"Unfortunately, this customer is giving completely false information in her review. Before work ever began, she was presented with a detailed quote of exactly what we would do. After her bartering with us for a lower price, we agreed to do only the services agreed upon in our quote to help save her a much money as possible. No where in our quote did it state that we would completely encapsulate her crawl space. The quote and contract that she reviewed and signed clearly states that we would apply a clear antimicrobial sealant to the wood in her crawl space after a detailed cleaning of her crawl space, to prevent future mold growth. It also clearly stated 6 mil lining, along with other services for the agreed amount. As it turns out, we started with 12 mil lining in our original quote, but this customer didn't want to pay that much, so we agreed upon the 6 mil liner. She actually negotiated until we were at our rock bottom price for the amount of services we were providing. LET ME BE VERY CLEAR, the quote and contract were reviewed by this customer before we began work. If she was not pleased with what was going to be done, she should have cancelled before work began. Or, at the very least say something about her dislike before work was finished. Instead, she waited until all work was complete just to jump in her car and leave before sending a text message saying she would not sign the completion form. And, as for two other cheaper quotes, I have to ask, "Why didn't she go with a cheaper quote?" We did threaten legal action due to the fact that she refuses to speak with us, except by 2 emails and 1 text message. We did try to resolve this via other measures; however, that became impossible when she refused to answer or return our calls. This customer never complained or said one word of her unhappiness until it was time to pay. Therefore, we immediately thought she is trying to rip us off. We already had just over $3,000 of our own money into the project, so of course we began to worry about theft of services. For the price she agreed upon, she got a detailed cleaning of all framing in her crawl space, mold prevention application, all new insulation, new liner, a brand new dehumidifier and debris haul off. We offered no more or less for the amount this customer agreed upon. We also agree with Buyer Beware and strongly encourage that. This is a first for us for having to beware of a customer wanting more than what they agreed to pay for. It's a lesson learned that we shall not soon forget. Since this customer never said one thing about being unhappy during the week we were there, only when it was time to pay, it has led us to believe that she is scamming us. We have also learned that people really do have the audacity to leave bad reviews without trying to resolve the issue when there have been MULTIPLE attempts from the service provider."
