The person that came to the house was very professional and prompt with the quote; however, the repair took longer than expected. I assumer the repair was fince since I can't go up on the roof to check. Overall, I am satisfied.

Called Swistun for an estimate to replace all gutters, on a single story bungalow. I spoke to Claudia in the office, who was quite knowledgeable about the service requested, and returned my call within twenty minutes. Chris the estimator was at my home within two hours going over the job with my wife, discussing all facets of the work to be done,and the time frame it would take to complete. The Contract was signed on Friday, 11/14/2013, the material was delivered Monday 11/17/2013. On Wednesday 11/19.2013 the job was started and completed, in one day!! The old gutters were hauled away and job site was cleaned up. There was constant communication with Chris, regarding the installation, materials, and Swistun's overall installation crew performance. Claudia & Chris are truly excellent at customer service and communications with their customers,.They are responsive to customers questions, comments and concerns. On November 26,2013, Chris came back for the final walk around and inspection, of the job. Swistun Inc is a company I would refer to anyone seeking a overall quality, professional, responsive, punctual service provider!!

Swistun himself cam out. He fixed the leak and patched a number of broken shingles, etc. on the roof.

Several cedar shake shingles flew off our roof during a storm on a Sunday. I contacted the provider via email, and the owner called back the next day. My husband arranged for him to come by to look at the damage that day; he assessed it, saw extensive damage in part of the roof, and was able to repair the damage, plus fix some improperly installed shingles within two days. The owner provided a written proposal; he was very pleasant, very professional; a pleasure to work with. I would definitely use them again for any roofing/gutter work.

I had my garage built in June, 2007 by Danley. I would never use or recommend Danley again. When my garage roof leaked recently after a big rain, I called Danley to ask if I still had a warranty on the structure. The answer was no. I was shocked because this garage wasn't cheap ($14,000) and in my view is new. I was told to wait until it rains again and see what happens. I'm sure if a man had called he wouldn't have gotten hat answer. I called Swistun who have used in the past to schedule an appt. Claudia answered the phone. She's was extremely polite and courtesy and made an appt. for Chris to come out and take a look. When Chris arrived, he found not only the leak I had because of a hole in the shingles and the plywood but many other areas that were wet and needed to be fixed. Apparently, the lining that goes over the plywood is suppose to go form the top of the garage all the way to the edges wasn't there. It only went part way down. And the fascia was put in too high not allowing the shingles to point down so a cup was formed holding the water in. What Swistun did was remove all existing fascia and replace it with fascia that was installed about 8" lower than the previous one. also, they installed a new aluminum drip-edge (which was never installed on the original garage). And, they replaced any damaged shingles at the edge of the roof. The work was done in one day. They started at 8A and finished the work and clean up around 3:30P. As soon as they were done, it started raining. And, rained for a couple of days. I checked the garage and it was leak free. Thank you Swistun for a good job. I can always rely on you.

There are LOTS of gutter repair providers, but not many that will also take on repair of a damaged cupola on a steep cedar roof. These folks did the job, and they did it well. Particularly noteworthy is the level of communication from Chris, who did the estimate, prepared the contract, made certain the work crew (who were very good) knew what was expected, answered questions, and confirmed that the job was done to our satisfaction; and office manager, Claudia, who did a very good job of initial contact, invoicing, coordination, and follow-up.

The price was a little bit high. It was fine. Their price made me decide not to go with them.

Found Swistun on Angie's list when I couldn't contact the original installer of my gutters in a emergency situation. After a particularly heavy rainfall in July, I discovered that one of the downspouts in my house fed back into a catchment basin in a crawlspace in my basement. It had backed up and water was flooding a couple of basement rooms. Casey responded immediately to my call for help, interrupting a job he was already on that day. He provided an emergency diversion of the water to the yard. Subsequently, he created and installed a new partial gutter re-configuration, designed to correct the problem without having to install a whole new gutter system. The work was done very professionally by one of his installers in October. Casey was also quite helpful in suggesting alternatives for gutter de-icing cables to align with the new configuration. Because I wanted commercial grade cables that tied into my old system, I ended up using a local electrician for that. Casey indicated he was not able to do the commercial cables, but was very knowledgeable (and completely honest) about weighing the trade-offs. I was most impressed with Casey's responsiveness and overall customer service, supplemented by Claudia back in the office, who was also most knowledgeable and courteous. These folks are exceptional compared to most other service providers I have used over the years.

We bid the job to several companies with good ratings. What made Swistun stand out during the sales process was Dane taking the time to understand the unique ventilation challenges and recommend a solution that addressed the problem. Dane also helped us meet our budget by coming up with ways to reduce cost and provide options. The work went as quoted and within the amount of time described in the proposal. Dane was out at the job or in contact with me every day during the work to address questions and changes that came up during the installation. Job site was clean after each day and the debris was hauled away. The crew was professional and worked very long days to complete the work. One thing that made the process easier was the ability to communicate via email. This was extremely helpful for me for both the construction and the communications with Claudia in the office. Both Dane and Claudia were a pleasure to work with The roof and gutters look great and most importantly the ventilation system works. I would recommend and have recommended Swistun to others.

They gave us a timely and reasonable estimate. They ordered the windows and installed 3 weeks later when the windows came in. We have used Swistun many times and they have always been excellent.

Pricing was fair and the work reasonably on time but of the height quality.

