Olson Windows Doors & Siding

From start to finish, the Olson people are very professional. Brian Olson provided us with prices on a variety of manufactures and styles of windows. He is always friendly and open to the changes that inevitably occur during the selection process. The window installers show up on time, prepare the work space, remove the old windows, prepare the rough openings, install the new windows, insulate the open space well, install the casings and completely clean their mess before they leave. The entire installation process took just 4 days. We had the casing stained as well and the painter Olson uses is also friendly and professional. I would definitely use Olson again if I needed doors or windows installed in my house

The project went really well. Yvette came to our home and was really knowledgeable and professional. She was prompt and we received a quote by the end of the day. After having received other quotes, we decided Olson was the best. What we liked most is that the quote included everything. Door, hardware, new screen door, and paint (interior and exterior)! Everything went really well. Everyone we dealt with was professional and helpful. We were glad to have the project finished without having to go find out own hardware, painter etc... We would recommend Olson to anyone!

We got 3 estimates - Olsen came in the middle at $7450 for all 4 windows and the Hardie board trim replacement. Note, the window alone in the kitchen would have run about $1250 if it had to be replaced without the rebuild. So if you are pricing windows, keep that in mind. The $1250 per window includes the installation along with standard labor involved if there are some irregularities. Any large scale problem with door and window opening - will add to the price. Yvette came out and presented our options in late October. We had old vinyl windows that were builder quality (read: cheapest crap available) originally installed when the house was built. We could not afford to replace all of our windows - but we had the 2 large sliders in our kids rooms that were badly leaky, a window build-out in our kitchen over our sink with Hardie board that leaked air and water and a sliding patio door that barely slid and wouldn't lock. She strongly discouraged replacing with vinyl windows - even Pella's top of the line version. She recommended the Fiberglass which would not suffer from the expansion/contraction problem and has the option for foam interior for added R value. The cost was more (surprise!) but the windows called Imperva were tops in Consumer Reports and so we went with her recommendation. It took 6 weeks before the order was fulfilled and they were ready to install. This is standard for the industry. It took 2 days to replace all the windows. The 2 sliding windows and Patio door on one day. The single slider with Hardie rebuild on day 2. The 2 guys who did the install were outstanding, meticulous and knowledgeable about their craft. They also knew a great deal about the windows themselves. We are very happy with the results. The Patio door is great - with the screen door on the inside in a patented system that uses the wind to improve the seal of the door. The real change - is in the kids rooms - the new windows have made a dramatic difference in both temperature, moisture condensation and sound control. I wish windows were less expensive. If you are a carpenter, you can buy the windows directly and install them yourself and save some money. For the rest of us - it is a huge expense. So don't cheap out - get high quality windows from Pella, Andersen or Marvin. Then get it installed properly - it matters - details like flashing, insulation, trim matter. Get a company who know their business. The small premium for Olsen's expertise is well worth it. Then you can forget about it for 20 years.

. Brian Olson was the perfect pro. He came out and showed us all of our options and what he thought was best for out style house. A solid house built in 1950. There were some install issues with the front door, Brian had some great ideas for the trim work that went along with the age and style of our house and now we feel that our new front door is one of the focal points of our house. The Pella windows that were installed in the family room are costom made to fit and they were installed perfectly. I recomend Olson window and doors to anyone who wants high end product with outstanding customer service at a great price.

After 2 plus years of shopping for casement windows, we finally decided on Olson windows doors and siding for the job. Thanks to Brian Olson on suggesting my wife and I to Lindsay vinyl pinnacle series windows. To make us comfortable on the decision Brian even went out of his way to have us meet Senthil the owner of Lindsay Windows in Warrenville, where we tour the warehouse. Even tho we had some window problems, they were immediately taken care off, thanks to Julio and crew from Lindsay and lets not forget the beautiful job done by the installers. Again thank you Brian and everyone involved in the project for the clean transition and great job. My wife love's them and that's the most important thing. Now it's time to enjoy the life time warranty windows..

Dave Depinto arrived and went over the project with me and all my options. After we decided on which type of windows and doors to use, Dave went over the whole procedure so I knew what to expect. It takes 6-8 weeks to get the windows and door in. When they were in, I was called and scheduled the install within one week. The installers arrived first thing in the morning and looked over the area. They took the time to drape everything to protect the area while they worked. It took around 3.5 hours to complete. Once they were done, they vacuumed and even put the drapes back up for me, remembering how I had had them before. I was very impressed with the work they did. The job looks wonderful! I will definitely use them again in the future for any other window or door projects! I was very happy with this company and how personable everyone was to work with.

I was in the market for new windows and got estimates from other companies. Since Olson had previously installed french doors for us, I knew the type of work they did. The price was right and we knew the installation would be as well. Installers were always on time. They were very neat; always cleaned up work areas inside and outside. Pella delivered the wrong grill for one of the windows and miscut the size for another window. There was no problem getting that corrected. Once the windows were installed, I was contacted by the painter and scheduled a time for the staining. He was very professional and cleaned up his workspace. On the occasion he was running late, he always called to let us know.

Olson Windows did an excellent job providing service for the purchase and installation of our windows. Brian was very accomodating and helpful during window measurement and selection -the quote was very competitive. The installation team was on-time, provided a very good installation, were professional and courteous. The replacement window trimwork was excellent, and the clean-up was very good. I would recommend to anyone.

The door installation, fit, and quality were excellent. The purchasing experience went very well with Brian offering several good options to choose from, with good advice in the selection process. The installation team was on-time, conciensous, and clean. They provided quality installation on the scheduled date.

