It was terrific. They were on time, clean, respectful, and responsive. They did the work in a timely manner.

Easy to reach, quick appointment (within 24 hours) and very friendly customer service. Knowledgeable salesperson explaining the pros and cons of different heaters and conditioners. Excellent follow-up from them to schedule maintenance / checks. Technicians have also great communication skills. Overall very happy in choosing Deljo as our ongoing heating & cooling company.

Our AC was not cooling the home properly, so I purchased an Angie?s List Big Deal for Deljo to service the unit and replenish one pound of refrigerant for the fixed price of $49.00. I scheduled an appointment and was given a two hour window of arrival for the technician. The gentleman they sent, whose name escapes me, was very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. Since this is a part of our home I knew very little about, he kindly allowed me to follow him to the AC unit and walked me through the inspection explaining the parts of the unit and detailed what to look for as a homeowner. When I had questions he took the time to answer them. Through the inspection we learned that the contactor was in poor shape (I clearly saw that) and that the refrigerant was indeed the extremely low and the cause of the problem we had been having. As promised the coupon covered the majority of the work, but I did have to cover the materials cost of the contactor and the extra refrigerant beyond one pound, bring the total cost of the work to around $150.00, far less than what I would have paid without the coupon. Once the work was completed he took the time to go over the age of the unit and what to expect in the coming years and how the new environmental regulations would affect me down the road. The education I received during this work was priceless, but the pricing without a coupon may discourage me from getting regular service, as it did seem on the high end. Then again you do get what you pay for and I received excellent service.

Our furnace was continually running and would not shut off. Called Deljo and the replaced the circuit board last year. Problem was still not solved. They came back out and informed me the manufacturer now issued a kit instead of just replacement circuit boards. Since I already paid for the circuit board last year, the replaced with the kit for free. Problem solved. Also, they pointed out the reason we were detecting a gas smell was the previous company that installed the furnace did not connect the blower to the flue correctly. They came back out and repaired this as well. The tech, Andrew, was punctual and friendly and provided excellent service and advice

Our house has 4-zones, only two of which had humidifiers on the furnaces, neither of which appeared to be working. Deljo came out to assess and determined that of the two furnaces with humidifiers, one had a cracked heat exchanger and the other even older furnace could not be assessed, other than an obviously broken external flange gasket. The serviceman recommended replacement of the furnaces (both from the 1990s). Deljo had a salesman out that same afternoon. He provided a written estimate was provided with enough detail for us to determine that the prices were fair. Further, Deljo negotiated due to the size of the job. Deljo had servicemen out in less than a week. The men were professional, cordial, prompt and cleaned up very well after the installations. They took the time to make sure I understood how the furnaces and humidifiers worked and did not try to up-sell products. We now have four great furnaces and four humidifiers providing a noticeable improvement in our air quality. Further, we learned that in buying a home, especially an older home, one should have a HVAC inspection performed by a HVAC professional during the purchasing process.

I think they were professional and courteous. The guy who did it, he didn't find anything wrong with the unit. He didn't have to do anything. He just opened up a part of the furnace and then it started working again. He wasn't sure what was wrong with it. It just may have been a fluke. He did find a piece that needed to be replaced. But Deljo Heating & Cleaning went back 7 days after that to get that part.They told me it was a custom piece and that it was 128 bucks. I did some research online and found the same piece for 20 bucks. I don't know why they quote that amount. I was kind of disappointed on that and that's the reason I don't think I would use them again.

We have a three story single family home, with poor heating/cooling on the basement and top floor - our house unfortunately only has one heating/cooling system and one thermostat. We wanted an inspection and recommendations for options to improve the heating and cooling to our bedrooms on the second floor, mainly a nursery. Easy to get an appt, they assessed our system and looked at our vents and return registers. They did a system check and a found a couple quick things (previous owner had shoved an air filter up into the space, which we never saw when changing the filter and it was blocking air flow). They gave us several recommendations and actually did not suggest we pursue the most expensive options - such as getting a second system put in. Once we decide what we want to do, we will definately hire them.

Called Deljo yesterday early evening because furnace stopped working. They quickly scheduled an appointment for the following morning (today). The repair person was on time, professional, and courteous. He quickly diagnosed the issue (overheating) and was able to remedy the problem (opened basement vents to reduce overheating) without any parts or extra service. As a result, I paid only the minimum service charge. I was very pleased that it was a simple issue and fix, and also very pleased with the manner in which Andrew of Deljo handled the service appointment. I would call Deljo again for future issues.

Thorough inspection and did a good job explaining an issue we had an various options to fix depending on price.

When I discovered a problem with the original system I had installed, Deljo made sure they did what was necessary to make it right. I would recommend them highly.

I have called Deljo a couple of times for various small air conditioning issues and they've been very quick to schedule an appointment and are very timely in arrival. The service professionals have always been polite and good about answering any questions I have about what work is being done. They also have a service plan that includes 2 visits a year to service both the furnace and a/c and, as they call to remind you to schedule those appointments, I've found that I have more peace of mind as I don't have to remember to do it myself! Overall, a great service and company.

Deljo came out and determined that our blower motor needed to be replaced. The gave us a quote to replace it and they also gave us the option to just replace the heater with a newer, more efficient model. They did not push us in either direction. After considering the options and evaluating the cost benefits, My husband and I decided to spend the extra money and replace the unit. Deljo did a great job. They got the work done quickly. They were professional. They also helped us by pointing out that People's Energy had a rebate we could apply for after the purchase. Overall they were great.

We plan to use them, but not until February. He came out right away. He seemed very knowledgeable and I felt very confident in him.

