Olson did a great job! I had my 20yr old sliding door in my kitchen replaced and it looks beautiful! The installers were awesome - they know what they are doing. They were very professional, courteous & polite and provided updates as they were working. They also cleaned my floor when they were done. The project just completed with the painting of the trim - looks really good! I will use them again and refer others!

Olson Windows did a great job replacing our patio door (silder) and transom. The 2 men did a very neat installation and the inside and outside of our house looked perfect. I highly recommend them!

I met with the salesman (Dan), and he measured the windows I wanted replaced and discussed the options with me. I had done some research and wanted Andersen windows to match what the previous owners had installed. The quote I received seemed reasonable, and they have good reviews on this site so I accepted the offer. It was about two months later when the windows came in and the installation was scheduled. The installers did a great job...it took them almost a whole day to complete as there were a few challenges they ran across, but nothing they couldn't handle. It was a full frame replacement, so they installed new interior trim, as well as wrapping the exterior. They did a nice job with making sure the new windows were insulated properly and caulked. They put drop cloths down to protect the floors, and vacuumed when they were finished. The next week the painter came out, and over two days stained and sealed the interior trim. He also did a very nice job and was careful to use drop cloths to protect the floors. The only issue I had was that two of the new windows in our dining room were about 4 inches shorter than the windows they replaced. The old windows were not a standard size, so he ordered the closest standard size that would fit. The installers build up the frame to accommodate this, and by using wider trim were able to cover things up so no repainting of the walls was needed. But I had not expected to lose four inches of glass on those windows. I called the salesman back and we discussed the issue. We disagreed about whether or not this was made clear to me on sales call, but ultimately were able to make an agreement with a credit of $150 for each window. Dan was very professional and worked with me to make sure I was happy. Aside from that issue I was very pleased with Olson Windows, and I would use them again in the future.

WOW! From the beginning our experience with Olson was excellent. We were provided the tools we needed to make a decision in the replacement of windows in our home during the visit. We did have other companies in our home and it was a "no brainer" to us which company to contract to provide this service to us. Tony from Olson was patient with us during the whole process. My wife was emphatic the material used to cap our trim was an exact match to the painted trim on our house. Tony returned when my sister in law could be here to pick out the correct color for the trim. He returned with every color book he could find from every siding company they did business with. They nailed the color spot on. Tony explained which window companies they did business with, & we did our research online of these companies. We made the decision to have Simonton vinyl windows installed. Tony explained how the install process was going to proceed, the time frame it would take to get the windows ordered in stock and scheduled for install. We waited to do this during the busy season of window replacement so we waited a few weeks but Olson called to schedule the windows at or before the time promised. Tony answed every "stupid" question we could throw at him with incredible accuracy. Tony even did last minute requests we came up with during the installation of the windows... We were very happy with the whole process and all the employees we had in our home. BTW, it's beginning to get cold out & the windows are a outstanding improvement in our home. Everything went great. Installers were quick, professional and left no mess. Salesman we worked with was knowledgable.

Showed up earlier than promised. Did an exceptional job, in fact we hired them for some additional work. Called several times to make sure we were completely satisfied before asking for final payment. Have nothing but good things to say about this company

There simply aren't enough words to get across how pleased my wife and I are with the service we received from Olson's. We had two glitches, one was a manufacturers defect that Olson took care of as promptly as possible. The other was a misunderstanding that Dave (our contact person/estimator) didn't hesitate to step in to handle and the only word that I can use in his solution was that he left me 'thrilled', no two ways about it. As for the guys that did the installation, Mark and Ziggy, are craftsmen that knew what they were doing and left everything as clean as could be when they were through. I'm afraid I wasn't here when their finisher came in to do the painting and staining so I can't provide his name but did a professional job and have no issues with the work he preformed. The only way Olson could have done more for us is if they had provided us with winning numbers for the Lottery. There's nothing left other than to say thanks to all.

