I couldn't be more pleased with what I received. I have an old 2 story home that didn't have air and I had been told by others it wouldn't be very good. Steve talked to me about the zone system he installs and said that I wouldn't pay anything until I was happy. It took two days to install and even though they found a problem with my existing duct work they just fixed the problem. Steve explained how to run the zone system and left that day not ever asking for payment. Steve called me the next day to see if things were going alright. I couldn't be more happy with what I received and the cost was great. You can bet he got paid. I would recomend them to anyone (and I already have)!

Needed a new HVAC company and found on Angies. Called and receptionist took message. Got a call back same day from Mike to set up appt. in a couple weeks as not an emergency. Scheduled between 1-5PM and got here after 4PM. Very quick check on freon and clean. Recommended different, cheaper filters to change monthly to save on drag on system.

I made a few calls before I found Home Comfort, who promised to come out the same day. I called about 9 a.m. and spoke to a very nice woman who said Mike would call me back. Within 5 minutes, he called! After suggesting I try a few things while we were on the phone (that did not work), he said it was probably earwigs and that he would be here between now and 10 pm. I settled in with fans and a dehumidifier and prepared for a long wait but was thrilled when he called again and came by before noon!! Very nice guy, he showed me everything he was doing and had me up and running in 10 minutes. Excellent service!!

They were on time, did a great job and finished on time and budget.

My overall experience was excellent.

Steve came to estimate the job and suggested the zoning system as well as a new A/C - which my husband and I had not known was a possibility. The workers were here a day and a half to do the work and then Steve came by to show us how to operate the system. So far, we love it! For the first time we can cool our upstairs bedroom to a temperature that we can sleep comfortably at without overcooling the entire house. Wonderful! I think (will be able to tell after a year) that it will also save us a lot of money in addition to keeping us comfortable.

Steve came to our house and, after a very complete inspection, gave us an estimate. We requested that he come at 10:00 A.M and he was actually a little early. Steve asked a number of questions and made several suggestions. He told us that he was the owner of the company and would be there for at least the beginning and the end of the project, to make sure that everything was done right. In fact, he worked at our house most of the day, when the furnace was installed. Steve explained that the installation was fairly routine, but that there were several options for the intake and exhaust lines. After asking what we wanted to do, and why, he came up with another option, which was even better for us. They arrived to install the furnace exactly on time, worked with minimum intrusion, and completed the job in one day, as promised. There cleanup was better than any contractor that I have ever worked with.

We called Home Comfort Systems at 6 PM and were pleasantly surprised to have a live person answer. They told us someone would get back to us immediately. They were not kidding, we received a call within minutes. Michael (co-owner) explained that he had some prior obligations (service calls), but would get to us as soon as he could. Michael arrived when he said he would, explained our options and what they would cost. Michael was very friendly and a joy to work with. We are very satisfied and will be using their services again.

home comfort systems put in the furnace and ac back in january the system work well but i have a two story house and i was get uneven heat on the second floor . steve told me about the zoning system back in january but i did not believe in the system so i had to do some research.i learned a lot about zoning systems. so i decided to let home comfort put in the zoning. i am very pleased with the zoning it does every thing its designed to do. i wish i would have put it in back in january when i first put in the furnace and ac.steve was honest with me when he told me that it would work. it is hard to find a company like this one.

I had a good experience working with Home Comfort Systems. They were punctual and they took the time to clean up after themselves. I would definitely use them again in the future.

My husband called and happened to get the technician between service calls and he came over immediately. He showed my husband how to clean the filter on the condensor outside the house. He discovered that the freon was very low which was causing our problem. Their price for freon was very reasonable at $25 per pound. He also explained that the pleated filters are not the best for our unit, we should use the cheap ones. The technician was very informative and professional. We will definitely use Home Comfort again.

