Great company! I agree with so many of the other postings: professional, courteous, prompt, with a knowledgeable owner and crew. I especially liked that Steve (owner) came out not only to give the estimate but also showed up with the crew for the installation. No complaints, nothing but praise! Highly recommended; deserving of the Super Service Award!

They were prompt, efficient, professional and I will use their services again. They did a water softener install in my basement and we're able to install the brine tank in the garage for ease of reloading the brine. They also did an emergency AC recharge in extremely hot weather when my original system developed a small leak. It had happened before and I had to spend an outrageous amount of money with a larger service provider.

The first appointment that I had with Steve did not go as planned; he called to tell me that he needed to reschedule due to an emergency furnace installation. I completely understood and thought "Gee, this is the kind of guy that I want to do business with, he puts emergencies ahead of an opportunity to sell a new HVAC system." So, I reschedule the appointment with Steve. He arrived on-time for the appointment and carefully walked me through the different options that I had. Because of the Nicor/ComEd rebate it was a no-brainer to spend the extra money on a high-efficiency system that qualified for the rebate. I received two additional quotes; one from another American-Standard dealer who quoted the same HVAC system; his price was $200 less, but he did not include a 10-year parts AND labor warranty that Home Comfort Systems included. The second quote was from a local Carrier dealer who quoted $1500 more for a system that was not the equal to American-Standard system. One the day of the installation, Steve accompanied the two installers to get them started on the project. The work was performed in a neat and professional manner. The new furnace is VERY quiet; other than the sound of the blower we don't hear it operate (unlike are 20+ year old York that sounded like it was going to rattle apart at any moment). We've only used the air conditioner once and it too is extremely quiet (so quiet that we didn't think it had started when we turned it on). The "Approximate cost of service" does not include the $900 Nicor/ComEd rebate.

It went well. They were polite and prompt. They were efficient and knew exactly what to do. What I thought might be a big problem was actually a quick fix. Being new to IL and never having dealt with a furnace or a humidifier they gave me info on filters and when to change them. I would defiantly use them again and will be calling them back in the fall to clean my furnace.

The service was wonderful. The owner came out and he presented himself in a very professional manner. We chose to have an estimate based on the reviews and those turned out to be true. His knowledge level enhanced our ability to make an informed decision. He made us feel comfortable with the process and the cost was very competitive. He was very timely and his crew was as well. I have had no issues since the installation was done.

We just moved into the house and one day there was no water coming through the pipes in my sons bathroom. Concerned with pipes bursting and to resolve this problem we called few companies. The approach Steve had in resolving this problem gave us the confidence he and his team would be the best for the job. He and his team were very professional and with accurately diagnosing the problem he rerouted the flow of the heat and it resolved the problem. Frozen pipes became history. I highly recommended him and his company.

This guy and his crew were great. They came over to give us an estimate quickly and installed the next week. The owner was out to supervise the crew who did great work. The owner also gave us some tips on how to use our home furnace more efficiently. They are terrific and we will absolutely use them again.

They were frank on what product and services were most appropriate for my home. The price was very attractive. The installation was schedule for the next business day and was very professional.

Short Answer: Wonderful. Look no further, hire Steve. Long Answer: The addition was a frozen iceberg on the back of our home. During winter, we moved the tv out of that room and closed the door. We have had other providers tell us to get a second furnace, a heated ceiling fan, baseboard electric heat, or a fireplace. Steve from Home Comfort Systems looked at our addition and ductwork and said that we didn't need a second furnace; and that we could use the existing ductwork for zoned heating. After it was installed, he called to check on how the system was doing, and spent an additional day working on it, as we also had problems with ductwork in the basement. Now we can sit in the back room without our winter jackets! Steve and his workers are honest and knowledgable, and I recommend them without reservation.

Very Professional and helpful. Extremely pleased. Via identifying a minor problem, we saved several thousand dollars vs one company's proposed furnace replacement. Also quoted the best replacement price if correcting the minor problem was not the sole underlying cause.

Two young men from the company spent the majority of the scheduled day removing the old equipment and installing the new equipment. It was a hot day, but they did an excellent job. They came at the time agreed with no delays or interruptions. Upon completion of the work, they did an exceptable job of cleaning. Within the first 24 hrs. of installation, I discovered a few items that needed attention. A service call was placed and the technician came by to correct the problems at a convenient time for me. The items needing attention were detail oriented and did not affect the operation of the unit. I was pleased with the overall cost and installation. I would gladly recommend this company.