The work was done on time and within the original estimate. The workers, both the window installers and the painter would stained the trim were thorough, on time, and did a complete clean upon finishing. I am satisfied with the work.

Initially, this company was our number one choice based on the reviews from Angie's List. Unfortunately for them, they dropped the ball with getting us a timely quote. Their sales rep was nice and polite but did not follow up with his own quote dept. and we had to follow up with them to ensure we got the quote. The quote took 2 weeks. Then, we had an additional question even after we looked past this misstep and have not heard back from the rep. We signed a contract with another company last night to do a third of our house and will spend $12,000 overall on the first part of the project. We put down a deposit of $2,500 last night to start the process. In the next year, we will probably spend $30,000 with the company that was most responsive, professional, and gave the best value for our money we are spending. Olsen essentially lost a sale from a serious buyer because they were just not that responsive. Their quote was fair and may have gone with them if they were more on top of their sales process. They lost out and another company gained our business for both doors and windows. So, above the $30,000, we plan on spending another several thousand for doors, too. My suggestion for Olson is to get better organized and responsive. No customer wants to chase after a company. What if something went wrong with our windows down the road, would Olson be even harder to get a hold of?

From the moment we met Tony when he came to see the house and give an estimate, we knew that this was the person we wanted to work on our home. His estimate gave us the best price, and his approach to removing and replacing the windows also made us comfortable that we were in the hands of an expert. The Olson crews were prompt, courteous and professional. We had some glitches with the Marvin company, but Tony was right there to go to bat for us and straighten things out. No matter what happened, we knew that we would receive fair treatment and that our windows would look beautiful. We would recommend Olson to anyone who wants great windows at a great price and the comfort of knowing that the company will stand behind all guarantees.

The experience was pretty seamless - the only issues I've had have been after the installation was completed. Our sales fellow, Tony, was prompt for his appointment to meet with us. He did a thorough walk through of our house, checked the windows out and gave us an honest recommendation for our window options. We honestly expected the quote to be higher than it was, considering we were planning to replace all of the windows in the house. The only things we didn't do were replacing a 1/2 circle window above our front door (too expensive) and replace our drafty front door (another 4-5k I didn't have laying around). We were pre-approved for no-interest 18 month financing, so that helped us space all of the costs out over time. We were told that the new windows would most likely be delivered and scheduled for deliver in March, which was fine by us. But we were called up and told that the windows arrived and they could install them in January. I thought that was nuts because...it's cold...d*** cold in January and we weren't in a hurry. We had survived just fine - another month or so wouldn't hurt us. But they came out and begin installing. It took them an extra day because it was just too cold to work on a day or so. Once the windows were done - everything seemed pretty good to go. A short while later, we learned that one of the windows was whistling and a couple others had ripped screens. They were quick to come out and replace the screens and fix the whistling in the windows. My only two outstanding "complaints" would be 1 window wasn't fully caulked. I sent an email to the sales guy asking what kind of caulk was used (I'll do it, it's no problem) - he told me but also said not to worry about it - they'd come finish it. (They didn't). Then I got a call from the owner asking about everything. I explained the missing caulk issue - and he too said they'd come out and finish it up (they didn't). It's minor but annoying. The other is, as the snow melted, I noticed that they left quite a bit of mess around the house where they removed the old windows. Not sure what they ripped/tore off the house but they didn't really clean it up either. So, missing caulk and messy yard aside, everything went really well, we thought the price was fair and everyone we worked with has been very cordial and nice.

Olson was great. They were very professional and did a great job on the windows. The installation crew was very careful about keeping the environment clean of dust, covering my household items and floor with tarps and vacuuming while they were working which made it easy to put my house back in order quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

I appreciate the time and effort Dan put in to explain everything about sliding glass doors for me. In the end, I found a product that I just liked better, but his professionalism and willingness to answer my questions was wonderful. I truly appreciated his efforts. I will definitely keep this in the mind for future work.

