The salesman spent at least 4 hours beating us to death with the details of the superiority of Champion windows. Much less time was necessary. We agreed to all the terms, and, bottom line, the windows themselves are satisfactory for the most part. However, the installation was performed by a subcontractor, not Champion windows. The subcontractor was fast, but in the process damaged the interior walls and tracked dirt through the house that was not cleaned up. After the installation was complete, I documented the wall damage and soiled carpets to the manager, who did come out to the house and agreed the that the wall damages and carpet soiling were valid issues. When the manager asked me if I wanted the subcontractor to correct the problems or someone from Champion, I opted to have the Champion employee perform the repairs to the walls. Those were done quickly and professionally to my satisfaction. I cleaned up the soiled carpet myself. It is now almost 6 years later. We are mostly pleased with the windows, but the vinyl has already dried and yellowed on the south-facing side of the house. The west-facing window were poorly sealed, and every winter I have to put tape on the windows to reduce the drafts. I called several times to request service, but the calls were never returned. I figured that since they had my money, no further response was necessary. Would I buy Champion windows again? Probably not. The windows themselves are not bad, but dealing with the company is quite unpleasant. When you do see a salesman or representative, they seem to thing that a can of their spray window cleaner will assuage any issues you might have.
