1st Class Flooring

I am so impressed with the quality of work that these guys do!! I can't say it enough of how pleased we are with the work that they did. Very professional, kind and courteous. They explained the entire process to me as it was going on. I GREATLY appreciated that. NO ONE else will ever work on my floors but these guys (when I need the rest of the house done)!! Friendly doesn't even begin to describe these guys. Even though we are happy that they are done, we miss them being here everyday!! Even my 10yr old son said the same thing. He was full of questions for them and they were so polite and answered him every time!!!

Floors were re-done about 5 years ago by another provider and had a very poor surface with blotched staining. Tony and his crew came back in and redid everything. It now has a great finish and stain. Did work promptly and professionally. Had 1 minor problem they came back and fixed promptly. We used them earlier this year to place new wood floors in the master bedroom, and 2 large closets. They did such a good job we hired them to come back and do this second project, so obviously we thought they did a good job the first time. I gave them an excellent review on that service in May of this year also.

1st Class Flooring did a fantastic job refinishing our floors. Tony and his crew were punctual and professional. Tony demonstrated different stains and helped us make the right color selection. He used a dustless systm for sanding the old finish which was WONDERFUL. He communicated each step throughout the 3 days they were here. The floors are beautiful and we are so happy with the finished project. We had a very positive experience with 1st Class Flooring and can highly recommend.

Tony was very professional and courteous. He always showed up on time, was very clear in his explanation of the process and how long it would take. He charged exactly what he said he would, and finished the project in the amount of time orignially described (2 days). It is rare these days to find someone who will show up and do the job right, and Tony was a welcome exception. Showed up on time, worked their tails off. They are perfectionists, it will be done right and done quickly. They will work all day till 9pm if needed. He was more concerned about the floor than I was. The original floors were put down in the '60s and now they look new even though they had had 2 sets of carpet put on them with all the tack strips and staples etc. They matched the new floor with the old floor amazingly. Everything was done on schedule exactly as I was told. Less dust than I thought there would be. Even though they told me it was a low dust refinish, I didn't really believe it but it was fairly clean as far as dust goes.

1st Class Flooring did an outstanding job re-finishing our porch floor. This is the second time we have hired 1st Class Flooring to re-finish our floors. They have done an amazing job bringing the life back to the original wood floors in our home. The employees pay close attention to detail and are very knowledgable about all they do. 1st Class Flooring is very easy to work with, and we wouldn't hire anyone else to refinish the floors in our house.

I found 1st Class Flooring on Angie's list. I called, and Tony came for an estimate the next morning, on time. He had a VERY detailed estimate to me by the end of that day. He honored the 5% Angie's coupon, and added another 5% off to help with the price. The wood was delivered one week before so it could breathe in the house. When they started, those guys were there working hard every day, all day. Tony was always present. They always cleaned up after themselves, and left everything in perfect shape after just a week and half!! Tony called with any new information to make sure I was aware. He took the time that many people don't take anymore. We couldn't be happier with our choice!!

Tony and his team have recently completed a second project at my home and we could not be happier with their work. These guys are talented, professional, reliable and trustworthy. They went above and beyond to not only complete the job they were hired to do but to leave my home better than they found it both visually and structurally. In pulling up existing floor they found rot and damage. Tony took the time to not only explain the best course in fixing the problem but he documented everything in pictures so I was involved in the entire process. They replaced all the unexpected rot and still completed the job on time. My floors are absolutely gorgeous, not to mention the beautiful job he did on the moldings and trim. While these guys are probably not the cheapest quote you are going to receive, you do pay for what you get. With Tony you can expect the best.

My A/C pump overflowed and water seeped under my hardwoods causing them to crack and the prefinished top coat to change texture. Tony was extremely helpful in the repair process. It turns out my repair fell under his minimum so instead I sent him a few pictures and he gave me some steps on how to do the repair myself. I was very surprised at his willingness to help and I would use him if I ever needed my hardwoods replaced.

Couldn't be happier. Was shocked at how Tony and the guys were able to transform the house. After removing the vinyl and seeing all of the staples, nails, and who knows what on the floors, I thought the boards would have to be replaced or tile laid. Tony said not too worry. They worked with us on picking a stain and gave great advice on picking a finish. It's now 8 months later and our floors still look greater. So pleased to have chosen 1st Class Flooring for the job. Now in the process of hiring them again for another job.

Excellent work from beginning to end. Tony and crew work with enthusiasm and focus on the task at hand. They offer many great suggestions and follow through with everything we needed. Tony and crew make great effort to attend to every detail and they take pride in their work and the results. They even helped us with a couple of project here at our house that had nothing to do with flooring. Everyone who sees our beautiful floors make a positive comment about how nice the refinishing looks.

Tony is exactly the type of person you hope that you get when hiring out a home improvement job. He & his team are reliable, dependable, trustworthy and very talented. My husband and I just bought a new home and were not happy with the current floor color. Tony showed up on time, he was able to match the exact color that I wanted and we were able to basically give him the keys to our home for three days without disrupting our schedules. I have worked with several other contractors over the past few weeks and if I could hire Tony to do all my home improvement projects I would. We are already scheduled to have him come back and add more hardwood floors to our home.

