Past customer of BFF. Company posted on FB a 50% Thanksgiving special sale. I went to site, chose a refinished antique china hutch and placed it in my cart. After several attempts to finalize purchase and having problems, I contacted store via posts on FB (they were not answering phone calls either at the shop or their home). After many posts back and forth about what was happening and them knowing I was getting ready to travel and that I truly wanted this piece, I did not get much success from the folks at BFF to help me with the purchase. I was told that I could stop by the store this week and pay. After reaching my destination in Tennessee, I again tried to complete the purchase (all the while the cabinet was in my shopping cart and according to their website, once you have an item in your cart, it is removed from the inventory so others can not purchase it), I once again contacted the folks at BFF. I didn't receive a response until much later when I was told my Aaron that his wife Esther was sick, for me to be patient and she would get back in touch with me when she could. I then checked the cart one more time and discovered that the piece was no longer there, nor was it in the inventory on their online catalog. I didn't know if they had the item on hold for me because of all the difficulties we were having or if someone else had purchased it after the item was removed from my cart (by BFF). I posted this question on their Facebook page and didn't receive any response. Finally, this morning, I got a post back from Aaron telling me that the reason I couldn't check out was because someone else purchased it while I was in the process. My question back to them was how did that happen since I had the piece in my cart the entire day and evening and according to their policy and procedures, once an item is in my cart, no one else can purchase it until BFF removes the item and places it back in their inventory. I wanted to know the time the item was purchased, because it just seemed a bit odd. I did not receive any further comments or explantions from BFF. I then proceeded to post a comment on their FB page explaining what had happened and how I felt they had poor customer service (they knew I was wanting to purchase, I was having problems with THEIR site and yet they completely ignored that and left me hanging). This isn't the first time I have had problems with BFF. I had a similar problem (not with an online site) when they were working mostly from their FB page and posted an item for sale. Their policy then was the first person who asked to purchase would have 24 hours before it was relisted. I asked first to purchase an item and made arrangements to meet them the next day to pay and pick up, when another customer said he wanted to purchase the item and he was ready with cash right then and there. Esther proceeded to inform me that she wanted to sell the item to him and she would keep an eye out for me something similar in the future. Who does business this way? Today after I posted my lengthy comment about my experience, the folks at BFF deleted all my comments, blocked me from posting on their site and once again, completely ignored me and went about their business. So basically because I, a good repeat customer, had a major issue with a purchase, one they didn't seem to want or care about helping me with, commented in a negative manner on their FB page, I was deleted and blocked so that others wouldn't see what had happened. Please be aware that your experience may or may not be a good one when doing business with this company. And be aware that if you make a negative remark on their FB page, you will be deleted and blocked.
