Our septic field was creating a wet spot in the yard and then started to smell after the rains. We scheduled JC Septic (based on AngiesList ratings) to take a look at the work needed and the cost. Jason gave us an estimate for the repair and an estimate for replacement. We decided to give the repair a shot and go from there. The replacement cost made the repair the first option but as Jason pointed out there was no guarantee the repair could be made without see what was under the ground. I never felt pressured to go one direction or the other. Jason gave me the realistic options available. To place the field line in working order was going to cost some money. There was no way around it. The field line was going to be repaired or replaced. On the scheduled day Jeff, Jason, and Tony arrived on time and fully prepared to make the repair. (I mention fully prepared because eight years ago I hired a different company who left the septic tank uncovered and ran out to get supplies for a different repair in the septic tank.) Back to this review of JC Septic. After pumping the septic tank they started the repair. They knew what they were doing and completed the job. I was lucky the the last section of my field line was a working order to make the repair. I had a lot of questions during the work and they took the time to answer each one. I also want to note that several large rocks were dug up. Jeff carefully placed them in a section of my landscaping where I had several other large rocks I has dug up. I was great to see that level of detail and clean up. In the end the actually cost of the repair was slightly lower than the estimate. How many times does that happen? JC Septic is very professional and knowledgeable. I'll call on them again when needed.

Jeff was the most professional contractor I have had at my home. He was honest, arrived early and completed the scheduled work and corrected additional work by himself the same day. We would highly recommend his service. He's the best.

We had the typical septic backup in the house...it could have been worse, however). I looked on Angie's List and picked JC Septic because they had great reviews. After a brief call in to their office, I was contacted by Jason Chambers. He came by promptly and set up an appointment to drain the septic tank and see if the drain field was functioning (it wasn't). He explained the approval process for my county and told me how long it would take to clear the county paperwork and do the job which included digging several very deep ditches and laying pipe.. He was very professional and understanding. They started the job on time and finished on time with no fuss. Their customer service is great and the work they did was top notch...no hassle.

We used JC Septic for a septic inspection on a home that we made an offer on. Jeff was responsive to all of my phone calls, showed up on time and was a true professional. Jeff and his son spent over an hour performing a thorough inspection of the system. As an added bonus (and without us having to ask) they even cleaned the outlet filter. I've use other septic service companies in the past and I'll have to say that JC Septic is the best of the best. If we end up purchasing this home, I'll use JC Septic for all of my septic needs.

Septic tank field lines were unusable. JC identified repairable field lines and reconnected them. He knew I had dogs and he went the extra step and put down wheat straw so that my dogs would not track unearthed dirt, mud and sludge into the ouse. He responded very timely on the initial contact. He gave me an estimate which he kept to, made the necessary arrangements for the utilities companies to come out and mark the lines, told me when he would be by to do the work and also completed the work on that day. Very honest, professional, dependable and reliable. He gave me a money back guarantee. What more could you ask for. We are living a normal life once again thanks to JC Septic Service. I would recommend him to anyone on or off Angie's list. I have already told some of my neighbors. Thank you Angie's List for the recommendation.

Rain was in forecast, but they thought they could fit in my job along w/another previously scheduled nearby. They called and verified time that morning. Work was done on time and they let me know what to look for on next visit in couple of years. Very satisfied.