We had interviewed multiple companies and received three referrals for this major project. Olson siding and roofing was not the cheapest and I've learned over the years not to always accept the least expensive quote. Joe displayed the knowledge and after visiting some other work completed in the area, I was assured Joe and his team would a great job. In fact after the completion of all the work, Olson Windows Doors Siding & Roofing exceeded our expectations. I would recommend Olson to anybody.

This past fall, my wife and I noticed a few gaps in some of our windows and we both agreed it was time to purchase new windows. We saw a few Pella Window ads and decided to call Windows & Exteriors by Olson. We quickly developed a great rapport with this company and we found them to be extremely knowledgeable. Everyone we spoke to had excellent communication skills and always responded to us in a timely manner. The information they gave was clear and concise. They gave us many options on which windows would best fit our home. They also gave us an accurate estimate on what the windows would cost. We took some time to shop for other window manufactures and styles but ultimately decided we liked the proposal we received by Windows & Exteriors by Olson the best. The installation process was a breeze; we were particularly impressed with the installers? efficiency and attention to detail. They were professional, polite and very thorough in their work. We wanted the new inside window trim to match some of our existing windows that we were not replacing, and they were able to do that with no problem at all! The windows were installed in a matter of just a few hours. They even called for a follow-up to get our feedback. We are extremely satisfied with our beautiful windows and the professionalism with this company as a whole. My wife and I could not be happier with our windows and we will strongly recommend Windows & Exteriors by Olson to others without any reservation.

We worked with the Warrenville location. I changed my mind several times on the front door I wanted but the staff was more than willing to provide me multiple quotes. The installation staff was clean, precise, and effective. We also used their finishers for paint and wood staining. I was very impressed with their ability to color match on the stain and they were very clean and did excellent detail work.

After reviewing several window companies and working with their sales or owners, Olson Windows stood out from all the rest. They were also recommended by my brother who has some windows replaced on his home by them. We worked with Tony who came to our home and he listened to our needs and wants in windows and recommended Lindsay Pinnacle brand/model for our home. Of all the manufactures of windows Lindsay had what we wanted making Tony's recommendation spot on! I researched these windows and found they are very, very good quality. Tony gave us an extremely good price too for the calibre of these windows. Over the course of waiting for the windows to be manufactured (as they were custom), we decided to go with Olson for our front and rear doors and storm doors as well. Again Tony worked with us and even made more trips to deliver color palettes to our home to help us choose the colors for the doors. Again I felt the price was very good for Therma Tru Doors which are amongst the best on the market. Again Tony excelled here with his knowledge and helping us pick what we wanted and understanding our needs and budget. For the installation, Olson was able to coordinate both the doors and windows installed at the same time, it took a total of two full days for the vast amount of work. Two installers came, promptly on time, Adam and Veetek (sp?) These two installers really knew there task on hand and I was amazed at how quickly and efficiently they took to the job. I dont mean quick as being rushed, but this context meaning they knew installation of windows and doors! I used to be an engineer by career and still am very focused on details and explanations, and these two gentlemen took the time to explain everything to me and offered recommendations on stain choices, etc. Also the work was all done so organized and neat, I did not have to pick up anything or clean anything whatsoever at the end of the first day and when the job was complete. On the second day the windows were finished and all the aluminum work was done outside! Top notch all that work and re-caulking was worth its weight in gold! The doors and the installation again went to perfection, Adam and Veetek went over and beyond, well exceeded my expectations and even did some "extras" such as replacing some trim work as opposed to re-using existing. At the end of the second day, they both made sure I knew how the windows operated and made sure all my questions were answered. There was only one issue, but no fault of Olson at all, one of the door sweeps for the storm door was missing in the box from the factory. Olson took care of this immediately and within a week Adam and Veetek came back to install it on the door. This kind of follow up exceeded my expectations once again. It's now been 2 weeks and I can already notice how quiet the house is with the new windows and doors, and you can actually place your hand by the window in direct sunlight and barely feel if any heat come thru those windows on your hand! And the doors, nothing but compliments and our house has new and great curb appeal with this improvement! I also notice my AC does not run like it used to keeping the house cool. I am looking forward now to the savings I know I will get in winter time. I already have given Olson's name to my family who are looking for the services they provide, and even some of my customers I support with my work. I will certainly use them again!

