work outside, weather was a factor in the schedule. Joe kept me informed of the schedule a day in advance, and ended up working in the rain anyway. He and his journeyman were able to upgrade the service in one day, and complete the other circuit work the next day. They worked efficiently with very little down time. Joe also convinced me to use an "air switch" for the sink disposal, even though he could have charged a little more to do more work to put in a traditional switch. (To be clear, he did not provide the switch, he just told me about it.) Lastly, I really appreciated Joe's follow-through to finalize the inspection after the city inspector failed us for something that was code-approved. Joe couldn't put the 8' grounding rod outside because he kept hitting something near the foundation of the house. So he put it through the floor in the basement next to the water main. The inspector didn't like this, but Joe explained to the inspector's supervisor that this was approved, and everyone agreed. All that's left is for ComEd to run the new service line from the alley.

He is fabulous. He recommended me to the contractor that I am working with now for a remodel. I liked his work so much when he performed my services in 2011 that I recommended him to a friend and she used him for the same thing. He is extremely well priced, he is very knowledgeable, and he is very good.

Dealing with Joe is a pleasure. He listens to your project need. Explores in detail different ways to solve the problem. Sets your expectations for timelines, cost, etc very accurately. Having worked with many contractors in the past the first thing I noticed was Joe's pace of work. Other people I asked were quoting twice as long for project completion. The quality of work at the end was quoted by the inspector as "top notch".

Joe is professional, is very knowledgeable, and had an innovation solution for installing light switches in my basement. He came highly recommended from a friend, and I give him high marks too. Because he's good, he's a busy guy, so it may take a while to get on his calendar. But for me, it has been worth the wait.

Joe did a great job and was very helpful, honest and hard working.

On time, efficiently completed all tasks and insured that we were code compliant.

I honestly cannot say enough good about Joe Fragola and his team. JF Industries has consistently exceeded my expectations such that other contractors have a high bar to reach in our eyes, and his motto, "The Way a Contractor Should Be" certainly rings true. When my wife and I purchased our first home in August and I set out to get estimates on running data and cable lines through the home along with some other work to bring our home up to code, he was prompt, cordial, thorough, and honest about the job assessment, scope, timing and all involved costs. The other contractor I solicited a bid from, who was the highest rated on another review site, gave us a verbal telling us it'd cost nearly three times as much--and the contractor never did send that proposal, either. Meanwhile, Joe and his team completed the project on time, with far less intrusion into our finished basement than the other bidder suggested it would take, and JFI was dead-on with the estimates. Joe's professionalism and continued dedication to doing a great job has extended to every other project we've done since, from small jobs to upgrading our service and panel--even after the job's done. He and his team have definitely earned our trust, and the quality of work speaks for itself--very highly, I might add. I won't even bother looking at anyone else. Needless to say, we will be calling on Joe and his team in the future for all of our electrical needs as our electrician of record as long as we're living here.

Installed new canned lighting no mess with drilling in ceiling drywall. Excellent placement of fixtures,and proper angle on floods used. Made kitchen lighting around counter top where we always had shadows eliminated. Lighting gave kitchen a totally different look. Very professional in his approach to work and we were extremely satisfied with extra effort to make the job right. Came back to install permanent floods with the proper lighting angle which had to be special order. Would definitely use again.

We would absolutely hire them again, no question. I would also be happy to recommend them to our friends and family. The work lasted two days, they came in on a Saturday to finish, and they were clean and quick.

We considered the charge very reasonable and Joe Fragola and his assistant extremely efficient. They also cleaned up any sign that work had been done and, also, when Joe realized they were running over on an earlier appt., he called us twice to inform us when we could expect him. We couldn't ask for better service. (Please note that this report is unsolicited.)

I've used JF Industries on three other occasions. There are many positive things I will say about Joe Fragola, but one thing I really appreciate is that he takes the time to explain and answer my questions. Beyond that, he is a top-notch electrician, respectful, honest, positive, accommodating, and always on time.

It went great, Joe is a true professional. He is very responsive and trustworthy. Everything was done very professionally and up to code. It was very clear in telling us what needed to be done and working around the constraints of the project.

My sister dealt with Mr. Fragola and we were completely satisfied with the results of his work and, also, completely satisfied with his service charge.

Joe promptly responded to our call, and informed us in detail how the transfer switch would work and what was involved. He and his helper worked diligently and the work was performed in a timely manner. It is so great to do business with a company that you can depend upon thoroughly to do excellent work.

The appointment was for 8AM on July 1st. JF Industries workmen rang the doorbell precisely at 8AM. They were shown the jobs requested for the building; went to their truck for parts; began work immediately. They were courteous, efficient, and quick, and did an excellent clean up after their work. They evaluated the safety of a switch in the kitchen, and the cause of an outdoor safety light's frequent burnout. The switch was taken apart and declared to be in good working condition. The outdoor light fixture's location caused a heat build up with the wattage of the incandescent bulbs used. A CFL bulb was installed to reduce the heat generated in the fixture. They presented their invoice, and were paid by check at 11:00 AM.

