My concern was that in my case replacement would be my only option. Paul was the ONLY contractor who agreed to the restoration of the original wood. He came out to our home only 2 days after initial contact to provide an estimate. He gave us the best price and was honest about what can be done to refinish the floors. Paul is prompt, quick and knowledgeable. I was nervous as to whether the contractor will be able to achieve the desired finish due to the severity of the damage and he sure did deliver. The floors look better than I could ever imagine after years of wear. We were stunned that you are unable to see the transitions, or see any of the nail holes that were stained and unattractive before. Thanks to Paul?s meticulous work we now have smooth, flat, like new floors with subtle variations of color. These floors are now prepared for years of future wear and tear.

Let me begin by saying that the new floor has given our home a new life. It was a rather large project as there was a 2,500 sq ft area to cover. The company offered a fair price and the owner Paul displayed a great deal of knowledge about flooring products as well as installation techniques. Upon consultation we were provided with honest information on the product quality differences and recommended reasonable options. We both have picked the Royal Mahogany with the triple coat of water based finish. The final result and high quality of workmanship has exceeded my expectations. Paul stands behind his work and believes in careful planning to deliver the best possible results. Paul explained to us that proper sanding; cleaning and carefully applied varnish will provide the desired look. It has been a year since the completion of the job and my floor still looks like new. There has been no gapping or warping, which in all honesty was my biggest concern. When family and friends come to visit they never fail to comment on the rich color and, amazing grain patterns and the overall beauty of our floors. We are planning to hire Paul again for another project in the near future.

I don't write reviews often; however I believe that this company deserves some praise. I am an extremely precise individual and pay attention to detail. Needless to say, when I have made a decision to install flooring in my condominium I was searching for true professionalism Great Flooring was recommended to my broker who has worked with this vendor in the past. I have done my research and had multiple estimates to choose from. Paul did a good job explaining the differences between oil and water finishes and provided experienced yet honest recommendations. He explained thoroughly as to what results, durability and final effects can be expected from each material considered. Paul also provided a detailed breakdown of the material and with cost. I expected to see a lot of dust, wood all over the floor but to my surprise there was barely any dust. My work schedule is insane so for the job to be completed within a certain time frame was of importance. Considering that the crew consisted of 4 people and the owner monitoring the job process it came to no surprise that the project was completed a day before the estimated due date. The final results has satisfied my high expectations. The floor looks fantastic, no gaps, amazing patterns and a very upscale look.

It was good. He just finished the job and I was very pleased. I put the service off because I was doing other things in my kitchen. He was supposed to come on Friday and I was a little disappointed that they didn’t show on Friday. When I called them, he said that they left a message last night. When I checked my phone log, there were no calls. But then on Monday, his guys came and they did a really nice job. I would recommend them. I admire the job they did. The floors turned out dynamite. The deal was for up to 300 square feet and they did 100 square feet of my floors.

Just had essentially my entire home installed with unfinished wood flooring sanded stained and finished - it is absolutely gorgeous I was very impressed how fest they finished my floors and the price was very for the service we received. We had another quotes but we choose to go with Paul's hardwood flooring company because he knew how to show us a real professionalism . His quote was very clear we knew what are we paying for point by point . They started on time and finished on time moved furniture back and forth. They where also very clean couldn't be more more pleased A+++

This contractor did a nice job on our floor. There was some confusion on the date they were to come out, but that could have been my fault. They were late the morning of the job, but did call us to give us a heads up they would be late. Overall, happy with the job.

Great Hardwood Flooring did a great job on the wood floors in my aprtment. Before giving me an estimate, he presented me with a lot of options and explained each step of the process. I decided to install new Hardwood floors Red Oak and stain them in deep brown color . Paul was alwas easy to reach in case I had any issues. The workers showed up on time and the job was finished in 3 days. The flooring was installed in a timely fashion, and the crew cleaned up after themselves. Their great work ethic and top-notch results will definitely put Great Hardwood Flooring at the top of our list for future renovation projects!

A couple of bamboo floor planks which they installed "popped" up just a few months after the installation.

The service provider was very late in getting back to us seemingly with little interest in this $3,000+ job. We decided against using this service provider based on our first impressions of their professionalism.

