I am on the cusp of a difficult dilemma. I am not sure how to say this so I will just go step by step. I had my pool deck leveled along with stone steps being stabilized. I did extensive research talked to a lot of people. I called Aquaguard and they sent out a System Design Specialist. His name is Zach; he was extremely knowledgeable, professional and a very nice guy. We went over the deck and discussed what I could expect and not expect. I knew from all their reviews and their website they really go out of their way to make sure you know what they can and cannot do. I knew from my research their people where skilled. I signed the contract t and gave Zach the deposit. About a month later they marked and mapped out the pipes. Every person I came in contact with was professional. I was notified prior to appointments they were coming. The workmen arrived on the scheduled date and time; they said we contacted them at the perfect time. Our deck needed work but we did not let it go for years before we called them. The two men knew there stuff. Initially the deck was set up to have about 60% of the deck worked on. I did however tell Zach to put into the contract specifically that if they decided it might be better to do the other areas after the initial ones specified, to do it and that would be fine. I left it up to them, they were the professionals. They did in fact do the entire deck plus we had them stabilize a set of steps that came up to the deck. Everything looked great and the work was exemplary. The total cost was $4,836.45. For us that is a lot of money however in this case it was money well spent. One reason for choosing Aquaguard was the reviews. I had read some where they came back out for adjustments and the like. It has been a month and today I was out walking the deck there was one small area that seemed much lower compared to the rest of the deck. It was at the end of the deck. I got a flashlight and found a good size empty space between the deck and the ground that had not been filled. I called Zach and explained the issue and he was here in an hour. He took a look and agreed that it did need to be done. He measured the area and we were talking. Then he said that he was going to work on the cost. I was surprised. I told him I thought this was covered. The workmen missed a spot. those things happen but I didn’t think I would have to pay to have it completed. The reason I had it put specifically in the contract was so this would not happen He told me that he would do his best to keep the price down. The issue I had did not fall within the parameters of the warranty. He was correct; there had not been any shifting or problems with the work that had already been done. I knew they were the company I wanted to do the work. They have the best product, (in my opinion), and they would do it right. However after almost $5,000.00 another $2,000.00 is huge. One small area was missed I had planned on the initial work and possible extra work. It was the very reason I specified if they felt the extra areas needed to be done, they had the option to do it then rather than come back again. That is why I wanted it added to the contract so this would not happen. There I stood, and it was happening to the tune of $2,000.00. What else can I do? No one else could do it like they do. I am just disappointed about this. That said… It’s a great company and this is a strange review. UPDATE: Somehow, unbeknownst to me they caught hold of this review much quicker than I could have imagined. They were on top of it immediately. I received a call from there sales manager over the Concrete Division, Blake, the day after the remnants of Zeta hit Atlanta. Many people, including myself were still dealing with power outages.Right out of the gate he apologized profusely for what was a misunderstanding on his part between Zach, the project specialist and himself. He mistakenly understood it to be a new project separate from the already existing work. When he realized what the error was he called me to tell me that there would be absolutely no charge what so ever and to again please accept his apology. I was assured that everything would be taken care of ASAP. Within an hour of the call my Visa was credited the deposit. Within two hours I received another call from Zack, the specialist with yet another apology and assurance that he had no idea at the time that there was in fact a communications issue. He had told me that the job was to take place the day before Thanksgiving. Within an hour of that I was informed by their scheduling department that the job had been rescheduled for the following Tuesday. Five days from then. As a retired business owner myself I must say it was nothing shy of impressive. Not just the acknowledgement but the speed and efficiency with which the overall logistics involved in making everything right was on point. I don’t know what more to say outside of Well Done. If I had kids I would want them to babysit for them. I knew there was a reason I went with this company. They do in fact set a standard that most could only strive for. If it were possible I would give them 6 stars.

My basement was a hot mess! It flooded so badly that my hot water heater's pilot light often went out. It would take days for the pilot light ignition to dry out and for me to be able to relight it so that we could have hot water again. AquraGuard to the rescue! I called AquaGuard and I was sent a hero whose name was Robbie. Robbie came out, looked at my basement and was able to give me a schematic detailing exactly what I needed to have done to get my basement dry and safe. Robbie connected me with Cody, another person at AquaGuard. Cody explained to me that financing was available for anyone who needed it. What a blessing! I did get estimates from other companies, but AquaGuard came in with the highest recommendations and most reasonable price for the extent of work needed. Because my house was going on to the market for sale AquaGuard was able to expedite the project start date. Thank goodness! It took 3 full days for the project to be completed and I couldn't have asked for a better team! The men who came out were Raphael (Foreman) , Jared (Co-Foreman), Marcus, and Daniel. They were kind, professional, and courteous. They even allowed me to ask questions as the work progressed. They were kind enough to stop and teach me everything that they were doing. It did not seem to slow their work at all. Even the electrician, David, that AquaGuard sent out to install a designated outlet for the new sump pump was delightful. Today my basement is dry and it looks like a completely new area...because it is! I highly recommend AquaGuard to anyone who has any problems with basement flooding.

