They notify you when it is time and you book way in advance. They notify again the week before they are scheduled to come out. I did not have to be there to have the work done. They do very good work.

It went exceptionally well. Mr. Alt's team was professional and efficient, and did a wonderful job. My deck, which had never been sealed in nearly 10 years of existence, is like new after the thorough wash and seal applied by the team. The only con was scheduling. That was more due to my anxiety than anything on Mr. Alt's end, though phone calls would work better than text messages.

We are extremely pleased with the quality and service we received. The nature of their work and scheduling depends on the weather and Ryan is very upfront about that from the start. They fit our job in right on schedule to when they predicted. They came out to power wash on a Thursday and were going to stain/seal on Friday, but due to bad weather had to come back on Monday. The crew was here first thing Monday morning, they protected the flagstone that was under our pergola and were very careful around our plants next to the fence. The previous stain job on our deck was done very poorly, but the new stain looks wonderful - no drips or smears - a nice smooth coat. The crew was very pleasant and courteous and they cleaned up perfectly. We appreciated Ryan's communication throughout the process to let us know where things stood. We highly recommend them and will have them back when it's time.

They were excellent. All of my dealings were with the president of the company. He contacted me on a regular basis about their scheduling and about my position within the scheduling. I was very pleased with all the work they did for me and I have only the highest regard for their work. They will be on the top of my list of recommendations.

Nothing specific stood out about them. The price was fine and they were very responsive.

They did a great job. I received a phone call about 2 weeks in advance to let me know they were coming. The owner, Bill, made the call. Then Bill called again the day before they were coming. The team of 4 people showed up early in the morning as promised to power wash the deck. That evening, Bill called again to let me know they would be back on Thursday morning to stain the deck (they power washed it on Tuesday). A team of 5 showed up early Thursday morning and completed the job in about 3 hours. This is a first-class operation but you have to be prepared to wait your turn. They are very busy because they do such a high-quality job and they are at the mercy of the weather (a lot of rain during the first half of the summer resulted in unavoidable delays). I called in February 2015 to get an estimate. I got my estimate within a few days and they estimated they would be able to stain my deck in July, weather permitting. Due to the very wet summer, they weren't able to work on the deck until early September. I recommend them without hesitation and will continue to use them every few years for maintenance.

Just felt the owner is rude. When they stained our deck they broke a light fixture and bulb on one fixture and an edison bulb on another and didn't say anything, I had to go back to them and ask for a remedy. One year later we have to restain already so just wasn't happy.

They were excellent. He kept in communication because I booked them last fall, but he did tell me that because of the weather they were running behind and he probably wouldn't get to us till this spring and he kept in contact via email as well as phone calls. They were prompt. They did good work and very professional. You could tell they were experienced and they covered our patio with strap clothes. They were very neat window work. They did everything that they said they would do. I would absolutely use them again.

We did find somebody for deck maintenance and actually we ended up using a company that we used previously. I am happy with them. Their price is competitive. I think they were called ChicagoLand Deck. We chose to use him because we have used them in the past and the price is competitive. We were shopping to see if we were getting ripped off or not and we were satisfied with the service. When they performed the job we know that they were on time. They did the job when they said they were going to do it and completed it when they said it was going to be completed. It was performed to our satisfaction. We do it every 3 years. They were the most competitive. The punctuality is definitely an 'A'. I definitely will continue to use them if need be.

While their success has caused them to reduce their coverage area to not include Glenview, the owner took the time out to call me and talk through my problem. He provided some valuable advice and was very helpful. I can see why they are rated so highly.

I was entering my first spring as a new homeowner and knew the decks/stairs were in terrible shape. Bill and his team worked some magic to get the decks and stairs cleaned and stained in record time, just before my daughters wedding shower! The outcome was amazing as they were in such desperate need of care! They look brand new. Bill's team was professional and pleasant an found a way to get this done within a limited window time. This was the first time I used Angie's list to find a service provider. Chicagoland Deck & Cleaning did an outstanding job on my deck. I was very impressed with everyone I delt with from the company: the owner and office staff, the person who came to give me a free estimate, and especially the crew who cleaned and sealed my deck. Everyone was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I can't say enough good things about the great service I received and, most importantly, my deck looks great. I highly recommend Chicagoland Deck and Cleaning and will be using them again for any future needs.

This is an excellent and well-run outfit - and you can't beat their prices! They delivered everything they promised and were outstanding as far as communication as to when and how the job would be done. I had to schedule them around vacation and times when I needed the deck for house guests, and they couldn't have been more accommodating, although I'm sure it was a pain for them!

Chicagoland was as accomodating as they could be in scheduling, given the busy time of year. Their work was professional and appropriate to the work quoted and my expectations. I will be contacting them next Spring/summer to again clean and treat my deck!

Courteous phone conversation; prompt delivery of estimate. We did not choose to use them since cost was twice that of another provider.

We had to wait about 21/2 months for the service, but that was stated up front by the owner. Bill kept in touch during the wait. We were extremely pleased with the results.

The workmen were thorough, professional, and very clean. The pooches look great. We will definitely use them again as well as recommend them to others.

They blasted the deck to clean it then refinished it.They were backed up and weren't able to do the work for about 6 weeks, but kept me in the know about when they would schedule the work. The deck looks terrific and the sealant they used makes the wood look new. Plus the price was very fair.

It went very well. They are very professional and walk you through what they're going to do. They keep pictures on file of the set up so I call they know what I'm talking about when I call for future quotes so they can customize the service for your specific need.

The work was fantastic, excellent on all fronts. They brought out a large crew and got the work done fast.

We won't use them because of the price. My husband is a DIYfer. He replaced all the cedar, but things are busy and I looked into having someone else do a light power wash (it's new, afterall) and sealant before the end of the season. Chicagoland decking came in with a price (including 2nd coat) of about 70% of what it cost my husband to replace the whole deck -- and it's a simple flat deck with just a few stairs!! Wow! I didn't find many similar companies on Angies List, so I suspect it's a supply/demand thing.

This is a well run owner operated business with a very responsive husband/wife team who are clear with their estimates and time frames and whose team did a very good job. They are quite backlogged and have to deal with weather issues as well, but give you a rough initial time frame and then keep you informed as the time nears. From our estimate until the work was done, it took almost four months, but we were told that initially, and they kept true to their word. The crew was efficient and neat and I am very happy with the results. They gave us two estimates for top of deck and top with undersides. They also provided samples prior to the job for us to choose the final stain.

It went very well. We actually arranged for the service in June, but they warned me that it might be the end of the summer before they could get to it. That actually worked very well for me. They kept me up to date on where I was on the list, and when they got to me in September they completed the job (including moving the deck furniture around) in two days. It looks really good. There are a few places where they could could not completely conceal some drips from a previous amateur job, but they had told be about those in advance. Hurrah! Expertise AND honesty. I definitely intend to use them again.