I called for a quote to replace my existing windows. I worked with Kevin Dieball out of the Warrenville office. Olson Windows and doors was one of five installers that I contacted for product information as well as a price quote. Since they were number five out of five. I was prepared for the "line", the "pitch" and the rhetoric of bad mouthing anything they can about another product or vender. Guess what! there wasn't any of that. Kevin came in and explained the products that they offer. He took measurements and provided an estimated project cost with no pressure, no sign now. It was like dealing with a family member. In fact he did not want us to sign anything until we had the opportunity to go to the showroom and view all of their product lines. During the showroom visit Kevin gave us all of the information about the products that they had , showed us how each window was constructed , the benefits of those windows compared to a standard and pricing for each option. Still no pressure. Go home and think about it and give me a call was his response. I would like to add that we spent at least two hours at the showroom. Absolutely the best out of anyone we had out. We signed the order agreement. The windows arrived when promised and the install was seamless. I am very fussy about detail and quality of work which gave me some concern prior to the start of the installation. The install crew consisted of five people. I am fussy this group is me on steroids. George, Tammi and crew took great care in protecting carpets and walls. The quality of work was superb. Everything was done like it was their own home. The sealing and capping was done to perfection. The oak casing install has tight miters and is square and true. No short cuts ,all quality work or should I say craftsmanship. I would be happy to call on any of them again.

Top notch experience all around. I called Olson in March and had someone come out and quote us for a new front door. Our Sales guy, Dave DePinto, did a great job of helping me find the exact door that I wanted. We were looking for a certain style with a three point lock since there had been some break ins in the neighborhood. He was able to find me a secure and stylish door. The installation was quick and to exact specifications. They did a wonderful job. We will be going to them when I replace my back door next summer. Couldn't be happier with my experience!

Olson was great. Their prices are fair and quality was great. Specifically, Tony their sales rep was excellent he was incredibly responsive and took care of everything for us. if we had a question he was on top of it right away. They replaced all the windows/sliders/and front door of our house, it was a big job and they did it quickly and efficiently.

Everything was great from the first sales consultation through installation. Our salesman, Tony, was punctual, expert, and great to work with. The installation crew showed up on time, were very polite and professional, did great work, and cleaned up after the job. We are very pleased with the whole experience, and would highly recommend Olson to our friends and neighbors.

I was very excited after reading the reviews on Angie's that we had been assigned Tony as our sales representative. He has certainly lived up to his reputation on Angie's List. He was very helpful in assisting us with choosing the brand and type of windows we purchased. He was especially helpful in assisting us with not spending more than we had to. For example, the other company that came to estimate the job told us that we would need a custom patio door (very expensive). It turned out that our existing patio door was less than two inches smaller than a standard size. Tony quickly pointed out that the installers could adjust the framing so that a standard size would fit.That saved us money. Tony was also available throughout the install to be sure that everything was going well. The windows and door were delivered to our home directly by Pella and the install began the following day. The installers were very professional. The install took 4 full days, but we had some delays (days cut a little short due to heavy rain to during the process). But they were very, very neat (something I am a bit of stickler about) and left our home clean each day. We had a small issue with some caulking and a window crank that needed adjustment. Olson came out quickly and resolved the issue immediately. We cannot believe the difference the new windows and door have made in modernizing the interior and exterior of our home. I would definitely recommend (and already have) Tony and his team to friends, family and other Angie's List members.

George and his crew were extremely efficient and had the work completed in two days. They arrived at 7am and worked until 4pm. They cleaned up both inside and out taking care to cover the inside furnishings. They were neat and courteous and a pleasure to deal with. This is the second time I have used this company and highly recommend them. On a side note-their window quote was at least $2000 less than other contractors.
