Description of Work: he came to my home and told me that my carpet would not be cleaned with just a regular service. I explained the carpet was less than a year old, and the stains would not come up. He had already explained that it may cost more than estimated, and then it was. I could not afford the new price, which was more than double.

Description of Work: Initially purchased deal back in December and tried to schedule appointment in January. Provider requested that I take pictures of carpet stains which I did and texted to him. I asked for estimate for additional charges, if any, but was not provided quote. Another month or so passed and called to schedule this prepaid service in March. Again inquired about any additional charges above big deal coupon with no response to add'l charges. Final time, called to arrange for service in May. Had to resend carpet photos, then was told $15 extra for pre-stain treatment per room and informed of other recommended services. Was also informed by Jeff that Atlanta Rug Scrubbers is no longer with Angie's List. I've decided to request refund because I prefer to use a current Angie's List provider. It's important to note that I can not comment on the quality of actual carpet cleaning services since I did not receive these services.

Description of Work: After several cancellations of appointments and no shows the provider ultimately told me he would not honor the coupon i bought because he no longer worked with angie's list. i told him i had already paid money and he said i should contact angie's list to get my money back.

Description of Work: The service provider called to confirm the appointment and then got very angry when I asked him to explain the extra charges.

Description of Work: Service provider received many "F" reviews from other Angie List members after I purchased the "Big Deal" for both carpet cleaning and tile cleaning services. Tried to call the provider was cut off the first time, second time told me I needed to send him pictures of both my carpet and tile before he would come out and honor the "Big Deal." Provider was not very professional and this is not the appropriate manner for someone to conduct their business.

Description of Work: Jeff arrived as scheduled. After looking over bathroom floor said it would not take the sealant. Consequently, he just washed the two bathroom floors. He also cleaned the kitchen and den stone floors. I paid him with a check for $200.00. The coupon I had purchased was not taken off the price, nor redeemed by the provider.

Description of Work: He wanted me to take pictures of all the stains and email them. I just want my carpets cleaned. Too much up front work. Then, he has called numerous times which I've found to be a little inappropriate. I hope it stops.

Description of Work: The service provider when contacted by phone, never having been to our home, insisted that at the $129 price, he would not do the job unless we agreed to spend an extra $30 per room for two additional additives that would remove residue from the carpet. He stated that after 30 years of experience he was certain that this would be necessary as carpet residue builds. He further stated that he could not only not guarantee his work unless the $240 + for additives was agreed to, he would refuse to do the job period for the $129 as he was certain we would not be happy and he would get a negative rating. This again, without seeing our carpet. We are a retired couple with no children in the home and our carpet does not see heavy traffic. He also stated this was his first time using an Angie's List promotion and that he was most unhappy with his experience. We feel as though the provider was attempting to employee a Bait-and-Switch tactic and were most turned off by his attitude.

Description of Work: RIDICULOUS - fraudulent deal. When you purchase a deal, aren't you supposed to receive the services - not have to send pictures and then get a quote that you will owe more? This is fraudulent practice...if this company is going to run a deal, they need to stand by what they are offering or note in the deal that there will be additional charges involved. And his response was...I don't do half work.! So, I bought a deal for half the work ? Didn't see that any where in the deal description. like we said...RIDICULOUS.

Description of Work: I had to call after provider was over two hours late. He did say he had taken cold meds the night before and overslept. Tried to sell additional treatments for a pet area for $150. I chose an alternative area. He offered additional treatments for $30 an area, which I also declined. He did perform service quickly and carpet is drying quickly. Not the professional service I expected.
