Coolray Heating & Air Conditioning

Remarkably, all the work was completed in one day, which I wasn't expecting.Everything went fine. Work crew was here when they said they'd be. Very professional. Cautious of being clean and not disturbing areas they weren't working in. I'd say they could have done better job of testing systems after install b/c after they left I discovered the upstairs air didn't blow cold. I called Coolray and they had a tech come out the next day and discover a fuse for the compressor had blown. He promptly replaced it and everything has been working great since.

Noticed that outside fan was not coming on when I would turn the system on. The house ventilation system would kick on but the circulated air was not cold. Tech did an inspection and determined a capacitor had blown. Replaced it and I have a cooooool house again!

Two separate service agents out to repair, first one said to bid a project for him. The second came 3 days later and worked for 2 hours to find that it's not a warranty repair and that a third rep will need to come out for estimate as repair will require ripping out drywall and flooring. This rep could not come for another 2 days. Repair was never made by CoolRay as they were going to be charging in the 1000's after I've already paid $350. I called another company to take a look and ultimately fix before coolray's third rep came.

Work was done on time in a professional and courteous manner.

I was leaving for vacation so the people at Coolray went the extra mile and ordered the part for me and installed it in my absence. I was very happy with this although the price was a little steep. For personal reasons I decline giving out the size of the unit or the space it covers. I will say that they were professional and very dedicated to seeing I was satisfied with their work.

They did a fantastic job and I was very pleased. They really exceeded my expectations in completing the work. It didn't take them a long time and they made sure to keep the price reasonable. I was satisfied and I would recommend them to other people any time.

I have a Trane air conditioner and I was worried how well the unit would hold up in the winter. Cool Ray came out and winterized the unit and covered it and said they would be here when I call in the spring to make sure it is running perfectly. They make me feel like they are looking out for me.

I was so satisfied by the customer service and actual work done by this company, I am going to buy their maintenance service contract. They placed a special cover on their shoes when they entered my home, came on time, were extremely courteous and fixed the problem very quickly.

It was a pleasure to work with these people. The salesman was punctual and honest. I received 6 estimates and he was the only one who gave me a fair price in the beginning (not the lowest, but a good value). No trying to sell me expensive upgrades or bogus claims about how much money I could save on energy with systems that cost much, much more. I had done extensive research and had a good idea of what type of systems I needed. He looked the house over listened to me and then quoted a price. The installation went great. The installers were on time and took excellent care of my house. When they left after two days of work, you couldn't tell that they had been here except the house was much more comfortable. I have had a couple of occasions to deal with different people in their company since the installation and they treat you just as well after you have paid your money. Just very nice people.

From the beginning we were very impressed with Cool-Ray. We had called another company we found on Angie's List on a Saturday and were promised a phone call within two hours. On Sunday, after repeatedly trying to make contact with the non-responsive other company, we decided to call Cool-Ray. The service technician from Cool-Ray, Dale Perry, was at our house within two hours of our call, gave us a quote of almost $1,800 to replace our compressor which they would be able to do within two days. After signing a service contract with them, they completed the work requested for half the original price because they discovered there should have been an existing warranty on my unit. Although the manufacturer did not honor the warranty, Cool-Ray did. They were professional and very punctual. The customer service surpassed expectation. I would recommend them to anyone!

We are happy with the work Coolray did for us. They came to our home and gave us a detailed estimate. We also received a discount because we joined their service plan. We have a maintenance agreement that is lifetime repair warranty with two annual service visits and 24 hour emergency service. They charge $130 for their service agreement.

My A/C froze up & I had no idea what the problem was. It is 14 years old. I called in the morning & they came same day in afternoon. Turns out a cable had broken loose & blocked the fan from spinning. Also a contact had burned out, so they replaced that. For all I knew, he could have told me I needed a whole new unit & I wouldn't have had a clue. So the whole job was completed in 20 minutes & only cost $153. He also left me the bad contact part, which was more evidence of their honesty.

Be careful!! Estimate given was over twice what other contractors on Angie's list quoted. When I called the company to ask why their estimate was so much higher, they stated they were competitive with other companies. When asked to have a supervisor call me back, no one contacted me. Do your research before using this contractor.

Excellent experience. No corners cut with the installation. Good clean up job. Company representatives were very professional and responsive.

The service tech was on time. He explained the problems with both heaters and was able to fix on the spot. He was professional and courteous. The part that was needed for one heater was higher than I might have thought--however, in all fairness, I may have been suffering from sticker shock. Also, I still don't understand why my Angie's list coupon didn't work--he tried to explain it, but I still don't get it. I would suggest clarifying this (if a coupon is still offered) when you make your appointment.

Calling CoolRay was the smartest thing we did. Not only did they give us an accurate quote, but they described the exact work and procedures in detail so that we could easily compare their service to others when we called around price shopping. Needless to say they were the best value we found.

Tech repaired insulation and reworked ???(copper tube thing) without cost. When I bought the house, I got a $200 discount to repair that!

After receiving 5 bids from very respectable companies in Atlanta, I felt that Coolray had the best solution, most knowledgeable people, best value proposition, and a very good price. They found issues with my current installation that four other companies failed to identify. They also provided a practical solution by not replacing items in good working order and not ''up-selling'' features that have no payback. The others provided their canned solution and ignored my situation and preferences. My advice - focus on the right solution first - then find the best price for that solution.

They were excellent. They came and did good work at a reasonable price, and showed up when they said they would.

I was happy with them - they gave me a good price! They were very responsive, got the job done fast. I can't evaluate the quality because I don't know enough about heating and cooling installation. The salesmen did a good job of explaining everything and working with me to determine what would be the best priced heating and cooling system for me, and their best price beat other companies lowest prices. Overall they give good service.

The install was scheduled after an on-site consultation with a sales rep who was very professional. He gave us some options for cooling/heating a house with a smaller furnace (2-story house needs a big furnace/A/C or dual units). The installers arrived on time and did a good job installing the new furnace unit. They did not add the extra vents/ducting to an upstairs office that the salesperson had recommended simply because it was, in their opinion, not going to be effective. In the spring, we had our first A/C unit visit (they included the non-CoolRay unit in the service agreement for the first year). The technician did a poor job of prepping the A/C unit and required a tech supervisor to come out on a 2nd visit to do the proper annual maintenance. Additionally, the furnace was partially dismantled a few months after the install to deal with a water leak issue due to a crooked coil pan. No other problems with the install so far. Waiting on 2nd service visit before renewing.

Work and serviceman were great; on time, clean, etc. Estimate was total price (no hourly wage provided even though over 95% was labor) after being told may take 2 days to complete. I had previously purchased almost all black pipe parts needed. Work completed in less than 10 hours (including lunch break) making price exorbitant (charge ended up being over $125 per hour for one man). Work was very good but not sure I would pay such a high charge again unless absolutely necessary.

Job took over three hours, and was performed very well. Price was really too low for amount of labor. I took on a five year service contract since I was so pleased with the work and value. I had an estimate from our previous HVAC contractor that was over $600, even though electrical, most duct-work, and plumbing was already done. CoolRay seems to be very sensible, fair, and honest.

Arrived late due to traffic. Job was done right the first time. I have a lot of brushes near the A/C unit and technician did not mind helping out cutting some of those branches off. Recommended.

I did a yearly service agreement for around $130.