I called JC Septic Service on 2/26/13 and asked them to come on 2/27/13 anytime after 3:00pm. Jeff Chambers and his son, Jason, arrived about 2:50pm on 2/27. They were looking over my property when I noticed them. I went out and introduced myself. Jeff had a diagram of my septic system on his smart phone. Amazingly, Jeff was the contractor who had installed my septic system 30 years earlier! The drain field of the original system included 400 feet of perforated pipe that snaked from the front yard to the back yard. Jeff explained that roots from a large maple tree in the front yard had probably blocked the drain field within 20 feet of the septic tank. He explained several options to fix my problem and I selected one that used newer technology called infiltrator chamber system. The newer technology required only 260 feet of drain field and could be installed entirely in the front yard. Jeff gave me a written quote and a brochure which explained how the new system worked. After reviewing the quote and brochure, I e-mailed Jeff a few questions. Jeff responded promptly and answered my questions clearly. After reviewing other quotes, I selected Jeff. We met on 3/2/13, signed the contract, and I gave him a check for 50% of the contract price. He said only the property owner can request a permit from Gwinnett County Environmental Health (GCEH), but that he would pay for the permit and inspection. He gave me GCEH's phone number and asked me to call them to request the permit. He explained the process and said it would take several weeks for GCEH to come out and inspect our property before they would issue the permit. In the meantime, Jeff called the water, gas, telephone, and cable companies to have them mark their underground locations. Jeff also e-mailed me the phone number of a landscape contractor who would be able to reseed the front yard after the new drain field was covered up. On 3/12/13, Jeff e-mailed me that he had the permit and suggested two dates for the install. We agreed on 3/14/13. They showed up about 9:45am on 3/14/13. Jeff explained that we would be without water for about half a day, so we filled jugs and a bathtub with water. Using shovels and a backhoe, Jeff?s crew began the excavation for the drain field. Either Jeff or Jason was always present to supervise the project. The crew finished digging about 5:00pm and turned the water back on. I was amazed at the volume of dirt they had excavated. The next day (3/15), the GCEH inspector arrived about 10:00am, mapped the new drain field layout, measured the elevation at various points in the drain field, and approved the job. By 10:15am, one man, operating a Bobcat front loader, began backfilling the drain field trenches and roughly smoothing out the dirt. He finished about 11:30am and Jason spread straw over the bare earth. The whole job was complete by 11:45am and I gave Jason a check for the other 50% of the contract price.

They were very prompt, professional and informative, as well as very kind and pleasant. The owner arrived with the techs and assisted them, answered all of my questions and made sure my yard was put back just as they found it. They were completely up front about what they would do and how much it cost. The owner called the day before to confirm the appointment and they were exactly on time the next day. I'm not sure how they manage to smile while cleaning septic tanks but they do! Great company, wonderful people!

JC Septic Company was the third company to give me a quote on service to repair my septic system. I had been having issues with flooding in the backyard and toilets overflowing. The first company that was contacted pumped out the septic system and recommended that I put in French drains, which I did. The backyard continued to flood and the toilets continued to overflow. The first company said that I needed to replace the septic system, which would cost $7,500. I got 2 more estimates. The second company based their estimate on the course of action recommended by the first company, and they were right around $7,500 as well. JC Septic Company came in, did a little digging and said that the system did not need to be replaced because there was a root that was cutting off the septic pipes. They gave me a quote for $1,595 and came back and did the work the next day to remove the root. They were very professional and efficient. They are a family-owned business, and the grandson of the founder still runs the business. In fact, the grandfather put the septic system in originally, which we found out when they came out to give me the estimate. I have had no issues since with the septic system - it has been almost 3 months. I highly recommend them!

The team from JC septic were very professional and the quality of the work excellent. They originally pumped one tank and inspected the other. For one tank they found that the field lines needed to be replaced, as I suspected. For the other they found that the pipe from the house was full of roots but that the field lines were fine. they did not try to sell me something I did not need. I chose them to replace the field lines and put in a new pipe in front. They took care of all the permitting and came for the job on the day they said. Upon starting the job they found that one tank was in worse shape than originally thought yet they were still able to do the job and again did not try to sell me something that I did not need. I generally don't write reviews but these guys were great. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

They were excellent. The truck and equipment were clean as was the personnel. Service was prompt, clearly explained with no surprises.

Excellent job. Extremely sharp and knowledgeable . Old system had started to collapse and had to be dug up and replaced with new coffin. He delt with the county for drawings and permits. Kept it as clean as possible and help with saving the sprinkler system. He is coming back in the spring to finish the leveling. Would certainly use him again.

My septic tank needed pumping every 6 months. The company I had been using pumped it out one month ago and told me it would only last a week or two that I needed a new drain field. They said they'd charge me $1200.00. I knew something was fishy because I know a new drain field would be over $4000.00 in order to meet code. Well, the tank overflowed again. This time, though, I spent the $26 and joined Angie's List. It turns out to be the best money I've spent in a long time. With Angie's List I found JC Septic Service Inc. and now I couldn't be happier. They immediately told me that if I needed a new drain field it would cost $4400.00. But, he said to let him take a look first to see if something else was going on. As it turned out, he found an inappropriately installed filter. That was it. He made my day. They did what they were suppose to do.

