Description of Work: We couldn't be more pleased with Thornapple. Major items included installing drainage for a retaining wall, add an extension to the retaining wall, bury two downspouts and add a riser to our patio steps. They will return to do pruning and trimming later. James Konrad of Thornapple spotted the drainage problem immediately. Other landscapers were only going to fix the cracks, which would not have solved the problem. Work was done in a timely fashion. The crew was extremely courteous and easy to work with. Clean-up was excellent. We are very pleased with the quality and workmanship. We will not hesitate to use them in the future, if the opportunity arises.

 + -1 moreIt took a few days for Kurt to give me a call to come out and look at the prospective work, but once he called he came out promptly. He sent me the estimate quickly as well. When he was here, he was thorough and explained the work that was to be done. The only problem we had was that they were the highest priced company that we called and their schedule was a little too far out for us.
Description of Work: I needed some gutter downspouts buried and some plants removed, transplanted and added.($1870.)

 + -1 moreThornapple was quick to respond to our initial phone call. Amy Reynolds came to visit our house and drew up a quick plan at no charge. I was impressed with her ability to make some quick recommendations based on our general interests and existing landscape. Her knowledge of both hardscape materials and native and historically appropriate plants was very helpful as we discussed options for adding onto and modifying our overgrown and neglected city lot landscaping. Amy provided a proposal quickly, and did not pressure us to commit to more work than we were ready to do. After Amy walked us through the process for getting a permit, Thornapple took care of calling JULIE and were out to complete the job in very short order. They completed our stone/concrete paver walk in one & a half days, and were respectful and neat during the process. We are very happy with the finished product.
Description of Work: Concrete/Stone paver walk designed and installed. Design for landscape improvements was drawn up for future installation.
