Their pricing is great. They customer service and pricing is a lot better than my previous lawn care service provider. They always call me a day before they send somebody out.

I already had another service performing weed control but was not quite satisfied with the results. I called Scotts because of their reputation. The phone call went well and they told me all of the things I needed to hear to convince me to begin contracting for their services. I emphasized to them that the lawn was not in need of fertilization and that weed control was my primary concern as I had seveal weeds popping out at the time. They applied several applications and each time I came home to a written description of their services written on a door hanger. It was always described as fertilizer and no mention of weed control! I called back and stated my concerns and each time they would have someone out to apply weed control, but for the next service the pattern would again repeat with fertilization applied and no mention of weed control. After the second time I called and asked to speak to the manager and after some time I heard back. I explained my situation and talked with the manager about why the technician could ignore the several weeds that were in plain site on my lawn. The manager promised to address it but on the third application the same thing occured - fertilization but no weed control. I was also calling for interim services because 2 weeks after each time they said they applied weed control there would be little or no apparent affect on the weeds. I was quite frustrated and I think there may have been a fourth scheduled application but I'm not sure. With the need for me to make repeated phone calls and with no real effort to address my concerns I decided to cancel the service. They were terrible and refused to offer a credit. They have great salespeople but, as for my experience, the people on the operations side are BAD. I would never use Scotts again. .

There service has been very good. They brought our lawn back form death after another company treated it. I have used them for the last four years.

When I agreed to service, I asked for an appointment to be able to meet the person at the house. I was told they did not do this, so I asked that the person leave detailed notes about what was needed and why, and leave a number where I could call and ask questions. The receipt left was very vague - didn't even note what type of fertilizer or chemicals were used, as the receipt implied should be left. Within a couple of days, some of the weeds did begin to brown; however, he had clearly splashed weed killer in a swath across some hedges/bushes, and within a few days, areas of grass w/ no weeds also started to brown. I tracked down the number and left a message for the person who applied the treatment, and he did not return the call over the next 3 days, before we left town. I called again when we returned a week later; he again did not return my calls over the next 3 workdays. I called to cancel service. The operator kept saying 'yes we'll cancel it, but let's have the manager come out" to walk my lawn with me to discuss issues (of course they want to come out after I am ready to cancel). After 5 or 6 times, I finally raised my voice(not yelling) and said "I've been polite, but I've said NO. No means NO. Cancel the service." She finally did so. A few days later, I get a call from the someone at the Norcross office asking how I liked my service. The operator had not taken ANY notes as to why I cancelled, despite her telling me she would. I called Norcross back and left ANOTHER detailed message why I had cancelled.

I just switched to them about three months ago. So far they have been responsive to my request. Their prices are greatly competitive which shocked me because they are a national brand. They were as competitive if not more so than local suppliers.

I suppose the price would be graded higher if we actually got something that worked. The lawn is in worse shape now than last year. There are more weeds, and several sections are now ALL weeds - no grass left at all. Based on other resources, they aerated far too early. I called to complain (Monday), and the hard seller on the other end pushed me to schedule a service call where someone would go over the yard with me and make plans. Thursday we got a SALES call about a completely different service. Today I called to stop service, and their excuse was that they were going to call later this afternoon to tell us they were coming out tomorrow. I told her I was unavailable, and that they were asked to call to schedule. She seemed to think that calling over a week later and giving us less than 24 hours notice made it all ok; this is "just they way we do it." In short: they weren't able to tell that their service wasn't working; they were lackadaisical about working with us to solve the problem.

Our lawn probably looks as good as or better than most lawns in our neighborhood. They send us a bill at times even though we pay them yearly and then try to sell me something and get me to spend more money when I complain about it. Their office is close to the house and I have even gone over and complained to them personally. The office atmosphere was far from inviting. The staff was in their cubicles answering phones and they didn't have a receptionist or anything.

They seem to be responsive to getting the job done. I have been satisfied with the results of their work. The hand written reports and analysis are a little thin.

