Coolray Heating & Air Conditioning

I called Coolray late on Saturday evening and they responded promptly and sent a service technician out. I told him what was going on with my AC unit and he checked the Freon level and added Freon to fix the unit. He was done in less than an hour. The pricing for this repair was fair and I was very pleased with the service. I will definitely use them again when the need arises. Excellent response, service and pricing.

I heard a noise from my son's air conditioning vent and they came out right away and took care of the issue.

The service went fine. They had recommended one of our units needed replacing. That was when we got a quote from Costco that was less expensive than their quote.

It was an internal part to the furnace and since it they had a life time guarantee on workmanship and material they came in very promptly and politely replace the parts cleaned up and left I was very happy with their work. It was free and all he did was he asked me to sign something saying he had come there and done this work I assume because he had to return it to his job.

this provider has done my HVAC work for years. I have a service contract with them and I just renewed it. My issue is that I recently got an emailer that covered various topics. When I tried to contact them several times for more information on one of those topics, I have yet to get any type of response. Seems a little strange that someone wants information that would lead to more business yet they do not appear interested.

The sales people I kinda like them, that’s why I went with them. I would give them a B. For servicing I would them a C. The instillation was fine. The issues I had with Coolray and the reason I terminated my service contract with them was because they were coming out here to do the servicing and the guys who sold me the unit at the time make no mention of there being any issues with the warranty if I put a cage over my unit. It was during a time where people were stealing air condition unit in my neighborhood. They were already coming out and doing routine servicing under the warranty and then once I had the cage installed, because of the type of cage I had they decided that they wanted me to pay for an extra guy to come out to help them remove the cage because they are saying it requires two people. So that’s what I had a problem with them with because I was actually under a service contract with them and no one mentioned that to me prior to me entering that contract with them. It’s kinda like they wanted to change things after I had signed the contract and that’s really why I would give them a C on the servicing part because I didn’t think it was right. One of the last times I had a guy came out to do warranty work I don’t think he was thorough as he should have been. He seemed to get irritated when I questioned about checking the outside. They were good about returning my contract money. I told the lady I wanted to be out and I told her what was going on and I didn’t approve that. She did try to work with me on that on that and I continued the contract with them for another year and them I said forget it. So they did try to work with me. I would use them again, I would make sure I got certain things documented.

During pre sale home inspection, it was noted that there were a couple pipes which were out of code and another needed repair. The repairs were scheduled promptly and workerws were prompt, professional and courteous.

I've used Coolray for a couple years now for my HV/AC servicing and always had a good experience using them. We had a blocked sewer line, and I requested they come out to snake the line. They should have told me their standard price is $518 dollars for snaking the line on the phone, because there was no way it was going to be under this cost. I still had to pay the $49.99 service visit for them just to come out and tell me this. Aside from not telling the cost prior to the visit, if you google the typical cost for unblocking a sewer line, this is on the MEGA high end for this type of service. This is in fact not even on any charts I could find for the cost of unblocking a sewer line. I don't blame the plumber at all for this, he showed me the papers with the standard prices. I just should have been told over the phone, and I would have saved my $49.99 and not wasted time with them.

Quality seems pretty good. I have no issues. They're on time. They have good service.

They were pretty good. Their pricing was comparable to everyone else. When we first got them, we were going from a different company. So, we did not know what to expect. I was not sure what they were going to do. I was kind of leery.

The installation team did a fantastic job! They showed up promptly as scheduled and inspected the existing systems, put down drop cloths on the carpets, and informed us what to expect for the rest of the day. They split up, working on removing both inside and outside units. They finished removing one unit completely so that they could start the installing the new unit, and simultaneously began removing the other unit. The first unit was completed and turned on about 5 hours after they started, and the second unit was completed about 2 hours later. The crew did a great job cleaning up before they left. Overall it was a great experience, with a very courteous, experienced crew.

Thank goodness I bought extended warranty because I have had nothing but issues. Freon has leaked 2-3 times and it took several trips to fix it as they kept missing the leak. Now a brand new thermostat has failed. They are quick to respond on service calls but that's probably because there cause so many issues!!! i will never use them again and spend hours waiting for yet another technician to show up and fix something in a brand new system!!

Nothing done except the free estimate which I rejected.

We were very pleased with the installation. The installers, Henri and Chris were excellent and efficient ( and it was a complicated job in our old house, which required replacing ductwork in the attic). The sales consultant Dustin was also friendly and professional. We feel like we made a good investment in choosing to upgrade our system with Coolray. They aren't the least expensive, but the service and financing options made it worth it.

Mike was in and to the point and had us up and running. I know he had to be exhausted since he didn't get here until almost 9 pm. But he got it done quickly and professionally.

We have used them 8-10 years. I was not real pleased with the installation. It was a sloppy installation but then the service guy cleaned it up. The pricing was good. We had shopped it around and we felt they were the best price. We ended up switching from another company since the pricing was significantly better. It was just done in kind of a sloppy manner. I hate to say it but then companies tend to put their rookies on installation and the top notch guys are the ones out in the field doing repairs. He slapped mastic on the whole side of the furnace and made it look worse. He did not fix the leak he could have been fixing with the tape or something. They fixed it somewhat but when the service guy came out a few months later to do the semi annual tune-up he looked at it and said we need to fix this. He went back to the owners to tell them how bad the job was. It functioned but it was just not a nice neat installation. It is not one you would want to take a picture of and put in the brochure.

