I consulted Angi on Easter Sunday April 20, 2025 after the septic backed up into the shower the previous night. Called several of the listed vendors; however, the only one taking call on the Holiday was Routerproxpress. The only reason I chose this company was because they could come out on Easter Sunday. They told me that they would arrive between 2 and 6 pm. I had a call at 4:30 that their trucks tanks were full and there was no place open on Easter to dump the trucks tanks. They rescheduled to Monday April 21 between two to six. I requested that they come after 4:30 since I had a very important appointment with my bank. They said they could arrange that. At 3:20 I had a call from the technician that he had located the tank and instead of the $500 quoted on the phone It would be $887, due to the large size of the septic tank at 1500 gallons and a large amount of solids. This seemed high but I wanted the problem taken care of ASAP, so I okayed the work. He also told me he thought there was a break in the line between the septic tank and the cross over line to the drainage field. Quoted over $6000 for the repair. I told him I wanted to get a second opinion and estimate before I would approve any further work. I also asked if it would be possible to use the toilets, sinks, and showers for a week or two while I did so. He said that would be okay. I instructed him to put the cover back on the tank and leave the dirt off the top. Later that night, the septic backed up again, this time flooding the basement. I contacted the office who called a manager John. John came out to see what happened at my request. He told me that he would call a water mitigation company and that routerproxpress or insurance would take care of it. A company called Propertymedics called me shortly and came out at 2 am on Tuesday am on April 22. They were pressing me to sign a work contract but I informed him (Claud) that Router pro xpress had called them out and said they would be responsible for the water mitigation. Claud said he suspected a blockage rather than a break in the line. I called the RXP office on Tuesday April22, ultimately speaking to the owner, Jeff. I explained that I was quite unhappy that we had flooded after the technician said it was okay to use the sinks, toilets . I was suspicious that the technician hadn t emptied the tank considering he was gone when I arrived 20 minutes after he had called me. And he had misdiagnosed the problem and given us the wrong information about using the sinks, toilets and showers. I said I would give him a poor review, contact Angi, and was considering a charge back to my credit card. He said the work was already done and he would put a lien on my house if I did. He said he would send a crew to do the repair and I better be ready to pay the $6000 plus bill then. I told him he should come with the crew and I would be there in person. The office said they would be out between 2 and 6 pm. In the meanwhile, I was planning to have another service provider out to diagnose my septic problem and get a quote and to be on hand when RXP showed up.

I used HomeAdvisor to find someone to unclog a drain that had been backed up for a while. The person that assisted me was very friendly and courteous and was knowledgeable of what I needed done. The work was done in a professional manner once problem was assessed. It was done in a timely fashion and I am very pleased with the work. I would definitely recommend Home Advisor to my friends and family.

UNPROFESSIONAL, NEED TO VET THEIR PLUMBERS MUCH BETTER, 10 HOURS TO DO A 5 HOUR JOB, STILL HAD TO COME BACK TO FINISH. CAME BACK WITH DIFFERENT PLUMBER (AT OUR REQUEST) COMPLETED JOB, BUT WE WERE TOLD WE WERE GOING TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, UNLESS THEY DID EXTRA WORK. (FOR $2500 MORE, ORIGINAL QUOTE $2900. CHARGES OUR CREDIT CARD BEFORE THE JOB WAS COMPLETE. NEVER ABLE TO TALK TO OWNER-NEVER USE THESE PLUMBERS. USED DIFFERENT COMPANY TO COMPLETE JOB. THEY WERE 1/2 THE PRICE AND REPLACED 3 TIMES THE NUMBER OF CAST IRON DRAINPIPES THAT ROOTER PRO XPRESS WAS GOING TO DO. THERE WERE SEVERAL OTHER PROBLEMS WITH ROOTER PRO XPRESS THAT I DID NOT MENTION. NEVER USE THESE GUYS.

I was one of the less fortunate customers. I do not recommend using this company.
I was convinced my field lines need pumping for the cost of 3k and they convince you to let them put a chemical to breakdown or dry out the dirt in lines. I?ve learned that is just a sales gimmick.
Their truck was filled up so they took off offa few hundred on my total and said I?d get a complimentary pump later. That?s never happened and then I was under impression the chemical had warranty if it didn?t work you get a certain amount back. That never happened.
Also I got served by a deputy stating on claim I was a thief and owed 8k plus bc they came and redid the whole septic system and it noted every step they took in redoing it. NONE of that happened I didn?t not allow them to do any work on my septic system. So that had to be resolved as well!
I was told by 3 local companies I was taken advantage of and I agree I was completely ripped off. My mistake for trusting lesson learned.

I was charged $650 to change a $6 flange on a toilet. (They were nice enough to give a $200 discount). The reason given for the high price was because there was company overhead that had to be paid. The not so funny thing about it is that they quoted me $650 to replace a different toilet at the start of the visit. Somehow, by the end of the visit, I ended up paying $650 anyway. I feel ripped off and hope Angie?s list do not allow them to do this to other people.