Steve the owner came after a call was made. Very prompt and professional. Explained everything. I would recommend and have recommend them!

Our furnace had broken down and it was 10-20 degree Fahrenheit that day. We already were researching different furnaces and A/C unit options. We called multiple companies for quotes. When we called, Home Comfort Systems, owner of the company Steve Bilica came home and inspected our furnace. He was very professional and courteous at the same time. Provided all the details and explained all the functions of the furnace. Suggested the best size unit for the size of our home. He provided us with multiple options. We selected one of the option and the installation was scheduled for the next day morning at 8am. Also, he did not take any down payment and payment was expected after the work is done, and if you are happy with the work. Installation worker came exactly on time at 8am Saturday morning. He was very professional and provided all the details on what the work is and how it will be done. He informed us where the ventilation for the furnace will be installed and we were okay with that. It took pretty much whole day to do the work. Once the work was finished, he explained all the rebates that we can take and provided all the detail info on warranties. Work was done very efficiently and effectively, finished both Furnace and A/C installation the same day. Here is the kicker. Next day in the morning, we realized we want to move the ventilation to the different side of our home, as it did not look very aesthetic. I called the owner in the morning and before I could even explain in detail, he agreed completely and informed that is not a problem at all and quickly took the appointment for the next day. They came in, moved the ventilation pipe to the side, we wanted with no additional charge at all. It is hard to find this kind of service in this day and age. I believe, Mr. Bilica still believes in excellent service how it used to be earlier. This company and the people are excellent in their work and still believe in providing total customer satisfaction values. Later on I need to get my Water Heating tank also changed, and I am planning to reuse them again. Actually for any kind of heating/cooling/plumbing issue, I would be calling them from now on. Michael was extremely professional and informative. He went the extra mile and gave me some great advice. He is a genuinely caring and nice person, which is a nice extra! Use this company without hesitation.

Mike was great. Very punctual, fair, and honest. I called Home Comfort Services for an estimate on how much it would cost to fix the Aprilaire humidifier. Mike called me back within 30 minutes to give me a rough idea on what the problem might be with a minimum visit charge of $75. Which was cheapest visit charge out of the other top rated HVAC companies I called. And one of the few that called me back that day. They were booked out for about a week so I booked an appointment for the following Wednesday. Before booking the appointment Mike did ask me if I was sure the humidifier was not working, and I said I checked that no water was coming out after I cranked up the humidifier up all the way. He said if I cranked up the heat up high and checked. I thought he meant if I had the heat on, so I said yes. I later found out that my wife used the same company before to fix our AC unit last summer. She really liked the repair guy and said he was really honest about the AC repair. About 20 minutes before he came, Mike gave me a call and arrived right on time. He was very professional. I showed him the control unit for the humidifier and the furnace. He cranked up the furnace to 78 and turned the humidifier up all the way past 45% humidity. We went downstairs to check the Aprilaire humidifier, and it was pumping out water. He said the furnace has to be running for the humidifier to flow water. Basically, our humidifier has been working this whole time but we keep the heat low so the humidifier was not running that frequently to humidify the house. At that point, I felt pretty stupid for wasting his time. I asked him how much I owed him for coming out, and to my surprise he said nothing. Technically, he said he was suppose to charge me for coming out, but told me to spend that money on a nice gift instead. He was honest and did not try to rip me off for not doing anything. I would use them again in the future and highly recommend Home Comfort Services for any HVAC problem you might have.

Home Comfort systems is a great company. I am so fortunate to have them so close by. On Labor Day our air conditioner died and Home Comfort came out and replaced it. Today, one of the coldest days to date our furnace quit. I called Home Comfort and Mike called me back. He walked me through a few diagnostic steps to find out exactly what was wrong... After following his directions and switching a few things on and off and watching for certain furnace functions, he knew exactly what was wrong. He had a few more calls to take care of but said he would be here ASAP. He was, fixed the problem.. We are now very warm, happy and grateful to Home Comfort Systems! Will never, ever call another company. They are the best!