There is only one word to describe this service... amazing!!! He went above and beyond, he was able to locate at least 3 buried boxes in my ceiling. I would totally use this company again. In fact he is coming back to install a bathroom fan for me. He is one of the few good and trustworthy guys. Worth every penny I spent.

Joe came and did a thorough walk-through of our house and gave a comprehensive bid on the various work that needs to be done and extra stuff that we wanted to be able to plan for. He took plenty of time to discuss all the options and was most helpful in terms of prioritizing the work based on our not limitless budget. He knows his stuff, and is unfailingly courteous. I felt very comfortable having him in my house. As my wife and I were deciding what to do, Joe returned every phone call within 24 hours, always ready to answer any question, no matter how small. It was his attention to detail and his willingness to take the time to be sure that we understood every aspect of the job that convinced us to hire him despite having to pay a bit extra. (FOUR other bids from electricians that we screened through Angie's list were all over the map, from $750 to $3,700 for the service panel upgrade) We signed a contract and gave him a check for half the total cost of the bid and set a date. He was in touch regularly as the date approached because half of the work was going to be weather dependent. He and his assistant Jeremy showed up exactly when they said they would and worked seemingly without a break all that day and the next until every last bit was done and every scrap cleaned-up. The comment that I overheard from the electrical inspector said it all. He came around the corner and took one look at the work Joe (and Jeremy) had done and said, "Well the owner's gotta be happy with that!" The quality of Joe's work was so obvious that the inspector launched into a string of complaints about all the shoddy work he see and how nice it is to see something like what he had in front of him. After the work was done, i was thinking about what I was going to say on my Angie's list report and it occurred to me that Joe is really everything a contractor should be. Anyway, as he was leaving I asked for a few business cards (because two of the neighbor's had requested them) and I noticed the motto that Joe has on the back of his card under the logo. It says, 'JF industries, inc. "The Way a Contractor Should Be." Had to laugh, I look forward to hiring him for phase two and would recommend him to anyone who wants the job done right.

I called JF Industries to give me an estimate to replace the wiring to my garage, which is located on the alley. The owner arrived promptly, and it was clear that he knew exactly what he was doing and had done this sort of job before. He gave me a written estimate on the spot, and then immediately deducted the Angies List discount off the top. Having already received several estimates, I knew that his estimate was reasonable, and I signed his contract right away. He did not request any deposit, and that made me feel very secure. He arrived to do the work with a helper, who dug the trench needed for the new conduit. It was a big, labor-intensive job, but they did not waste any motion, and worked straight through until the job was done. He and his helper were very competent and professional, and I would hire them again.

Joe Fragola, the President of JF Industries, Inc., is an amazing electrician. During our project, he was very detailed and thorough, professional, and friendly, with a reasonable, honest price quote. JF Industries, Inc. was very, very accommodating and patient, adjusting to our electrical needs as we had other basement work done. In addition to our contracted electrical work, Joe personally took the time to go through our house and give us an estimate of all the electrical upgrades we hope to do one day. We also appreciated that he pointed out areas of concern, such as exposed closet light bulbs, that we did not know needed to be addressed.

JF Inductries did the electrical upgrades to my personal residence a few years ago and also the electrical repairs for my neighbors (based on my referral). JF Industries is the only company I would consider calling for electrical repairs/upgrades or referring to family and friends. If every contractor was as thorough, professional, competitively priced, knowledgeable, honest, and responsive as JF Industries...well we would all be living in those "good old days" when contractors were all of those things. I would never consider calling another electrical contractor for any personal project or referring only JF Industries to family, friends or professional colleagues. If only every contractor I work with to maintain my private residence and rental property were as competent and professional as JF Industries...why are you reading this and not calling Joe???????

They arrived on time and worked hard all day. They went the "extra mile" and worked between rainstorms to restore our electrical power within the same day. Came back the next day to finish a few last details. Joe is very friendly and polite and answered all our questions in a professional manner.

Called after hours for estimate on electric work. Jason called back very quickly. Unfortunately, he was not able to perform the work due to a scheduling conflict. I would call him again if we have electrical needs.

The estimate was for an electrical service upgrade for our condominium. We didn?t go forward with him as the project was really expensive. However, he was really great. He gave us a nice, thoughtful, and thorough bid. He was professional and punctual. He was responsive and spent a lot of time figuring out what needed to be done. He gave us the bid in the time frame that we had asked him to. He also gave references for us to call. We will definitely call him again in the future.

They are the most wonderful company in the world. They continue to exceed expectations. They are not inexpensive but you do get what you pay for. They are caring, detail oriented and they are very personable.