We've used Coolray for the last 8 or 10 years probably. I have purchased a 5 year contract so I don't pay anything when they come out unless there's something out of warranty that needs to be repaired. The one thing that they did for us that I was not real pleased with was an installation of a new system probably about 8 years ago.

They are prompt with arrival times, I've been more than satisfied with their work each time, they have excellent work ethics and competitive prices. I like that more than anything else, they've always done what they said they were going to do.

I bought a service contract with Coolray over the summer to clean and maintain both my furnace and air conditioning unit. They came today to clean the furnace and found that the blower motor capacitor needed to be replaced. The technician removed and tested the capacitor to show me that it was operating much lower than tolerance. This was adding undue stress to the motor and eventually would cause the blower to fail once it wore out completely. I really appreciated the time he took to explain the problem and validate the need for the repair. I know the work was done right and is guaranteed.

Steve and David arrived at about 8:30am ready to go to work. Furnace and coil located in crawl space, condenser is outside back. They worked steadily until lunch and then steadily until about 7:30pm. They were working directly under where my wife was working from home, and she could hear talking, but we expected that, and we could hear that they never sounded frustrated or in a hurry, and neither used any offensive language, and they did not argue or raise their voices at each other. This was important to me, as I have heard service techs do those things, and it does not reflect well on their company. I had always heard that Coolray techs were pretty...well...Cool! And these guys represented their company well. I couldn't have asked for better installers! After they finished the install, they made sure every piece of anything that looked like trash was removed from our driveway and yard, where the old system had been put to load onto their truck. They even went around with a flashlight making sure no screws or small items were on the driveway or in the yard where we might drive over them with our car or lawnmower. Steve showed us how to use the MyInfinity thermostat, which is really cool because I can control the system from work or anywhere. He walked me through connecting to my wireless internet and spent a lot of time helping me program the touchscreen, even though he was obviously tired from about 10 hours of work. Then we sat and signed the paperwork, and he went over everything with us, making sure we were completely satisfied with their work. Those guys did an excellent job, and I am glad they were empowered by Coolray to get the job done right because there were several ducts in poor shape, and rather than nitpicking about extra money to get them fixed, they simply replaced several air supply lines and returns so that the system would be properly installed. That was actually not a part of what we paid for, and it could have been a sore spot if they had stuck the the word of the contract. They showed me what they were doing extra and got my approval before they did it, and I didn't even have to ask whether or not it would cost extra because they told me ahead of time that they weren't charging for that. Completely professional installation. I rated the cost B only because I still can't believe we paid that much for an HVAC system, but it is a REALLY nice one, and I know they came down several times on the price because we had gotten a competitive bid from another company.

I made a service call to Coolray because my air conditioner was not blowing cool air. I scheduled a tech to come out to fix the problem. The tech shows up and spends over 2 hours working, and says the main problem was that there was a bad capacitor that needed replacing, but he would also do a thorough inspection of everything with the air unit on the outside of the house and also on the inside. The final price was about $500. Now, 30 days later, the unit is messing up again and leaking water in the basement. So I call Coolray and they send another tech out for an additional $89 that says this problem has been here a long time, but they could repair it for $2,800. After the shock, I just tell them, ?Well, for that type of money I would be better off getting a new unit?and plus, you all should not be charging me for this 2nd visit since the 1st tech did not even discover this ?long-needed? fix? So I told them I did not trust them at this point, and feel like I would buy a new unit from anyplace other than Coolray. Well, to get to the happy ending, I decided to get a 2nd opinion by calling a company called One Hour Heating & Air. They came out, checked the unit?and then literally pulled parts and pieces of metal outside to repair?. And fixed the unit with a warranty/guarantee of work for less than $300.

Shawn, the technician, does a great job! Very professional. show up on time. They give advice on future repairs. They don't push me into doing things I don't need done.

My air conditioner stopped working Friday night, I called Coolray on Saturday morning and they said they could give me a "fit in" appointment for Sunday for $109. Sunday morning a service man came out and said my air conditioner could not be re-started, plus my furnace was so old they would have to replace both. I asked him how much it would cost, he said they would send another guy out to do an estimate, but he would guess $5000. The guy who gave the estimate acted as if it was a done deal and gave a price of $5,107 for a Carrier Comfort furnace and A/C. The next day I called Weldon?s Comfort and they gave me an estimate of $4,344 for the exact same model of Carrier Comfort furnace and A/C plus they threw in a Carrier programmable thermostat and a PROTECH 5 in High Efficiency Whole-House Media Air Cleaner I went with Weldon?s Comfort on the replacement and they did a great job.

We have an agreement with them going forward. It was a simple fix thankfully. They were very easy to schedule. I have used them for heat duct cleaning. The workers are very knowledgeable and professional.