My wife and I were both very happy with the results , and with the process. Existing and new floor are matching perfectly. You can't even tell they were installed years a part. Paul was easy to work with and very communicative about the schedule . The crew is prompt , efficient and clean up thoroughly when they leave. The guys were great about being on time . They were moving around some furniture before and after they finished. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for new flooring . Price wise , they were in the middle of the three quotes I got . I felt like overall , the end product and process was well worth the price

After 3 phone contacts and 1 email contact I had no response from him. At that point one, loses interest and wonders what kind of company that is.

A DATE WAS SET ,I CALLED THE DAY BEFORE ,THE WORK WAS DUNE IN LESS THAN A DAY

Horrible! My husband kept checking in and having to tell them things they missed. And then when I came home I noticed the stain on the walls, the boot print and 5 rings stolen! We called Paul who said he asked his workers and they said they did not steal them. Ok like they are going to say ya we did, here they are. 5 of my most important rings! Wedding, engagement, honeymoon ring and a ring picked out and bought from my son for Christmas and my baby ring from my parents. They looked scummy, only talked in polish and kept ughing when my husband kept checking in them and telling them it wasn't right

Paul was the least expensive provider we spoke with and the quality of his work was excellent. He was punctual and responsive to phone calls and texts. He helped us look at several finish options and was able to cover some damage to the wood on the stairs that has been done by the previous owners. We would use Paul again.

We have been unable to use the deal due to the company being unresponsive to our call and communication.

I bought the deal which covered more than the amount of flooring I had. However, part of what I wanted done included 7 stairs. Paul said stairs not covered, I could apply deal to small hall and pay extra for stairs. I agreed. They cancelled first appointment on day before, came a few days later. Floor looked good, but they only did top of stairs, not vertical risers. I emailed. Paul said the deal only included risers, I disagreed. They did come back and did risers. Stairs look fair. I still have not received a bill.

I did not realize that the deal was only to complete 110 sq/ft of flooring. I was not yet ready to complete the whole project with this company without getting more estimates. When the technician came to do the work, he recommended that I get the whole floor done. He said it would look really bad to have one area done but not the whole thing. However, he was very nice and professional. I just didn't think that the deal is very practical.

See above, the contractor missed two consecutive appointments. The second time he did not even call.

They provided a quote for refinishing my hardwood floors. They were responsive and provided a competitive price but ended up deciding to install carpeting instead so they never performed work for me.

I had two hardwood floor landings at the top and bottom of the stairs that had seen better days. They were heavily worn and the wood looked dull and dingy. No matter how much I cleaned and polished it, it still looked bad. Needless to say, when I saw the big deal from Great Hardwood Flooring I was all over it. Pawel and his partner showed up around 9:15AM and got right to work. They finished right around noon. These guys were professional, neat and did a fantastic job. My floors look like they are brand new. They are beautiful!

I bought a deal of 100sqft of wood floor resurfacing for $125. Paul proactively sent me an e-mail asking about when he could do the job. When he came home to measure the work area, he explained really well what I would expect of the procedure. The price for the extra square footage was very reasonable, and although I felt he overcharged for moving a very heavy table out and in of the area to be resurfaced ($80), still the total price was a good deal.. He arrived a little later than expected both times but he completed the work on time. The floor looks amazing and exactly as he described it would look. Although he said upfront that the "dustless sanding" was dustless not dust free, I still got much more dust than I expected. The only complain I have is that I asked him to place a plastic curtain covering the pantry/laundry room door, and he said it was not necessary the pantry door would be closed and dust would not get in there, unfortunately this was not true and I spent a couple of hours dusting the pantry/laundry area, not an enjoyable task. But overall very happy, and would recommend.

We purchased an Angie's List deal for this company to refinish our hardwood floor in our kitchen. The initial appointment had to be rescheduled because they ran late, and they were late to the rescheduled time, BUT............our floors look amazing! Other than the scheduling issues, this company was great. Our floor look fantastic, they did not take a long time to do it, and we barely had to dust afterwards (it's hard to know, though, what was from them and what was just the normal dusting needing to be done). Paul was very easy to speak with, answered a ton of questions prior to coming out, and was committed to doing the job well.
