Apalachee responded very quickly to our initial request for pricing. After receiving pricing from a few other companies we decided to attempt finishing the floors on our own in order to save some money. We quickly realized the scope was beyond us. We called Apalachee and they were able to fit us in within a couple days of our request and completed the work by the end of the week. They patched a couple areas to our satisfaction and even repaired some areas we hadn't noticed previously. There was an area of the house that needed structural repair. Apalachee agreed to let us have the area repaired and then they would come back out and complete the work. We called once the work had been repaired and they came out and finished the job within a few days. We were impressed with their work and responsiveness! We recommend others reach out to Apalachee with flooring needs.

The floors look absolutely beautiful! We used golden oak stain with commercial grade satin finish, and the floors not only look amazing, they also feel amazing (they feel GOOD to walk on). I would definitely recommend commercial grade finish rather than standard grade. It's a little more expensive, but not that much more. We actually had a minor issue with the finish at first. I asked for satin finish, so they used standard grade satin which is what is normally used in homes. But it looked much more like semi-gloss than satin. After it dried, I called Apalachee and asked if they could come out and take a look. Glen came out and immediately said, "This doesn't look like satin to me. I'll get to the bottom of it." Later that day he called and said that the satin finish formula had recently been changed, and the finish company that he purchased it from said that they'd been getting lots of complaints. The company gave him a bottle of the commercial grade for one coat. We ended up putting a second coat of commercial grade which I paid for (I offered, since they'd been out there double time to do the finishing when it wasn't their fault). What struck me most about the whole "finish issue" was that I didn't feel like I had to push them. Glen immediately saw the problem and took care of it. No BS of ANY kind. The crew are professional and friendly. They really know what they're doing, and none of them mind answering questions. ... and I asked a LOT of questions. The floors have completely changed the house. They're so warm and beautiful. We ended up getting a new kitchen rug because the old rug just didn't do the floors justice. :) Another thing - the folks at Apalachee answer the phone or return your call quickly! After we had paid them, I had an additional question, so I left a message, and they returned my call immediately. I couldn't be happier with the floors. They are now my favorite part of the house. Glen gave me the estimate and oversaw the job. He was very patient with my indecision over floor color and came out twice to put down floor samples so that I could feel confident in my decision. Edmundo and Isaac did the work and could not have been better. Arrived on time, were respectful, communicated well and were trust worthy. I expanded what I originally asked them to do and they were gracious and accommodating. I interviewed no less than 5 other companies and went to see their work at a previous customer's house. I am the kind of person who drills down on details and am picky and I was thoroughly satisfied and have already recommended them to several of my friends and decorator.

Their sales presentation was good, and their price was good. But after that, the sales person disappeared and their work crew was very inexperienced, and did poor quality work. They also mis-represented which products that they would be using, and also told us that we could stay in the house (upstairs) while they worked on the downstairs. However, they did not provide adequate protection from microscopic dust from sanding and also fumes from rising upstairs. I was ill for a month. The stain work was very poor quality, and the floor repair work has already started to come apart. The entire downstairs may need to be done again.

Glen was superb! He was one of the first service providers called to make an appointment and arrive on time for the look-see and estimate. Though we changed our minds about some details, he stuck with us in communication and faithfully and in a timely manner got back to us with revised estimates. We had a little juggling with the calendar to get the actual work done; but his crew showed up and worked steadily and expertly to get it all done. While it was going on, we made a couple of little decisions to enhance the finished work. Apalachee took it in stride and even went beyond expectations to leave us with a better than ever floor and trimwork. Thank you Glen & Apalachee crew.

They always arrived on time they said they were going to. They did the job they said they were going to do. The quality of their work was good. They weren’t the cheapest and they weren’t the most expensive on price. I would use them in the future.

They were very personable and very caring. They did the job when they said they would. They worked in a timely manner. They were very good to deal with. I was happy with their work and the results.

Apalachee did a wonderful job. They moved all of the furniture - some into a POD and some into unaffected rooms. They sanded the floors. Their dustless process is genuine - no dust around the house or in the vents. They helped me select a stain, applied it, then 3 coats of polyurethane. The process took a week. The water-based products have some smell, but nothing really overwhelming so we were able to stay in the house. They promptly answered all of my questions during the process either by e-mail or phone. At the end of the week, they put the furniture back in place. The floors look beautiful. I highly recommend the company.

Great service, from beginning to end. Eli and his team were attentive, careful with our belongings (even moved our furniture out of the house to be able to complete the job faster). They were available to answer questions via phone or email. Job was not completed on time only because they discovered another water leak in the house, which they were kind enough to point out and help me remediate. Strongly recommend working with both Team Terra and Apalachee. Thought my floors looked great before the water damage; the newly stained and polished looks is spectacular by comparison.

A + work, work done faster than promised.

It was easy to make an appointment with them and they arrived on time. They used a water-based product per our request and they did not try to change our minds. They were very knowledgeable about the various types of hardwoods and they gave us helpful tips on keeping my floors in great shape.

Eli and his company did an excellent job! He returned my calls promptly and arrived for the estimate just when he said he would. They helped to move and stack furniture and were organized in how they approached the job. His staff were very friendly and had senses of humor which made the experience fun. I can't say enough about their professionalism and their high quality of work. Our floors look fantastic. We only wish we had done it sooner.

The floors are beautiful and just want we wanted. The shoe molding was a good choice, it adds a very polished look to our floors. We did have a one day delay as the water line to the refrigerator broke while it was being moved causing a leak.

The representative was good. The staff were polite and helpful. The hardwood floors were well done, however the stairs and the tile were poor.I had to patch several holes that were left in the walls from their workers and had to do major work on the tile floor to make it presentable. They broke a tile next to the hardwood floors which I have to find a match and replace. Their price was good, but I got what a poor job for a slightly lower price. I would not recommend them to anyone unless you have a single room with only basic hardwood floors needed and you are planning to redo the walls and repaint them after the floor is completed. The tile is very uneven and did not go to the border, which I am having to replace myself. I really need to pull up the tile and do it over, since you can trip over some of the edges. After several conversations they did put the toilet back on the base, but the line leaked so bad, it had to be shut off until I could repair it. After several years the negative feelings have subsided. The floor is still there. The broken tile is still there and the uneven bathroom tile still works and is still uneven. It does all seem to be passing the test of tme. No one from Angie's list ever checked on the work as the company requested. I would have liked that as well, since it would let people know if I was just angry (which was part of it) or just making it up. That is something I would like to see in other reports to give them more credibility.

Based on the quality and experience of the flooring work done in their house, friends provided us a referral to the website. There I gathered a sense of knowledge, professionalism, and personal pride in their offerings, and felt more educated and able to better research the job. From the start of the bidding process, my wife and I felt most comfortable with Eli versus the 2 other contractors who were invited to our home to bid the project. We got the sense that he was actually seeing the finished work in his mind's eye on top of just providing an estimate; the others spent little time and even less enthusiasm for the job. Also, we like the fact that it's a local family owned and operated business. In fact, both Eli and his brother, as well as two very polite and skilled team members, performed the job. The prep, install, finishing, and cleanup were all done to our satisfaction. The floors are beautiful and their follow-up service is excellent.

It was excellent. When they went to put back the hand rail they were not installed back in correctly.