called Aquaguard with Structural Engineer report in hand to ask for someone to meet for a quote while we are still in due diligence phase they said they could not come out apparently they are above all other contractors that have come out to give an estimate they were suggested by a great contact and friend but I have no idea if their work is good or not since I would be the one to pay them but they wanted the owner of the house who did not disclose these issues to call when reviewed by management please know I called twice to make sure I was told the correct info

Excellent communication at time of estimate. Quick follow-up with scheduling and information for day of work. Two installers were timely, appropriately friendly, focused and efficient during three hours of work. Areas needing leveling were leveled as needed. Used AquaGuard at another house in 2016 which is why I called on them again.

I had water coming in my basement. I had hired unprofessional people to fix the problem to save money but they took my money and the issue was not solved. I decided to find a professional. I was stressed because mold was beginning to grow and that is unsafe. Because of the pandemic I was in the house most of the time. I called AquaGuard. They sent me ALBERT MARRERO. He did a complete investigation. Explained step back step. He made me feel good about the money I was about to send and promise me a lifetime warranty. KEN PERCIVAL and his crew did a clean professional job. They were on time each day. They covered my belongings so they wouldn’t get damaged. The basement was spotless and free of debris when they left. He took time to explain step by step how my system work. Now I have a piece of mind. I was not asked to give this review. I volunteered.

I had a drain system installed by Aquaguard several years ago. I was very dissatisfied & unhappy with their customer service, contractors & the state they left my house in. At that time I wrote a negative review based on my experience & was totally surprised when the owner of the company reached out to me to express his concern, but also to ask if I would remove the comment. I was kind of impressed that the took the time to call & that he also promised to send someone out for my first year of maintenance at no charge. I was not impressed for long as he did not keep his word. He basically called to get the review removed so his mission was accomplished. Fast forward to present day where I still have the same problem that I had prior to spending the $5K for the drain installation. We called Aquaguard to come back out & they basically said that the the contractors should have installed 'vapor seal' to the concrete wall behind the dry wall when they installed the drain & that the dry wall would need to be taken out so that this could be done, at an additional cost to ME! Long story short, I've paid $5K for a drain system that is useless to my home because their salesman & contractors didn't do their jobs. It is literally raining inside of my wall, it's so ridiculous. I'm now having to contact one of their competitors to come out to my home to address the SAME problem that Aquaguard SHOULD have addressed years ago & I'll probably end up spending just as much again. I'm aware that they have great reviews however I'm one of their customers that would not refer Aquaguard to my worst enemy!

When pier installed the corner was raised too far and damage resulted to ceiling of porch. Aquaguard said that they wouldn't fix the damage as things like this happen when they raise concrete slabs (initially raised to far then back down to proper height). The crack that was created when the porch settled created uneven levels of the slab. structural foam applied to underside of slab to level the concrete. Level still uneven after foam applied but I guess it's stable (no more settling). Crack still needs to be filled with a patching compound and leveled by myself. Some grinding of the concrete will be needed to make everything as level as possible. Would I hire again? they are the only company I could find that will do this kind of repair.

Hi [Member Name Removed], Thanks for reaching out, and we're sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with the work performed. As you mentioned, the structure is now stable, so the primary problem was addressed and structural integrity of the foundation restored. Unfortunately, concrete, stone, and wood (as the home appears to be via the photos provided) are very inflexible materials and can thus crack. If you remain unsatisfied or think additional work or restitution need to be addressed, feel free to reach out to our Service Department at (770) 419-9111, and they can schedule a reactive service appointment to determine if any additional repairs are needed or opportunities exist to improve the situation. Thanks, AquaGuard Management

