When I returned to pick up Punkin's ashes, I was very pleased with the sympathy and care that I was shown for my loss and the care with which Punkin's cremains were placed in the urn. I purchased a glass touch stone with Punkin's paw print on it and it came out beautifully. I have other pets and should the news arise, I will most definitely use Family's Pet Cremation again. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who wants gentle care to be used with their deceased pet.
Description of Work: In October 2017, my beloved, 21 year old cat, Punkin passed away. She died on the weekend and I paid a reasonable after hours service fee to be able to meet Alan at the Family's Pet Cremation office to make arrangements for Punkin's cremation. I used the VIP (solo) cremation and it was very reasonably priced as well. The care and concern that I was shown was appreciated in an extremely difficult time. Alan was helpful and professional and showed me different options for urns and remembrances.

Our family was blessed to have found Family's Pet Cremation through Angie's List. As the reader of this review, the reader needs to know that our family did not know when Corona would pass. Corona was sick with a disease called renal insufficiency ... and month by month, became week by week, and then day by day. We did speak with other pet crematoriums before choosing Family's Pet Cremation. But only Jason, the owner of Family's Pet Cremation, could promised that he would be available to perform the cremation ceremony on the same day that Corona passed. Our family had decided that we were going to be with Corona through every step of his passing on March 10, 2015 and then we would bring Corona home with us. The facilities at Family's Pet Cremation are magnificent. As we entered, our family experienced a warmth and beauty that we had not expected. And the facility was meticulously clean, as well as airy and bright. Jason was thoughtful and respectful, and he went through what was going to happen in detail. We had many questions, and Jason answered them all with patience, love and understanding for Corona. Corona loved the sun, and as the afternoon sun poured in through the west window. Corona was warm and comforted as he rested on the dais, and we gave our final respects to the best dog in the world. If you don't mind, I am going to post this review right now, and I will complete it later. It is hard for me to write more at this moment, since Corona is still alive in my heart as I write. Description of Work: Corona, our dog, was a member of our family. Corona was the sweetest dog that God placed on this earth. And our family had the immense and joyous good fortune to love and care for him for 15 years. Jason Belyew, the owner of Family's Pet Cremation, performed Corona's ceremony. And it was a beautiful and momentous tribute to Corona, a dog who stole the heart of every person he touched in life. "Jason, we want you to know that Corona thanks you and our family thanks you ... your lasting reverence and love for Corona will be etched in our hearts and minds forever."

Description of Work: It was a terribly distressing and upsetting time, and Jason was comforting and still able to understand me through my tears. When I expected to pick up the urn, there was trouble reaching Jason on his cell phone, and I was super concerned something bad had happened to the remains. I then left a message at the office, and Jason called me back shortly thereafter to apologize and let me know he was having trouble with his phone. I would use them again for another cremation.

I had to have my 16 year old poodle, Inky, euthanized on a Sunday morning. My husband had been at work and unable to say his final goodbye, so I brought Inky back home and researched pet cremetories. I found great reviews for crematories quite far from me. Then I happened to find a review on FPC in Arlington Heights, so I called there late Sunday afternoon and left a message. No one called back that day or early on Monday, so I thought I'd have to use one of the other places. I decided to call FPC one more time in case the message hadn't gotten through, and I'm really glad I did. I talked with Jason Belyew, the owner. He was very apolgetic about the missed call. He was vey kind and sympathetic and told me I could bring Inky in that day at 2:00 for a private cremation. He gave very good directions and I had no trouble finding it. It is located in one of those industrial office parks. Walking in was a surprise! It was a funeral parlor for pets! You could even hold a wake there. It was lovely. very pretty and comfortable and peaceful. Jason was very comforting and kind. I spent time with Inky saying my final goodbye. Then Jason came with a clay disc and made an impression of one of Inky's paws. When I was ready, he asked me if I wanted to see the crematory and I said yes. He took me back to where it was and very gently took Inky out of the box and placed him in the crematory. He took me back to the other room and put on the TV for me and my friend who had come with me. When the cremation was finished, about 70 minutes later, he brought me Inky's cremains, which were in a little zip lock bag. He placed them in a nice cherry wood box and put the box into a velveteen bag with the words, " Until we meet again over the rainbow bridge" embroidered on it. He also brought me Inky's paw imprint in a little white gift box. He placed that in another little velveteen drawstring bag. I felt really good about my final send-off to my beloved pet, Inky. I was sad, yet comforted in my sorrow. I would highly recommend Family's Pet Cremation.

Jason was great. I called and he gave me the information i asked for. He was extremely accommodating and didn't push any services. When i brought my 15 year old toy poodle to be cremated Jason walked me through the entire procedure. He reassured me my baby would be handled with care. He showed me exactly what their procedure was and what they offered but never pressured or pushed. Loosing my baby of 15 years was the most horrible day of my life and FPC made it a lot easier. They did not take advantage by trying to push me into something i didn't want. Jason took a step back and let me decide. He even suggested i take a clipping of his hair and advised they would do a paw print for me. These items are priceless and i will have them forever.
