Dariusz replied promptly to all my emails regarding scheduling and pricing. He was the only one who would do the repair without replacing strips of wood. There was a minimum charge for any service work of $250. We were advised that the aging of the wood and varnish would mean a color variation between the original flooring and the repaired area, which we knew already. The repair specialist was on time and got to work right away. I had prepared the area with sheets to cover the furniture. He had drop cloths with him to cover some additional areas and flooring. He was very friendly and efficient. He did the repair up to the waiting period and had to go to another repair job. Before finishing his work, he was on the phone with Dariusz who came over. They discussed the job and he left. Dariusz talked for a while giving us information about the proper protection pads to use on the furniture and where to get them then left to get coffee, asking if I wanted any, which I didn't. When he returned shortly, he brought me pastries from the local pastry shop! At that point it was time to do the final finishing. I couldn't believe how great it looked! You really have to be looking to see the spot, especially if the sun isn't shining directly on it. Our other house has old floors and we discussed what that would entail to refinish them prior to selling when we retire. We will definitely be hiring Dariusz!

Derek was fantastic! He spent a lot of time explaining what he could and could not do and made sure he had a full understanding of the job. In fact, my painter who was also there commented on his professionalism and knowledge. He actually did some extras, which was a pleasant surprise. Though I got another quote that cost less, I felt more comfortable with Derek and the quality of the work he was going to perform.

After getting quotes from 8 different installers (some came and took measurements, some gave quotes over the phone), I decided to go with Dariusz. He was the most knowledgeable and also gave me the best quote. He was also willing to work within my time frame (I had to have new floors installed and find a new tenant by the end of the month). From the start, he impressed me with his attentiveness and experience, especially in dealing with a high-rise, where having to meet building requirements and paperwork can pose challenges and delays. From beginning to end the job went smoothly. If I ever had a problem or concern I would email or call his cell phone and he would respond immediately. While he was in the unit installing the floor, he even took time to show the apartment to a prospective tenant and helped her take some measurements. He later gave me his input about the prospective tenant. As a result, I got an awesome tenant and some beautiful floors. Dariusz is very personable and professional and will go the extra mile to make his clients happy. He is a real pleasure to work with.

Great job. Dariusz and his crew were polite, helpful, professional, and the floors look great. Old floors look like new, matching new floors very well. The job took a little over a week, and cost more than original estimate due to unexpected condition of subfloor. Everyone showed up on time, and cleaned up when they were done. They were very responsive to all my inquiries and requests.

The project turned out to be much bigger than anticipated since the floor underneath the carpet had significant repair work to be done as well as sub floor repair. However, it was worth the effort and the result hardwood floor looks great.

I contacted the company on a Monday, the estimate was done by Tuesday and the work was completed on Friday! Because of their excellent job of sealing off the room, there was very little dust or mess. The odors were minimal as well. We were able to move furniture back into the room on the weekend.

We were able to schedule the work within a week of calling. At first I didn't really like the idea of conducting the communication by email, which is what they prefer. But Dariusz was immediately responsive to all correspondence, and it worked out very well. He also checked in regularly throughout the project, and followed up in the weeks after the work was completed, to make sure we were happy with the outcome. Oleg and Vince were great-polite and professional. They worked quickly yet carefully. The result is beautiful. The old floors turned out better than I could have hoped for, and everything about the experience was positive. I highly recommend this company.

Company responded quickly with an e-mail that they were not suited to do work. Not sure why not nor did I receive a phone call to discuss.

I contacted Chicagoland Flooring for an estimate for an extensive amount of hardwood flooring work in my home and stated as such on their voice mail message and Marek returned my call literally within minutes and he immediately asked me whether or not I was buying or selling and I asked him what relevance that has on the work to be done and he replied that if I just bought a property versus selling one, I would be spending more because I would be there for the long haul..... I told him it should not make a difference whether I am selling or just bought a property my objective is the same, which is good quality work at a fair price and he responded by saying he didn't think he could do business with me and insisted again that he know whether or not I am selling my property or just bought a property because that would determine if he would be interested in doing the job. And this is an Angie's List award winning company!

This company was extremely pleasant to deal with and professional from start to finish. The owner Dariusz responded quickly and communicated by email (which is a big plus) with general information about the costs and process. When he came he was about 15 minutes late, but he actually called to apologize and brought a chocolate pastry as a consolation! The workers were likewise pleasant and professional and the job was done exactly when it was scheduled, despite the fact that they had little notice and we had a tight deadline before we had to move furniture in the house. The owner promised to leave some floor cleaning solution at the end of the job, which he never did and I didn't think much of it, but a few weeks later he made a trip back just to drop it off. All in all the floors look beautiful and it was a great experience.