AquaGuard was the last of 6 companies to give me a quote to waterproof my basement. They were 1 of 3 companies that had a similar system of cutting interior drains and channeling the water that comes in through to a sump pump to pump it out. They were the most expensive of the three, but the quote they gave me was the most personalized (you actually choose what you want of what they recommend), and they are BBB recognized unlike the other two, with lifetime warranties (also not available from the other two. I question their judgment of using the Trust Dale seal (that guy is a hack), but everything else outweighed that piece. I did not like paying a deposit. Having worked in the residential construction industry, we were taught that was a no-no, but since this company wasn't a fly-by-night mom and pop, I decided it was ok and they probably wouldn't run off with my money (but I still didn't like it). I was told I would receive a call to schedule the work in the next 24 hours. It took a week. I got very nervous that they stole my money, and the lady on the phone said the sales guy hadn't entered it into the system yet. Anyway, it finally got scheduled, and I got numerous reminders via text, email, and phone. I appreciated that. Day-of construction arrived, and Peyton's crew was punctual and polite. We encountered a problem with one part of their plan upon initial inspection, but a guy on the crew figured out a fix. I was super impressed with his knowledge. They jacked up my floor without cracking the tile - they're VERY careful with it. Some of my walls did crack, but per their consultation and paperwork, it was expected. Putty and paint are all I need to fix it. I'm considering buying a couple more support beams because I'm so impressed with the work. The house got dusty from all the work, but it was also expected. The AquaGuard sales guy and crew did a very good job of setting expectations. Peyton and the team finished a few hours earlier than expected. They cleaned up very well. They showed me everything they did and answered all my questions. They even put my landscaping rocks back where they were after burying the pipe. The only thing that was weird about the job being done is that they didn't charge my card for like a week. I had to ask them twice to do it. Weird. Anyway, I would definitely recommend them if this is the type of basement waterproofing you're looking for.

I had these folks look at a basement rack leak in October and after back and forth negotiating via phone and email I agreed to allow them to do the work. The salesperson took a $920 deposit on 10/19/2017 and said he’d e sign it for me. Apparently he did so and emailed me a contract that had my name “signed” to it but is not my signature because I haven’t signed Anything at all. They scheduled it for December 13 and I wasn’t happy about waiting so long but I felt sorta stuck. I couldn’t get on the schedule without a deposit. I had another company come out and their price was actually lower for a similar solution and they can do it in a week. My Aquaguard salesperson bad mouthed this other company something fierce and said I shouldn’t trust them. After a day or so I requested the $920 refund from Aquaguard and I was informed that I didn’t cancel within 3 days of the agreement I signed so I can’t get the refund. Say what? I didn’t sign anything! He e signed it. I told him that wasn’t acceptable but he is a nice guy so I’m continuing to negotiate a lesser solution that comes with a 10 year Warranty instead of lifetime with him. The more I think about it the more I don’t think I can trust Aquaguard. They actually think I’ll let them hold the $920 deposit hostage so I’ll agree to some deal for them to do the work which is scheduled for 5 more weeks from now ? And I went back and looked at all my email. The cancellation agreement that was attached to the agreement he e signed is the only version of any of the quotes that had a cancellation agreement on it. A cancellation agreement or a 3 day cancellation was Never mentioned and I had no idea one of those would be sneaked into the deal and put into a final version of their agreement but no previous versions that were emailed to me, and then e signed without my actual signature and no mention of the added piece of paper that said I only have 3 days to cancel so I completely missed the cancellation agreement because I had no idea they’d do that. Now, I’m posting this review, I’m also posting a google review and I’m going to file a BBB complaint and call the state Attorney General’s Office to report What I consider to be unscrupulous. I very likely would have wound up using them for this lower cost solution, and still might, but I absolutely will not finalize any new agreement with them attempting to basically steal my $920 deposit or use it as leverage to get me to let them do some work for me. I’ll post an update when the situation changes because I refuse to be taken advantage of

They arrived on time and seemed responsive. That quickly changed... First off - I appreciate that this is a hard job. Breaking concrete, carrying it out by hand, etc... is back breaking work. Here are the issues... 1) they took no effort to minimize dust and debris from the demolition. The basement turned into a cement factory for a week. The dust came up through the HVAC into the home. 2) the workers complained about the concrete - it was harder than expected. Thus more dust, more time and some extra "charges". 3) the concrete work looks like 5-year-olds completed it. It's uneven and broken in spots. Our framer was concerned about the impact of finishing the basement. 4) so the KICKER - they failed to glue together the pipes that pumped out the water. So when the pump collected 13 gallons of water - it proceed to dump it on the floor of the basement and most of our electronics equipment. All of this for $11K. Don't hire these guys...
Description of Work: I contracted with AquaGuard for basement waterproofing system. They dig a 6" trench around the interior perimeter and install a water pump on the run to pump any water collected outside.

It was expensive. Their professionalism was an "A+".
Description of Work: They put in a drain because they thought there was a finger leak into our basement, and that didn't fix it. They had to dig up the drain from the drain spout came off the roof, and found out the drain was draining into the french drain. When that was full, it would overflow into the house. They reconnected it, and hopefully now it's good.