Outstanding service! Was very responsive to my request for proposal and installed the units two days later. After the units were installed one did not work. Steve came out and found the problem to be in the furnace unit connected to the A/C. He discovered a wire leading to the thermostat that had rubbed away the insulation and was shorting out. This was probably the reason the old A/C unit failed in the first place. The wire was repaired but then the furnace blower would not cycle on its own. Steve was very firm in his promise of installing the new units for the quoted price - even after discovering the problem in the furnace unit. As he was unsure if a new blower or capacitor was needed, he came back the next day with replacements for both and refused my offer to pay for the extra work and parts. Happily a new capacitor did the job.

Steve is an absolute Superman. He fought off fire ants to check the old unit to see if there was any way he could get us some air as we had 4 days of 90 plus heat with no air. He was here on time for the estimate and did not try to oversell. The unit was delivered the following day and installed by 6 A.M the day after. We can not say enough about this company. Use them and you will be satisfied.

Michael was very thorough and informed about the work. While the outside air conditioning unit was being evaluated he and I discussed the thermostat that had been having some trouble. I chose a replacement part at $60. This was entirely my decision, not forced. In fact I was told the other was still functioning okay but I chose to replace it as long as they were there. Also spent some time in the basement discussing the types of filters make the unit run most efficiently and ways to avoid problems with freezing.

Steve (one of the owners) visited me and spent plenty of time going over our options, from least expensive to most expensive. He also explained how we could add a zoning system to even out the warm/cold air in our house. We choose to go with a new ac unit only and save the furnace for later. We also decided to spend an extra $500 to have the unit installed in a new location on the side of the house. Steve and his installation associate arrived bright and early. They took care to prevent dirt and mud from getting in my house by laying down cloth on the floors. They cleaned up all mess in the basement. During the move to the new location on the side of the house, two large bushes had to be removed which they did without any extra cost. Our experience was phenomenal and we will use Home Comfort Systems in the future when we decide to replace our furnace and someday install the zone comfort system.

They are very good, friendly and very attentive to details. There are two people in the company. One guy installs the stuff and the other guy maintains it. Their price is very good. They will come right away if I needed them.

This was the first company I used from Angie's List. After calling just a name from a yellow pages to get someone out to fix my furnace-and waiting all day and having a no-show and no-call. I decided if I couldn't get a personal referral, I would do the next best thing and join Angie's List. I searched heating and A/C-read reviews and decided to go with Home Comfort Systems. I called them last night, and received a call back right away from Mike. He informed me he would come out that evening if needed however there would be a $50 extra charge for after hours. We have a wood burning stove so we were OK for the night. Mike told me he would be out the next day. He called me approx 20 mins before his arrival. I was happy with their work-I was happy with the price and I was more than happy he was able to fix my old furnace and I'm not looking at a replacement just yet. When I am in the market for a replacement system-I will definitely call Home Comfort Systems.

We were told in October by our furnace service company that cracks in our 23 year old heat exchanger put our old furnace at risk of carbon monoxide leakage. I found good recommendations for Home Comfort Systems on Angie's List. When I called for an estimate the office immediately contacted Steve, who returned my call within the hour. This was on a Saturday, he came on Sunday to discuss our needs with my husband and myself. He spent a couple of hours looking over our system and discussing our options. He was very thorough and very professional. Another company had suggested that we could bypass the installation of a chimney liner (usually required for high efficiency furnaces). Steve explained very convincingly why we might want to install the liner, but did not try to bad-mouth the other company. He seemed to have a good command of the technical issues, in other words, was not just a salesman. My husband, being an engineer, was impressed with this aspect of his proposal. When we described our many years of uneven heating and cooling in our 3-story home, he recommended the Honeywell zoning system, which was not something that we had originally considered. His offer, I'll install it. You don't have to pay me for it for 30 days. If you're not satisfied, I'll remove it. Hard to beat that. He also offered us a discount on both the furnace and the zoning system if we were willing to do the installation over the Christmas/New Year's holiday period. He and his workers showed up promptly, as scheduled, completed the work in a timely fashion and completely cleaned up after themselves. The zoning system turned out to be more complex than anticipated, requiring significant extra duct work to accommodate the space limitations of our dropped ceiling in the basement. Although these accommodations probably added 6-8 hours of work for Steve, at no time did he suggest that there should be extra charges, nor did he alter his guarantee that he would remove it if we weren't satisfied. In the first few days after installation I was having some difficulty maintaining the desired temperature in the house. (This was during our sub-zero January period.) Steve came back immediately after my call, made an adjustment to the electronic settings that had been recommended by Honeywell and fixed the problem. We are delighted with the zoning system. For the first time in 23 years we have a basement that is inhabitable without 3 extra layers of clothing! We are able to program 4 zones in our home to reflect time-specific needs and are looking forward to having this control during the summer months, when our upstairs bedrooms have typically been very difficult to cool without freezing out the rest of the house. Steve was a pleasure to work with, as were his helpers and I would recommend him highly.