In short, Swistun was courteous, responsive and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend their roof repair services. I had a roof leak and called first thing on a Monday morning after a heavy rainfall. Claudia called me back within 10 minutes and scheduled someone to come out to help me the same day at 1pm. Casey arrived exactly at 1pm, took a look at the area inside where the water was coming in, and then went up to the roof. He returned very shortly later with photographs of 11 holes in my roof, which he diagnosed were caused by an animal trying to get in! He showed me the largest hole was still not big enough for an animal to get through. He answered several of my questions about whether he had seen this before, what kind of animal he thought it was, and if he thought it would happen again. Very patient and friendly. He had already confirmed that he had a crew in the area and that they could come over and do my repairs the same day after they were finished with their current job. Casey explained he would go get the supplies and bring them over, which he did, and the crew would be back later to take care of my repairs. The crew arrived while I was out running errands, and was finishing up when I arrived home. They completed all the repairs before I had to run out again, and had already cleaned up and gone. The extra materials were picked up within 2 days. Overall, great experience and I would recommend highly. Thank you!!

Home was built without gutter flashing and starter shingles were done wrong. In addition, expensive composite slate shingles had broken. Swistun came, replace broken shingles, fixed starter shingles without requiring the whole row to be replaced, removed gutters and installed flashing and then reinstalled gutters. At one point, it looked like one of the gutters had been installed short. I called and the owner, two workers, and the sales rep I spoke to came out to fix the problem immediately.

A little background, there had been a slow leak above our stove in the kitchen for more than 10 years after the roof was replaced. We thought it was above a kitchen door frame since that was where we could see paint and wallpaper lifting from the drywall. We'd had other home improvement companies out to try and help us identify the source of the leakage. We went so far as to pay a company $300 to perform a 2 hour leak test (2 people and 2 hours of labor) using a garden hose to try and replicate a rainstorm. Total waste of money . They couldn't find the leak. We waited (about 2 years) for the symptoms to worsen so it would be easier to identify the leak source. This spring during the worst of the rainstorms we had water dripping into our kitchen from the doorway so I looked on Angies list and called 3 roofers. Only Swistun responded that they would come out and estimate repairing the leak. The others said we were either out of the service area or they didn't do small roof repairs. My wife and I want to remodel our kitchen, but a roof leak is a show stopper. So we really hoped Swistun could identify the roof leak and fix it for good. Swistun estimator, Dane Baird came out in a timely manner after we called them. He showed up on time, that was nice. He quickly and accurately accessed why there was a leak in our kitchen ceiling. It turns out that when we had the roof replaced 15+ years ago the roofer didn't properly install the new roof kitchen fan vent. Turns out there was no ice barrier installed around the fan vent and that allowed a leak to begin. He showed us from inside our kitchen how the leak was traveling the length of the fan vent duct work, with the greatest amount of leakage occurring at the source just above the kitchen doorway where the fan vent was located on the roof. Swistun's estimate was sent to us within 2 days of Dane's visit to our house. We thought the estimate was very reasonable. The repair person came out as agreed upon, he performed the work with little disruption for my wife who works from home, and he cleaned up and left no trace of debris. It's been three months since the repairs were done and we've had some pretty decent downpours since then. No signs of any leakage.

First class company. Highly recommended. From the scheduling and billing with Claudia in the office, to the repair job with Chris and crew the whole operation was excellent.

One of the most service-minded companies I have worked with. All customer contact was scheduled, performed, inspected, and verified with timeliness. The follow-up and company attitude of customer satisfaction should be a model for all Angie's List service providers.

Chris came out to give original estimate and was very thorough. Claudia at the office was very helpful. Guys who completed work were prompt and did a nice job.

Excellent service, excellent job. I have used Swistun for 3 fairly big jobs. They are prompt, professional, competent, and thorough. Chris comes out before, during, and after the work for inspections. Claudia, in the office, is prompt, pleasant, and does accurate paperwork. The crew works very hard and does excellent clean up after the job.

They did an excellent job. Most importantly - they were incredibly responsive, nice, and helpful. Claudia was wonderful to work with - she made sure all of our information was on file and got us on the schedule fairly quickly considering how busy the company had been after all of the storms. Dane came out and gave us an estimate, and then walked me through it on the phone, and did a great job explaining what needed to be done. They then did the work the following week, and since then there's been rain, but our gutters are now clear! I can't emphasize enough how EASY they made the process. Sometimes when comparing quotes you might go for a company that's slightly cheaper - I would say don't do it, because if you have to bother them and call repeatedly and experience delays, it won't be worth it - assuming the costs are fairly similar, go with Swistun, because they will make the process a breeze and the work is done well. Would happily call them again for future work.

Very professional, attentive, came back after job was completed & re-did a section of gutter that we wanted in another place at NO extra charge. Very much wanted to please.

Claudia is the nicest office manager I have ever dealt with. She is prompt and followed up on every call and appointment. Dane did the estimate and also did checked work. There was some confusion when a crew showed up and didn't know what the job was and left because it was raining. Other crew came the next day and did the work, however, there were some leaks and water-flow issues. Dane and the crew came to make fixes until I was satisfied. Very high marks for customer service and I would use them again.

I was very pleased with the product, but one was missed. It took about 2 weeks and a few emails to get it done, but since it was a job that didn't require homeowner presence, it was not a problem for me. Very satisfied with clean up done and installation. Thus far, with all this rain; no problems noted.