They are superior! I have had a long experience with them when I used to do my own fertilizing. I have gotten compliments on my yard since they have come out. It is a little bit more expensive but I think you get a return on your investment. They have come out at least once in the past two years where I felt that the weeds didn't respond well to the treatment, and they have taken care of it.

It was one of the worst experiences I have had. I spoke to them about aeration and they gave me a quote. The trouble started when the water restrictions started. I said I didn't feel comfortable doing it at that time, but they kept calling me. It seemed like there was no coordination between the sales department and the department that does the job. One day they showed up and aerated and put seed down and did a really bad job. They gave the excuses about miscommunication. Then, later they came out and did a second application of lime, which I had not asked for. They just said that they thought it was needed. They did come back and redo the aeration and reseeded, but then they were threatening to turn me over to a collection agency. I have since told them I did not want them to ever set foot on my lawn again.

We like the fact that we do not need to be at home when they come so it's quite convenient. They are very professional and knowledgeable, as well as reasonably priced. Our lawn looks great and we are very happy.

I use them for 2 different services. One is for my lawn and the other is for trees and shrubs. I am more satisfied with them now than before. I would recommend them. They are courteous and knowledgeable in their field. The people in my neighborhood have started using them now.

They come out every six weeks like clockwork. Our lawn hasn't been looking so good this year so we don't know if were going to keep using them. We have to pay every time they come out and are on a contract for the year.

I like them because they always call me the day before they come and let me know that they will be showing up the next day. They are accurate, always on time, and their prices, as far as I know, are reasonable.

The effect of what they do is not satisfactory. I rate the service lower in all categories because of this. They are always on time and professional though. There are no problems with the customer service. I just don't like the treatment not working. I will not use them anymore and I pay them per treatment.

We are always pleased with how our lawn looks from the fertilizer they use. It is a company that has a familiar name and they also have good customer service. They usually call to remind us of our next scheduled service and they are always on time. I would definitely refer them to others.

They weren't very knowledgeable and they didn't provide all the services that we were paying for, like fungus treatment. They sometimes weren't here when they said they would. They were unreliable and their supervisor wasn't helpful at all. We already terminated our contract with them.

I am very pleased with their service even though I think I could have found a better deal out there. I keep using them for their quality service and I would highly recommend them.

I think all the workers are really nice and they do a good job. I haven't had any weeds or anything grow since I have used them. They spray quarterly and I pay the same time. They are here on time and it does not take them long to do the yard. I don't have any complaints about them as they do exactly what they are supposed to do and I am happy with them.

I really don t understand why they always want us to upgrade when the work they do now, they can t do to save their life! It s almost like they show up just to collect their money and run.

I think they do really good work, but they have no communication. When I make an appointment, they show up when they want and if I tell them not to come they come anyway. I had to send them home once when I told them not to show up. The people who do the scheduling are not the ones who do the work, so they do not communicate well at all. They do an excellent job when they pay attention, so I will continue to use them because I am happy with their work and I am pretty much used to them.

We have been using them for five years now and they are responsive. It is hard to rate them because we are in the middle of a drought, but from previous applications there is only one thing that I don t like and that is the fact that I have always asked for a consistent set of guys to do the work because they are familiar with all of the situations. Every time they come it is a different person, but they said that they will deal with it though. I believe that they will keep their promise.

They are fine. They always come to my house on time and they always perform their job correctly. I trust them. I love that they give you senior discounts if you pay yearly. I m going to keep using them.

Terrible experience. Despite heavy duty campaign to sign up new customers, they failed to follow-up with results. My lawn never looked worse and I kicked myself for switching lawn companies. Weeds were everywhere and they were unable to make much progress after repeated requests for follow-up treatments. I finally had enough and canceled. Five days later they came when I was at work and applied another treatment. Naturally, I disputed the charge without any luck. The local office was rude and they eventually sent me a dunning letter. I have perfect credit and didn't want to damage my rating so I reluctantly paid the bill-- BEWARE!