Since I had not held Home Comfort Systems to a specific time to arrive I received a discount. At approximitly 1230 I received a call from Joe that he would be at my home in about 15 minutes. At 1245 He and Jeff arrived and immediately went to work. I had a couple of questions which Joe aswered to my satisfaction while Jeff continued to work. Within 30 minutes Joe and Jeff were on their way out with a job satisfactorily completed and since I had a coupon from Angie's List the total cost was $65. I will definitely refer them to others and will use them again in the spring for my AC. Home Comfort Systems initally installed my furnance and AC about 2 years ago and their Service back them was remarkable. Great Job guys, thank you.

This is the second time we have used this company and I am again a happy customer. The owner is a wonderful man who works hard to give you a fair price. We decided to put the zoning in to help control the temperature better in our two story house, all while replacing the 22 year old furnace. All the work was on time, done in the same day, and works wonderfully. The staff is very friendly, and tried to stay tidy while working. This is the only company I would use for heating and air.

I extensively reviewed Angie's List in detail of all HVAC contractors within a 10 mile radius as well as asking friends/work colleagues. My search was narrowed to 3 contractors and after reading all reviews, we decided to have Steve at Home Comfort Systems come out and give us a proposal. Being that our furnace-ac units were 21 years old and had a recent repair on the basement furnace, we were prepared that everything needed to be replaced. We even asked for a proposal from another contractor who repaired the basement furnace, but never received the proposal until it was too late. So, in the meantime, Steve Bilica (owner) came over as promised to discuss what he would do and gave us the quote on-the-spot. We thought it was reasonable and fair. Steve spent an hour with us and proposed a 2-stage variable furnace (80%) for the basement and attic and thoroughly explained how they would work. Steve has been in business for 3 decades and you can really tell as he is the "expert"! He explained everything in detail and answered ALL our questions. What we really liked was he stressed that he would not take a deposit and did not want to get paid until we were 100% satisfied with the products' and installation. After he left, we took a few days to think about it and called him back to schedule the installation two weeks later. Steve told us it might take 2 days to install which was fine with us. Steve showed up along with John, Mike, Rich and Dave earlier than expected AND with the whole crew it only took them 4 1/2 hours to complete the project. Wow, all the guys explained certain steps during the process and did not mind me being in the background to watch them. They used tarps on the wood floors and carpet and left everything the way it looked before they arrived. They did not stand around or take any breaks. They had a salvage company pick up the old units in a timely manner. We told Mike we wanted to give the new systems' a few days before paying and they were fine with it. We called Steve to come over a week later to settle-up with him and he even sat down with us to answer additional questions. We are very, very happy with AS units. The online warranty procedure is a piece of cake to complete. Steve offers a great warranty, too. We plan to use their service side of the business in the future. Kudos to Steve, John, Mike, Rich and Dave for a job well done! We would recommend them to everyone.

This company was great to deal with. They were willing and able to deal with difficult access issues in our attic. Our prior contractor was unable to do this.

Simply outstanding! They gave me prompt and straight answers to the questions I submitted using Angies list messaging (their competitors demanded that I call their office for answers). Mike was great - kept us informed, did the work in a highly professional manner, and made the whole experience a little less daunting. It is so refreshing to find a service provider so responsive, trustworthy and professional - my wife and I were both delighted and we don't plan to even consider using any other HVAC service provider in the future.

We've used them before and they provide excellent service. I've nothing but praise for them.

Joe arrived exactly when he said he would, on an extremely hot Sunday and when he had many other jobs to do on broken AC systems! He very quickly located the source of the problem - a broken fan belt on the blower. When I asked if I could help to locate a replacement belt, he said that if I wanted to replace it myself he would not charge me at all for the call, and that if I had problems to call him back to help. He explained how to change the belt, and again offered to come back if I had problems. I located a replacement, and installed it myself with no problems - I had just needed to be shown what to do. That type of customer service and understanding is very rare, and I will definitely use Home Comfort Systems again. Thanks again, Joe.

Arrived on time and replaced the air conditioner. Work took from about 9am to 2pm with no problems what so ever. Professional, with no additional charges. We plan on using them again in the future to replace our furnace.

This was the fourth service person we had here trying to fix a five year old air conditioner. This is the first time I had any confidence that the person knew what they were doing. Will never call another company besides this one.
