Empire Heating & Air Conditioning

It went very well. The original install date was pushed back a week. This was due to the install team noticing that the air conditioner unit going outside the house had a dent on it. They stated that all was ok inside the unit, however, they did not want to install it due to an abundance of caution. I was happy to see that versus them trying to talk me into a dented unit which they did not do. They came on time on the date of the install. The crew was very professional and friendly. They did a very good job of covering the floor from the front door to my basement where they would be walking back and forth removing the old unit and bringing the new unit in. They took great care not to damage my walls and furniture. After removing the old unit, they took the time to clean the area the new unit was going onto. They were very good in reference to my constant inquiries as to how it was going. They were also very good at communicating to me what they were doing and why as I was always asking what they were doing and why. When they finished, they did a great job cleaning up after themselves. I did not find any screws or nails left behind. They finished the job in one day with only the install manager returning the following day to do some touch up work. I would highly recommend Empire Heating and Air to any of my friends or neighbors.

They were really helpful, pointed out everything that was wrong and needed to be fixed. They ordered the parts quickly. They were friendly and showed up when they were supposed.

Punctual, pleasant, and competent. Did not identify any problems currently, but let me know what to look out for and how to perform maintenance. Did not try to push any unnecessary services, but did identify a couple small things I could do myself to prolong the life of the system. I feel I can trust them and have a good place to call in the future if we need a repair.

Went great. I used a coupon from Angie's list. Scheduling was a breeze and they sent someone out the next day. Prompt and polite service. The technician even took time to answer some questions I had about the units, as we are new to the house. Recommend and will use again.

Chris Adolph is AWESOME and extremely knowledgeable and a consummate professional. I have never been more impressed. The installers and service techs (especially David) are really exceptional. I always know they are going to be prompt and responsive and get the job done right the first time. Could not recommend them more highly.

Chris "Cutty" is one of the BEST service technicians that I have ever had in my home. All of the employees at Empire were courteous, professional, and helpful. Empire will maintain, and eventually replace, my HVAC systems as long as own my home.

Phillip was great! He was very punctual, professional, knowledgeable, thorough and explained everything he was doing and why. He recommended that we add a couple of return plenums upstairs to help with the efficiency. He didn't sell me h****** anything, which I appreciate. He suggested I get one of his specialists out for a quote. Our units are about 20 years old, so he mentioned that we could hold off until we have to replace them to keep the cost down. I love options! One of the units needed a pound of Freon. The price was a little over $100. However, he gave me the option to pay $187 for the Heating Tune Up service in the winter and waived the fee for the Freon.

I found Angie's "Big Deal" coupon just when my upstairs air conditioner had conked out, so I took advantage of it to get inspection and service from Empire Heating & Air. Very good overall experience. The technician found and replaced a defective capacitor (extra charge, but no problem), and added freon, getting the unit up and running. Good technician, answered all questions, friendly and competent. The two units are the original units that were installed when the house was built over 20 years ago--on their last legs at best. The technician recommended replacement of both units, including the furnaces that go with them (upstairs and downstairs). He suggested I talk to Empire's sales rep, which I did. He too was very friendly and informative. I asked him for a quote on upgraded units with variable speed furnaces, higher seer rating and upgraded unit ductwork. He responded in a timely fashion. I told them I was going to get quotes on the same type systems from other providers and that I would check each company's reviews on Angie's List. This I did, and Shumate Mechanical won hands down--even provided additional upgrades and rebates--all for a lower price--with a great service warranty included. I called Empire and thanked them, explaining my decision. Bottom line: I have no complaints against Empire. Nice folks, good service, but business is business and times being what they are, I have to be a sharp consumer and get the very best bang for my bucks.

The company was responsive during scheduling and the technician arrived on time. They performed a simple check/tune-up to make sure there weren't any major issues with the A/C unit for the townhouse we had just purchased, and everything went well.

From their customer service, prompt arrival time, technician experience and service, this is the best HVAC Company by far. I recently had Empire HVAC come and diagnose my upstairs and outside unit. My unit was cooling my house but my inside unit?s line would freeze up and defrost over my attic floor. The technician Keith (21 years experience) quickly found my problem which was a clogged line leading out of my house. He quickly fixed the problem and I was able to run my A/C unit without fear that my attic would flood. This was beyond my expectations considering another company said that my evaporating coil was bad and needed to be replaced and would run me around $1100. He checked and tested my evaporating coil and confirmed that it was not the problem. Keith quickly resolved my problem for 1/10th of the price I would?ve paid. Thanks to Angie?s List and the customer service rep at Empire HVAC Mary Helen, they honored my coupon that I had purchased online and lowered the price of the repair even more. Now my wife (33 weeks pregnant), 4yr old daughter and I can sleep comfortably with assurance that my upstairs A/C unit will be operating at its optimal level. Keith and Empire HVAC did a great job and have earned a loyal customer for many years to come. I recommend them to anyone that has any problems with their HVAC system and for bi-annual services. The repairman was very prompt and professional. He took photos of my air conditioning system and discussed it's condition with me. He was impressed with the way it was installed and and it's overall condition given the age of the unit. He did not find anything wrong with it. The only reason he replaced the filter was because it was torn. I felt satisfied with his professional opinion and relieved that it didn't need any repairs.

They came out the same day I called to inspect my furnace, even though we weren't customers yet. They did a solid inspection, and even quoted on site a price for a new furnace. Even before I signed a contract the technician signed me up for the next available natal lagoon date for the following week, which was great. Their price was reasonable and they were prompt and professional. The installation was fast and great. I am so happy I called them.

They added freon to my old A/C unit and it works fine I was told I would need a whole new system but I do not.

System checked out ok. However, I was told that it was 27 years old and a replacement system should be considered. No hard sell. I asked for a proposal for a new system. Their office contacted me the same day to set up an appt.

They're on time, reliable, and helpful. They back up their products.

I have several HVAC units and intended to purchase a coupon for 2. I ordered one and then realized I needed to repeat the process for another. When I went to the site again, I mistakenly ordered 2, thus ending up with 3. I used 2 of them and have misplaced the third. The coupons covered the service call, but they wanted to replace 2 complete units at a cost of $15-20K. Since they are not yet 8 yrs old, I got another opinion and went with them.

Went well. He was on time, and they called to let me know he was coming. I LOVE that. I just had my ac serviced, but did a little "test" to see if they would find anything wrong. And they didn't which means they were honest. The only thing is the guy didn't recommend a filter replacement. It looked dirty to me, so I replaced it anyway, but that's probably me just being a little too picky. I would use them again.
