Description of Work: Renee, completely overhauled the computer. Eliminated all the bugs, malware & trojan horses. I have been dealing with Microcenters for several years, never had any complaints. When I call to ask a question the phone is answered promptly, I have also referred several people to the store. Will not go any place else for service to the computers.

+ -1 moreThis was perhaps the best computer repair service I had ever experienced! I have referred this company many times to my friends and family and each one has had a great experience with Protronix! I highly recommend this company!
Description of Work: my computer would not start up so I spoke with the Geek Squad, they told me that it would take about 3 weeks to repair the computer and that I would probably get a bill for anywhere between $100 and $300 dollars. That was totally unacceptable as I have a home business and cannot get my work done if I have to wait 3 weeks. I then remembered I had seen a company off Bells Ferry Rd in woodstock that did computer repair so I went there and spoke with a lady named Renee that took a look at the machine right away and found the problem (it had something to do with a program that started automatically) so she turned it off and viola, my computer started up just fine! That was not the only good thing, when she finished I asked her what I owed and she said "Nothing, just tell your friends about my company". I was astonished to say the least.

+ -1 moreI was having boot up problems. They came to my home. We discussed the option of taking it to Woodstock about 50 miles round trip. They had a reasonable trip charge of 25.00. The basic fee is about 100.00. The technician was here over an hour. He offered to fix other things that were outside the original problem. He really wanted me to get some value for the service. He really knew what he was doing. I called Monday and was given an appointment for Tuesday. Someone had canceled on Monday afternoon and he was over within 15 minutes. They take credit cards. When I first spoke with the owner, she tried to help trouble shoot over the phone. She tried to help me solve the problem with out having to make a service call. They really want to help you and not just make a buck. Kevin Teeter was very helpful and professional.
Description of Work: They cleared the BIOS. Removed the unneeded start up programs. Reinstalled the Adobe 9 to repair Internet Explorer 8. Set the PC to hibernate on power button.