Went very well. Tony and his crew were punctual, informative of their process and stuck to the price quoted for the original work. Even though their price was some higher than others their dustless process was great. There is minor dust for the work they had to do by hand but all mechanical sanding was essentially dustless. Their prep, staining and finish urethane provided a great finish product.

Tony and his crew just finished putting in new hardwood floors to replace carpet in our master bedroom and 2 large walk in closets. He was always on time and you can tell he takes pride in his work. He personally did or supervised every aspect of the job. My wife wanted some optional detail work and it looks great. She is very happy with the appearance and I am very happy with the quality. We got his name from using Angie's list and are happy we did. He was also very competitive on his pricing. The quality of his work is definitely superior to some other hardwood floors we had done several years ago. Will definitely use him again for any additional flooring. Highly recommend.

Tony and his crew were great. They did everything we discussed. They left the house exactly they way I expected them to. They were fast and professional. Our neighbors have commented on how good the floors look. I would definately reccommend them.

Great to work with. Did what they said they would do. Job took a bit longer because they were minus one worker for the first few days, but they went the extra mile to make up for it. Cleaned up and removed all debris. Would use again without hesitation.

This was the second time that I have worked with Tony. He knows what he's talking about so when I leave him to his work I don't worry a bit. I know my floors are in good hands. I love the machines that he is using because it is awesome at keeping my house clean. They did a wonderful job as always.

Fantastic! Our wood floors needed major updating; we have started with the staircase. 1st Class Flooring did an awesome job from sanding the old finish using their dustless system (which is a biggie), took their time showing me options of stains and what it looked like on my wood floors, and went right to business getting the job done on time and on budget. Throughout the process, the owner communicated with me by sending pictures of their progress. After the job was completed, the owner followed up to make sure all work was done to our satisfaction. All in all, it was a great experience working with 1st Class Flooring. I will definitely be using them on future flooring projects. Great workmanship and professionalism.

Tony and his guys were a pleasure to work with. They did a beautiful job on our floors. Initially, we considered having our hardwood replaced with a prefinished engineered product but we are so happy with our decision to refinish our existing hardwood. The floors look better than they originally did when we bought the house new. Love the satin finish, Tony! Thanks for the recommendation.

Tony was great! He did a great job estimating the project and then offering advice and options for us. He helped work around several scheduling issue that we had and was very flexible. Tony was also great at offering different choices of finishes and providing benefits and drawbacks of each.

Tony and his crew started on this job and finished it in a very timely manner. They were all very polite and mannerly and I never felt ill at ease in an empty house with 3 strangers. That means a lot in these days we are living in. I was encouraged to come to the house and check their progress...that told me they were doing their job as expected and with nothing to hide. I was surprised when I came in the first day to find not only were they doing the floors but the floor area under the stove, which they had moved to another area with tile floor and had removed the toilet and sink in the bathroom in order to sand and finish those areas as well. Very thorough job and when finished the site was left neat with no trash. The floors are beautiful in their natural state, instead of staining and then sealing. I would encourage anyone who wants a thorough job well done to hire this crew. Job WELL DONE!!

Everything went better than expected from the start. I called to set up a date/time for them to come out and take a look at what I had. They came out before I left for work to get the square footage and have a quick discussion about what we were looking for. They arrived at exactly what time they said they would. Tony emailed the itemized estimate back to me very quickly then messaged me to let me know he had sent it. They started work on a Tuesday and he kept me informed about how the job was going and what we should expect throughout the entire process and even stayed late until I arrived home from work to talk with me. The floors were almost 60 years old and there was water damage, pet stains and several non matching boards so I was a little skeptical about how it would look in certain areas. We could not be happier with the way the floors turned out. The stain they used really makes the wood grain stand out and there is no evidence of the previous damage anywhere. The floors are beautiful, the whole crew was friendly, knowledgeable and punctual. Very positive experience.

Tony gave us a bid along with a schedule and communicated clearly what we could expect. He met all of our expectations. Their attitudes and work ethic exceeded our expectations. The outcome is beautifully refinished hardwood floors! I can't imagine why anyone seeking hardwood floor refinishing or installation, would use anyone else in the Chattanooga area? I can assure you we would call on Tony again if we have any hardwood floor needs! Their system IS DUSTLESS! I wouldn't believe it either except I was present throughout the process.

Tony and his crew from 1st class flooring were exceptional! I had water damaged engineered floors. Instead of replacing with the same type of flooring, I elected to go with custom hardwood. I am completely satisfied! The floors are beautiful and have completely changed the look and feel of my home. Tony gave me several options and together we decided to use red oak with a natural finish. His dustless system was accurately named. I have had repairs in the past that left residue for weeks. When these guys left, it was clean! The installation of the wood and the finishing was accomplished in 8 days, including sanding and refinishing my stairs. Stairs are not easy, but the result was a total match to the new wood. Tony, Ross, and Jeremy were unfailingly polite and conscientious. Their teamwork was obvious. These guys have worked together and it showed. Each had their own task and complimented each other very well. I am already planning on having these guys back when I refinish my upstairs area. I am very happy with the results.
