I hired Mr. Freddie Young of Young’s Home Additions/ Remodel on January 27, 2020 to add an addition to my home which consisted of A family room, bath, guess bedroom and pantry. The frame of the home was contracted out my Mr.Young and was done correctly. Everything was going well until Mr. Young’s had his workers to put down floors and do ceilings at the same time and from then on everything went down hill. Mr. Young did replace the wood. Once the wood was placed down my husband and I noticed that the floor was not leveled. Mr. Young had his workers to take up the wood again to try. Again it was not levels and again he had to buy flooring because his workers messed it up. This happen four (4) times in a roll until I called Mr. Young and told him that My husband and I was feed up and that he needed to hire someone to do the job right. I told him that I knew someone from Lowe’s that does floors. He agreed to pay once the guy finished. While the Lowe’s guy was removing the floor that was put down my Mr. Young’s workers, he sent me a picture of showing cardboard and padding under my floor trying to level it. They also used Roofing paper under my floors instead of padding. Mr. Young is never at the site while his workers are working, never check behind his workers, don’t use right equipment for the job, don’t know how to address a customer when there is a complaint, told me to my face that the wood that he had to replace in my house that he would use it in another customers home and they would not know it. His worker (Tony) used tar instead of silicon on my rain guards. The Ceiling and walls are already showing signs of cracking, hot water heater does not a drain that runs outside of the house and the TP needs to be repiped or band. As of May 5,2020 this is what Mr. Young texted me: QUOTE “Ms Linda do what you need to do as of today, and threatening me for the 3rd time about a lawyer, I will not work under these conditions for you or anyone, get a quote of what you say is unfinished n I’m ok with the price I will pay, with cosmetic things you want done”. Once I received a quote from another contractor Mr. Freddie Young told my husband and I along with the contractor that he would not be paying that because that price was to high. Please keep in mind that there’s a lot of things in my new addition that Mr. Freddie Young’s workers has messed up and has not completed. The Ceiling has to be completely redone and every wall in every room has to be redone. I have videos and pictures to back me up. When you rub up against the walls you will have paint residue all over you. It was not done correctly. I asked Mr. Young to have one of this workers to return all my permits that I have paid for and he has yet to do so. Mr. Freddie Young has been paid in full which was a very bad mistake on my part. That will never happen again. You live and you learn from every mistake in life and believe me I have learned from this one. Believe me God Got me.