I was very pleased with JC Septic Service. They showed up exactly on time (which was a HUGE, pleasant surprise) with contract services. I wasn't exactly sure of the location of our tank, but they found it easily. They pumped it out without any difficulties and even reported a possible plumbing problem (leak) that we should investigate later. I was very pleased with the punctuality and professionalism and their "no surprises" approach. I would use them again.

Everthing went very well. They serviced all 3 septic systems for the previously agreed price and did not try to upcharge me for additional services.

It was a positive experience - overall

I made a phone call to this company when my toilets overflowed and liquid started coming up in the bathtubs. The owner was very calm and reassuring on the phone. They showed up exactly when they said they would, approximately two hours later. They had everything with them. They opened the septic tank, which required the use of a backhoe. They were careful with my landscaping and shrubery which was right over the tank. They found the tank full of roots, and I mean giant roots. They had to climb down in the hole and use a saw to cut out the roots and haul them up with the back hoe. I was expecting to be told at any moment that I needed a whole new system. Instead, they laughed about it being the largest roots they had ever removed. And then they took the extra time to find out why I had such a problem. There was a gap in the original installation that had allowed the roots to enter. They got new pvc piping, which they had on the trucks with them, and repaired the line to the house without any extra charge. Then we decided together that pumping out the tank made sense and they took care of that too. This is the best experience I have had with a contractor in years. Three men came, it is a small family business. Everything was handled very calmly, very professionally, and with real respect toward me. I never felt pressured to make any decisions I didn't want to make and as a woman dealing with male contractors, this was wonderful. They cleaned up totally. You cannot even tell where they dug. I don't know how they made it look untouched, but it is great. The owner told me that he thought I'd like the sound of the toilet now much better and he was right. The entire experience was not cheap, but I feel they earned every penny and I felt really good about the work and the way I was treated. I would recommend this company to anyone. It's so nice to have such quality people come do a job that they know exactly how to do and handle it all so professionally. It was so nice that they had everything with them right then. This is one of the only times in using contractors that I had no feeling of concern or being overcharged or worried about quality of work.

In the 7 years we had lived in this house, the septic tank had not been pumped out. Since the house is 17 years old, we were concerned that it might be way over due. (as it turns out, they suggest doing a 1000 gal. tank every 5 years.) Our septic tank cleaning was a planned event . We were not having any issues. We decided to use JC Septic service because they were local and had decent Angie's List Reviews. Mr. Chambers arrived on time and found the tank lids almost as if he knew exactly where they would be. This is where 31 years in the business came in handy I guess. Upon inspecting the tank, (it was full), Mr. Chambers showed me the discharge "tee" that leads to the field lines. It was deteriorated to the point that it was falling apart to the touch. He explained it's importance and told me that it needed to be replaced. I asked him if he could do that work and he said yes so I let him handle it. It needed to be done while the tank was uncovered so it only made sense. It was definitely shot. He finished the pumping, replaced the tee and replaced all of the dirt and sod that had been removed to access the tank openings. He cleaned up and left no mess behind at all. I was surprised how small a "footprint" he left behind. He was very courteous and explained anything about which I had questions. I would definitely use his company again.

It was fine. I thought it would be a problem because the tank is really far away from the driveway and there is no way to drive closer to the tank. They had to use a really long hose and it worked just fine.

Overall a very good experience. JC was responsive when we called to make the appointment. They arrived n time and were very professional. JC answered all our questions and was thorough ad diligent while performing the work. Although the price was a little higher than some of the others, there were no hidden or additional fees and we felt the extra dollars were money well spent. I would use JC again.

Septic tank backed up into the tub. I went to Angie's List to find a good company to empty it. JC Septic Service was able to come out the same day. They arrived at the time they said they would, located the tank, emptied it & replaced the dirt in about 2 hours.

Very professional service. We needed to have our septic tank pumped and that was handled on time and very quickly. We will use JC again in the future.

I spoke with Jeff the night before the service was performed. We sheduled the service. Jason called and was ready even earlier than planned so we met him at home. They performed the service while we looked on. Jason explained the process every step of the way. When they were finished the pipes from the house were flowing freely again. Jason was very polite and professional. I would highly recommend them.

Upon inspection septic lines had collapsed. Mr. Chambers met manufacture to determine cause. Manufacture decided to pay for full replacement of lines. Mr. Chambers also agreed to greatly reduced cost of labor. He completed work in a timely manner. His son and workers were very professional and careful with our lawn an thed plants when digging.