Technician arrived on time and performed the service efficiently. He was clean and professional. At the end of the visit he explained the potential for us to have to replace our unit in the near future and made an appointment for a salesperson to come and see us. Regrettably that sales person never showed up and when I called the company to inquire the person I spoke to could not help me but sai someone would call back. They never did.

The gentleman from this company was great. Everything was done properly and quickly.

They were very easy to schedule an appointment to provided an estimate. The estimator was nice and professional. Their quote was reasonable compared to the other three quotes that I received. In the end I decided to go with a different company because of the additional attention to detail that the other company provided when reviewing my house and existing AC/Furnace set up.

The building where I had Deljo replace the gravity furnace has been in my family since my great-grandfather built it in the late 1800's. I grew up in that building. The old octopus serviced the 1st floor apartment. I have no idea how old it was, but I can say with authority that it was, at its youngest, 60 years old. Just looking at it, I suspect it may have started its life as a coal-fed furnace and was converted to gas many years ago. By the look of it, it could very well have dated back to the early 1900's - or maybe my great-grandfather even installed the thing when he built the place. The octopus stopped working and was leaking gas so the gas company shut it down. I consulted Angie's List, found Deljo and placed a service call. Their tech came out the day after Labor Day and declared it officially dead. Needing a new furnace right away for my tenant who lives there now, the Deljo tech arranged to have Frank, their salesperson, come the same day to do a quote on a new system. I met Frank there and immediately found him to be extremely knowledgeable, professional and honorable. He stayed this way throughout the entire process. He carefully assessed the situation and suggested adding additional vents to the living room where none currently existed to provide more heat in what was likely a "cold zone". I did get other quotes - they couldn't hold a candle to what Frank did. Frank sent me the quote a couple of days later and I had sticker shock. I asked him to research alternatives. He did, and he ended up finding an alternative unit that was less expensive AND brought with it a $500 rebate from the gas company, vs. the $300 rebate on the unit he originally quoted. I accepted the quote less than a week ago and as of today, the job is done. Per Frank's instruction, before the job was done I had to contract an asbestos abatement company to remove the antique octopus furnace and all related asbestos-taped ductwork before the Deljo crew would even touch the job. That happened on Monday, and Deljo's two-man crew followed to begin the new ductwork runs and furnace install on Tuesday and today. The job was finished at 1PM today. So in a matter of 4 business days from the time I accepted Deljo's proposal, the job was done most professionally and efficiently. And, they offered one-year no-interest financing through Wells Fargo, which I really needed given the cost of the job. The Deljo team made a very stressful situation much less so, because of their knowledge and professionalism. Frank was great every step of the way. He made sound, solid recommendations on a new system, and he met me more than half-way to find less expensive solutions. My tenant - the recipient of the new furnace - could not say enough about the crew who did all the work the last two days. She said they were very knowledgeable, professional and respectful of the property and of her space. She said they worked diligently, non-stop and very quietly. She was very pleased. They also gave her insightful guidance on the use of the new furnace and the new stat they installed. By ironic coincidence, now the heat in my own 2-flat is out. After the last two cool nights, the radiators should have kicked in but they were cold the last two mornings. Heretofore we have used another company for the routine checks on our boiler. But I have been so pleased with what Deljo has done for me, I called today to arrange to have our boiler checked. Deljo did a great job - I cannot thank them enough. They were very professional, efficient and accommodating. I am a happy customer!

The estimates were given after multiple calls and corrections. On the main issue which was the difference in cooling, the service person Andrew says that "the water provided by building on the North Side is warmer than the water provided on the south side. Possibly issue with building's supply temp". We believed it and paid the amount asked for (normal price of $114 was discounted to $64 as I had printed out a discount coupon). After the technician left,t he building engineer happened to stop by the condo and we asked him why the thermostat on the north side was showing a higher temp - he promptly looked and said that the valve for cold water supply was turned off as it looked like there was a leak in the coil. This was quite shocking - the technician from Deljo had missed out a clear and simple detail and instead pointed the finger at the building water temp. This was quite disappointing to begin with. I decided at that point that if the person doesn't even observe a turned off valve, I didn't want to go with them. But I still needed to know the cost of replacing the leaking coil. My friend had taken pictures of the coil so I thought I would call the office and just get a verbal estimate. The person who attended the call told me that since its a part I need, they would get the parts sales person Carlos to call me the next day. Carlos calls and even though I was out of town, I located the photos and sent it to him. He promised to call in 5 mins but when I didn't hear from him in 30 minutes I called back only to be told that he had left for the day. What kind of service is this that you promise to call back right away and then leave for the weekend? The customer service lady tried to get me some info but couldn't and promised to get Carlos to call me back on Monday. That was 4 days back - I am yet to hear from Carlos. Looks like Deljo has a pattern of poor customer service even at an estimate stage - I shudder to think what would happen if I were to work with them. Maybe my coil replacement wasn't meaty enough of an order for them so they ignored me; all they had to do was call and let me know they could not do it. Extremely disappointing; I want to make sure none of my friends ever use them. I went with Angie's review of this company and I will now quite careful of other highly rated Angie's Listers.

They've been out 5 times and have not charged me for 2 of the service calls. They've been very proactive and good about troubleshooting for solutions short of installing a new system. They've been very responsive every time I call.

Alberto was prompt and efficient as usual. He arrived at the schedculed time and got right to work. I have used Deljo for a number of years now and they always do a great job.

This was a terrible experience. The leaks are in the kids bedrooms and Master bedroom. So if this doesn't get evaluated we'll need to leave the house. They didn't convey any sense of urgency. We had a Carbon Monoxide Emergency and I called to have someone come out to investigate the issue. I was told that nobody could come out until late the next day. Obviously, I need someone today. I said that and said goodbye and the lady over the phone was very "whatever" with her "goodbye".