I contacted multiple companies to wrap my fascia in aluminum and have my soffit replaced as well. Olson's price was the most competitive and included a 5-year labor warranty. Throughout the process, Scott at Olson was pleasant to work with. Any time I emailed him with a question, he responded quickly. My only complaint was the start date for the project kept getting pushed back, but Scott kept me updated about when the crew would arrive. When the workers did arrive, they did a great job. It took them two days to complete the fascia and soffit and then they came back one final day to wrap my porch posts with aluminum. We did not need to be home when they did the project and they left out lawn looking like they had never been there. Everything looks great and Scott made sure we were happy with the fascia and soffit throughout the process. I would definitely recommend that and would work again with them in the future.

Overall our experience was great! We had been putting off buying our new windows, but are so happy we decided to finally get it done. We worked directly with Brian Olson - who has a great deal of knowledge and experience - it made our ordering very easy. Our windows arrived on time, both day and time slot honored. The installers also arrived on time and were very conscientious, courteous and excellent at their job! We can't believe how quiet it is in our house with the new windows. We expected efficiency, the quietness is bonus. We are extremely happy with the Quality and look of our windows. Our house has never looked better.

It went well -- we had some trouble figuring out which windows to buy and the person from Olson was very patient and helpful in working with us to find the best option for our attic. Install went quickly and went well.

In the past three years, Olson Windows has replaced all of our windows and five doors, including our front entry door. Most recently, they have replaced our cedar siding with HardieBoard and installed new gutters, eaves, and fascia. All of the products have been expertly installed, and we couldn't be happier with the workmanship, which receives many compliments from our guests. We have always been impressed with the professional and courteous manner in which the entire Olson staff--Dave,our sales rep; Joann, the office manager; Tony and Jack,the lead installers; and all of the crew members--conduct themselves. Everyone has done a beautiful job, working carefully and efficiently so that every detail is right. Our 40-year-old house looks almost new again, and we love the transformation!

My wife and I could not be more pleased with the job done by Olson Windows! From beginning to end, we found Kevin and the entire team to be responsive and professional. Kevin worked with my wife and I to find a solution that met our needs and our budget. Our project started with trying to find and fix a leak over our bay window and evolved over time to include window replacement in the affected area. Kevin showed us why his plan would fix our leak problem and his construction team made sure that I saw what they were doing during each step of the process. The communication was 1st rate and much appreciated. The construction team showed up on 8/8 on time and were on schedule from the word go. The old siding was removed and the windows went in before lunch on the first day. The new house wrap was done by EOD on the 1st day and the team worked hard to complete the siding installation on the second day. The 3rd day the drywall guy came in and knocked out the repair quickly and professionally. You cannot tell there was any sort of drywall damage whatsoever now. The team cleaned up after themselves both days and worked hard to make sure they got the job done on time. In case you can't tell- I was thoroughly impressed with their performance! I would recommend Kevin and his team to ANYONE looking for a professional to get the job done. Kevin will be coming back to our house in the near future to replace more of our windows and we look forward to working with him in the future.

The saleswoman, Yvette, came to our house to get the measurements for the window and go over the options. I went with her recommendation of a Pella fiberglass-framed single-hung window. It went very quickly, she was very knowledgeable, and there was no pressure at all. When the window came in after about 6 weeks, I set up an appointment for the installation. The installers arrived on time and were completely done, including the clean-up in about an hour. Yvette followed up with a call about a week later to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. It was a very pleasant experience.

It took quite a while to get the doors, but an installation date was set up quickly once the doors were received. The installation men were prompt, courteous and did the little extra touches that I requested, as well as cleaned up thoroughly when finished. Very professional.

I found the estimate acceptable for the work and material. The installation and painting were done in a timely and workman like manner.

Olson came out and took measurements working around our schedule - Mr. Thorson came out at 8pm to accommodate us! He gave us several options based on our needs and price range. Installation was neat, professional, and efficient. The guys were very polite and cleaned up after themselves. A painter followed a week later to paint the doors and trim, same positive experience. Felt the price was very fair and was the cheapest of 3 other estimates we received. We have already called Olson to set up another replacement job!

Kevin and his team were very good! Very professional and clean. Pretty much did everything in a day without the staining. The staining was also done by a member that works with this company that was also very good. Everything came out perfect. There was a small crack in the window after installation that was repaired by Pella. Olson had to come out and stain a piece that went around the window that they did for free and didn't have to. It was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again!

We are very pleased with all aspects of the work performed. Our initial contact was with Kevin at Olson's Warrenville location. Kevin was very pleasant to deal with. He explained in detail the pros and cons of the various materials that could be used as siding for our home. Unlike our contacts with other siding companies, Kevin went ``the extra mile'' and took the time to suggest a number of color combinations that we had not thought of. Thanks to his suggestions our home now has much more ``curb appeal'' and a more modern look. Kevin returned our calls promptly, clarified details we were not sure of, and all appointments were kept on time. The actual installation process was a perfect demonstration of craftsmanship and teamwork. George, was the crew leader, and upon arriving for the first day's work, he gave us an overview of how the work would progress, and introduced us to the other members of his team. When we had a question, George and/or another member of his team would give us their full attention. After watching the men at work it became very clear that all of them took a great deal of pride in their work. I think their communication with us and with each other was exceptional. The crew arrived on time each morning. The results of their combined efforts are impressive and we have a new found pride in our home.