Got a quote on a Saturday night. They came out the day we discussed at the time they said and explained everything to uw.

On July 18, 2008 we started having problems with our air conditioner. The first company we called out said the refrigerant was low and recommended a new air conditioner. We chose to just refill the refrigerant. Unfortunately, 2 weeks later the a/c was still not functioning properly. Anticipating we would likely need a new air conditioner (based on its age and the initial service call), we decided to get two more estimates. Being new members of Angie s List we decided we d give it a try. The second company came out and also recommended a new air conditioner. Our third call was to Home Comfort Systems. Steve squeezed us into his schedule the next day, arriving after dinner. After doing his inspection, Steve told us he thought the problem was most likely due to a bad blower motor. However he said it might also be related to another part in the furnace which, if faulty, would warrant considering replacement of both the ac and furnace. What he does next earns him our A+ rating. He tells us he will replace the blower motor and see if that fixes the problem. He says since you don t know me from Adam you don t need to pay me anything now . He tells us to see how things work and if everything s ok in two weeks we can send him a check. If not, he says he ll come back and take out the new blower motor at no cost to us and give us a bid on replacing both the ac and furnace. Fortunately, we had no further problems with the ac the rest of the summer and happily paid the $300 charge for the new blower motor. He came over and was very helpful in telling me what we needed. They didn't leave a mess in my home and cleaned after they were done. They got the job done in time and on budget.

This project couldn't have gone better. Steve and his crew did a fantastic job. Steve has been amazingly responsive and patient with all my questions. We moved into a 4BR house that had one furnace serving the basement and two other floors. The thermostat was on the 1st floor, so when it was 71 on that floor it was about 77 upstairs and 67 in the basement. We wanted a zoned system so that temperatures in the house would be even. Also, both the furnace and hot water heater were in the middle of the basement and we wanted the new units installed against the side of the house in order to free up space in the basement. The existing duct work was a maze and required a lot of new connection and reconnection to set up the zoning system. They did an absolutely amazing job getting it set up. The whole house now is comfortable and has even temperatures. I wasn't sure we'd be able to get the results we wanted given the duct setup of the existing system, but Steve assured me we could and he delivered beyond my expectations. My experience with Home Comfort Systems has been terrific. They really placed importance on good communication and service, doing the job right and as promised.

Very smooth. Steve's visit to give us product and installation options was thorough but low-pressure. The work was scheduled for the same week, and went as promised with very little disruption to us. They cleaned up very well. On a job this size there will always be a punch list, but Steve personally responded to it within 24 hours. He expected $0 in payment until we were 100% satisfied.

This was the first time I had used their services. The owner came to my home to give us an estimate and was very thorough. He did not try to sell us things we did not need and he also supervised the installation. We are really happy with their services.

I could not say enough positives about home comfort systems. I purchased a home and noticed that during the heat spell my A/C would not turn on whatsoever. I called Mike who called me back right away. They are extremely busy but he arrived at the time scheduled. He diagnosed the problem and repaired everything properly and as quoted. Their rates are very reasonable and Mike strikes you as a man of integrity which is refreshing. Kudos to HCS.