Would not give me an estimate because I did not hire him in 2005 when I got estimates on a much bigger job.

I contacted Derrick at Chicago land flooring with this problem and he made an appointment to come to view and estimate the problem. He was late for the appointment, but called me to let me know where he was and when he could be expected to arrive, so this was not a problem. He arrived with a large European chocolate bar in apology for his lateness (quite good!). First he attempted to remove the marks with cleaner. This didn't work. Then we discussed my options. He left me with some suggestions to try on my own to see if it was possible to repair this problem without redoing the entire floor (the only other alternative). His suggestions worked and I avoided a very large bill. I am thrilled. Although it took some work on my part, it was worth it for the money saved. I appreciated the advice and the fact that Derrick didn't just sell me a service. He attempted to help me solve the problem in the most cost effective way. This is a very honest company. I can't imagine a better outcome.

The project went so smoothly. They finished in the time they promised, Darius was always patient and kind and even tried to talk me out of the dark, dark floors I wanted to order as he feared I would be disappointed. I knew what I wanted so we stuck to the original choice but I appreciated that he cared so much. They were courteous and clean. We had a couple of issues, one that the building engineer complained that the flooring guys made a big mess they didn't clean up. When I told Darius this he took his number and straightened everything out. Then the baseboards weren't quite as finished as I thought they would be and he came back out and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the end result. There is no question that we would use them again. They were fantastic!

Great. They came out quickly, did the work quickly and were within quote. Followed up to make sure I was happy. I've used them before and will continue to do so. Great price too.

I have called them to arrange for an appointment to get an estimate on polishing hardwood floors in 3 bedrooms, the person who answered said to send an email with details. After I sent the email, I got back a questionnaire which I filled in and sent back. It's been 2 weeks since then and never heard from them.

It was a pleasure working with his company. They were responsive both by email and phone, quickly arranged to come over to give us an estimate, and did the work promptly and competently. Dariusz was realistic about the job and seemed very knowledgeable.

They came out promptly to estimate the job. They were willing to repair and refinish the existing floor, where another company only wanted to install a new one. They did a fine job on both repairing and refinishing.

Job 1: Dariusz and team arrived on time finished in the time frame that he estimated, and the finished product is beautiful. It's like a brand new floor! Job 2: We had used them before to refinish the original floors in the main part of our house and they did an excellent job. When it came time to remodel the kitchen, we ripped up five layers of linoleum to get to the original maple floor. It looked absolutely beyond repair, just horrendous. I was skeptical that anything could be salvaged. But after having Dariusz look at it, within 48 hours we had a beautiful floor. Everyone who visits thinks the floor is brand new when they see it, not 86 years old.

Overall it went well and we are very pleased with the results. The work took two days longer than expected, because of the linoleum removal and the new installation. We had a good consultation and service from the owner Dariuz, who prepared us and gave us heads up and options beforehand. His workmen were courteous and did high quality work.

Chicagoland Flooring was extremely helpful over the phone, providing a prompt estimate for service. Unlike another company I contacted, they did not try to talk me into additional work. In addition, their quote was competitive with other companies I called. They were able to schedule the job the following week and showed up on time, completing the work as described. They offered advice for maintenance and even followed up with an email offering further advice, if needed. After a week and a half, the floor continues to look great.

I would hire Dariusz again in an instant with no hesitation. He is extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. We could not move all our furniture out, so he helped us find the best way to divide the job to make it in two phases (all the furniture in one area while the other is re-finished and then the other way around) without leaving any marks showing the joint between the two areas. Dariusz also helped us select the best color for our finished floor (natural in our case, no stain), even when the selected option meant less business for him. Dariusz' team replaced several wood pieces that would have not looked good with the normal refinishing process. They filled some gaps that existed between different pieces of wood. I felt comfortable leaving them work at home by themselves and they kept the key for the time that the job took. I did not have any problem. The job was done on time, within budget and most important: the final result is astonishing! I highly recommend it.

My husband and I did not have a good experience with this company. My husband initially called and was quickly dismissed, being told that they weren't sure this job was big enough for them?? We were asking for THREE entire bedrooms to have hardwood flooring installed-hardly a small job in our opinion. I called the company back to see if I could get anywhere. This time spoke with Dariusz who seemed willing to work with us. After giving all the information to him over the phone (room sizes, work details, etc.), he asked me to email him the details so he'd have in writing. I was confused by the necessity of this, but did as he asked. Remarkably, I received a reply from him asking me to fill out a form WITH ALL THE SAME INFO I'D NOW GIVEN HIM TWICE ALREADY. Again, we did it and then...never received a response. Horribly unprofessional conduct in our opinion. Also, despite my persistent requests, Dariusz refused to come out in person to see our condo and give the estimate. Red flag!!!
