I was disappointed by the attitude of the service technician. He did not listen, was not able to provide satisfactory answers to my questions, and was patronizing.

They did a good job when they arrived, but my appointment was not scheduled properly. I had to call three times because they never called back. Finally, a supervisor sent someone at 6 PM. Too bad I had to take off half a day of work waiting for someone that showed up at 6 PM. The technician said that he needed to return to complete the job and I've called two times the last two days now and they've not returned my call to schedule the follow up appointment. I can't believe this is the service I get being a Gold Star Customer.

Phone people were courteous. Technician was very polite, did his work, told me to have my chimney cleaned and that the boiler is working fine.

Rich was knowledgeable and professional in giving us an estimate of a two stage furnace and A/C. After calling several times to confirm quote after their inspector came out to diagnose the problem, we decided to go with another vendor who gave us a better quote and was more responsive.

Deljo installed my A/C (and did a WONDERFUL job) and they've done maintenance on it every spring since. They maintain the boiler for my baseboard heat every fall, as well. It's all running great.

Top-of-the-line product. Very happy with it....huge energy savings. Pricey. Great product, fine service with some ups-and-downs. Would use again.

I contacted several heating/cooling companies, (the one that had installed a new boiler the previous year). No one wanted to tackle this job and the people @ the one that did the work the previous year were very rude. Bob came to my house, provided an estimate and timing. His crew came on time and did a nice job, cleaned up afterwards. I did have some problems connecting with Bob during the second phase of the job but someone else contacted me, and I wound up dealing with her for the remainder of the job. Overall I recommend Deljo, nice professional people, who make the effort to get it right.

Was quoted $69 over the phone for service call, then additional for any needed freon recharging. To our surprise, bill was over $200. Was told this was due to hourly rate of $125. No mention of this, when I scheduled the appointment. My understanding was that the $69 covered the service call and diagnostic check of the system. I expected to pay more, if we needed freon, or any actual repair work or parts. After several calls to the office, our charges were reduced to around $150. The technician was on time, pleasant, and very thorough, so I would not tell you to avoid this company, just make sure you are aware of all the charges up front, especially including hourly charges. There was obviously some miscommunication between myself and the office, when I scheduled the appointment.

Used them at our last home for an electronic air cleaner (good price and service), so we decided use, again. They sent a service person, instead of an estimator, who showed up over 3 hours late, and the office kept telling us he had already been here and that they had a $500 bill for the work! After several attempts to resolve, the office said they made notes by mistake on the back of our paperwork for another job. BAD START. A few days later they sent out their estimator, who was nice and thorough, but unable to diagnose the problem. We nonetheless received a $7,000 estimate from them with the suggested resolution. The contractor we ultimately hired (ALL TEMP) diagnosed the problem after thoroughly inspecting the systems and completed all work (including installation of a new compressor) for about $2000 (versus Deljo's $7000 quote for a misdiagnosed resolution) and did it quickly and professionally.

Good experience. Quick response and they were there on time.

Tom, the service man, as well as the company, called the night before to confirm appointment time. Tom arrived 10 minutes early and quickly went to work to determine the problem. He was detailed in his explanation of what was wrong and the possible reasons and the steps he would take to correct the problem. The price was discussed up front and agreed upon. I felt confident that Tom was only performing the work that needed to be done. No pressure was put on me for additional services. Overall, this was a very positive experience.

The workers were on time on both occasions, and I was not charged for the service call on the second visit.

Excellent experience from the time I called to make the appointment to the time the Technician came out and started work. We had a drainage leak around the a-coil that caused water to drip onto the basement floor causing minor flooding. Mold was beginning to grow because of the constant wetness. We had an idea it was a drainage issue, but no one could reset the tray. We were told everything from the a-coil was bad to the entire sheet metal needed replacing. The Deljo tech found a way to re-tilt the drainage pan and stop the leak. He then did a full service on the a/c which improved its efficiency and cooling temp! We know the unit is old and the repair is somewhat temporary, but if we get another 1 or 2 seasons before replacing the unit entirely we are happy! When it comes time to replace the entire system, we will be calling Deljo!

They came out to do an estimate for a new hvac heating and cooling in our soon to be remodeled attic space. They were very professional on the phone and during the visit to our house. The rep spent a lot of time discussing options with us. Now it's about six weeks later, and I never got the estimate. Bizarre. I guess it could be the mail, but I doubt it. I was going to call to check up, but I'd be uncomfortable hiring them so why bother? It never ceases to amaze me that companies can fail to even give an estimate for a $7000 job.

Very prompt, friendly, and informative. We were originally scheduled for a Monday visit, but they had a cancellation on the Thursday before and were able to fit us in. Only complaint was that they were a couple hours late.

Polite, on time, too shoes off, very neat.

There wasn't a problem with the unit, but it was an electrical problem, and they fixed that. There was a communication problem, so they were a little late coming out. The technician who came out was excellent.

They were fine. They showed me some mistakes made by another company.

Their representative, Robert, was on time, polite and worked quickly to resolve my original issue. When asked to perform the service check, he was thorough. He explained each component of his work. The pricing seemed reasonable, especially with the Angie's List coupon. I would not hesitate to recommend DELJO to family/friends.

My air conditioning went out on a very hot weekend, and I knew it was time to replace the furnace as well, so I solicited bids for a whole new HVAC system. Deljo informed me that I did not need to replace the outside AC unit, and I appreciated their honesty. Their bid was right in line with others, although not the cheapest. I loved the sales representative, who was very patient and answered ALL my questions, and he was able to work with my very short time frame for installation. The workmen came out the next morning promptly at 8 AM, and worked until they finished that day. They were polite and professional, and left my home in pristine condition. And the new system they recommended is wonderful. They made the whole experience totally painless.

Overall, it was a very positive experience. The representative arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, explained what had happened, and corrected the problem.

Over the Memorial Day holiday weekend, we had family staying with us from out of town. On the hottest day of the year so far, our air conditioner conked out. We called Deljo Heating and Cooling on Saturday morning to have them come out. It took nearly 5 hours and 2 more calls for anyone to get back to us. The service rep. convinced us to wait until Tuesday for service to avoid the surcharge, even though we were concerned since our son has special needs and it is important to keep his body temperature regulated and comfortable. We were assured that we would hear from their scheduling department early on Tuesday regarding what time they would be out, but no one ever called. I placed three calls to them that morning. Finally, my wife called and was told they would be out "sometime" the next day after she had cancelled his therapies and stayed home on Tuesday per their earlier promise. The scheduler then told me if I didn't like it, that I could just cancel; We did. Unbelievable.

I have used Deljo for the past three years. For the first time, this year they had difficulty scheduling the job and keeping to the time they had scheduled. However, the technician (TOM) made sure he came the same day as originally scheduled. Tom was professional and clearly knew what he was doing. Overall, my experience with Deljo continues to be very positive, and I highly recommend them. The fee noted in the category ''amount paid for work'' is Deljo's annual fee for preferred customers and does not reflect the cost of the visit (which is included in the fee along with a system check in the fall).
