I ordered what was suppose to be the "17-point furnace inspection" includes:Check fan control Check and adjust thermostat Check and adjust all safety controls Inspect burners for dirt, rust, and debris Adjust pilot assembly Inspect burner for efficiency Check for gas leaks in furnace Lubricate all moving parts Change standard 1" filter Check flue pipe Test limit control for safety Check water heater flue Check air circulation Check heat exchanger Set heat/cool dampers Carbon monoxide inspection Turn on humidifier and check operation Check one system equipment and operation for excessive or unusual noise. Upon which no of it was done. I had the filters changed shortly after the visit. They also installed an Ignition Switch and they charged me $213.00 in addition to the $55 I paid for them, basically to come out and tell me I needed an Ignition Switch. In addition to that I was quoted $1610.00 to replace a vent pipe from the furnace to the roof. For that price I could get an entire system installed. That was it!

My daughter lives in a condo, so they had to get on the roof to look at it in more detail. However they worked on the defront board. They also advised to contact the warranty company as it should be covered under it. They also provided a complete print out invoice of everything that needed to be done. My daughter was very happy with them.

I would say that my experience with them was not quite that positive. They sent a technician that did not have a lot of knowledge. He had to call somebody else for all the questions that I asked. I really did not feel that he adequately answered my questions or fixed the issue that I had. We had them do 2 systems and so I paid them an additional $55.

They were very good. Everything went very well. The gentleman was knowledgeable and available when I needed him and everything. I had no problem. I would use this provider again in the future.

A/C unit is old. System was blowing warm air. Technician found freon to be low, so he added freon. However, when Empire went out for PM the previous year (2013), freon was found to be too high, so tech bled some freon out. But this year it was tested low. This was odd that it was high last year and low this year, but I didn't question it, tech did work, and there have been no more problems.

When I called, I was treated courteously and a tech was sent out immediately. He arrived within the hour and corrected the issue within a few minutes. The tech was professional and friendly. Overall it was a great experience!

I'll be brief because there's not much to say that hasn't already been said. Prompt, professional, friendly and did a great job. I have a new HVAC provider, and would recommend Empire to anyone.

Tried the Angie's List furnace tuneup promotion. Professional, competent and helpful. Only hiccup was the office mixed up my address and technician was a little late. Good experience overall.

I had actually used them many years ago but had forgotten their names. They do a very good job and are very polite. They are neat and explain everything carefully to you as well.

Very we'll . Mr Lumpkin was very professional and was very concern about the poor install of my furnace by another company . Be cause the furnace is under the house here was No way for me to see the gaps in the furnace which I think is causing the furnace not to operate at full capacity. I have contacted the company that installed the furnace to come and correct what Mr Lumpkin found.

It was okay. I had them the first time and they were good. They did the service but my AC was not working. I did not have a good feeling about the replacement. They did what they were supposed to do but I will not use them again. The price was fair.

The representative was very good, polite, knowledgable and informative.

The tech came on time and did a thorough check on the system and explained everything in details.

It went very well. They worked on 2 heating units and 2 air conditioning units and got them all taken care of good. They were very responsive.

Great price with Angie's List and great service from Empire. The technician fully inspected and cleaned the furnace and changed the filter. He then tested the furnace at least 6 times to make sure it was functioning correctly. He then showed me step by step how to check it myself for any future dust build-up. Prompt and courteous too!

Technician showed up right on time. He was very nice and explained what he was going to do before heading to the attic. After service was completed, he explained what was done in detail. Excellent service and professionalism.

serviceman was on time and introduced himself. He wore shoe covers and seemed knowledgeable. Asked if our furnace's were running efficiently. One of the units was out, and after inspection, was determined to have an unlit pilot light. replaced both filters and after finishing, he cleaned up the carpet where he had made some mess.

The cost includes the box filter. They’re very responsive if you have a contract with them. They make every effort to come out even if it’s a weekend or nighttime. I’ve been very pleased with their service and the calibre of their technicians. In addition to doing our house we live in, they also give services to our rental houses. Three years ago, we had a Saturday with a temperature that had 106 degrees outside. I got a call from a tenant at 3p.m. on a Saturday and telling me that the a/c quit working. I called them and they came right out. Within 2 hours, they had it back in service.

I purchased a deal from Angie's List that was a furnace inspection/cleaning. I was not impressed. My technician, Jaren, arrived at 6:20 PM for a 2pm - 6pm appointment window. I did not receive a call letting me know the technician was anticipating being late or where he was after my appointment window had closed. The company was supposed to check my water heater flue as part of the service, and I can assure you they did not. In my mind, if they didn't check that, what else didn't they check? I'm not very confident in my technician's assessment of my furnace and that everything is "working fine." The technician did not speak with me in regards to an annual service plan. While that's fine, I don't appreciate the technician putting "recommend maintenance contract 154.00 per year" on my receipt without even recommending it. I got the feeling this was the last stop of the day for my technician and he simply breezed through his checklist as quickly as possible. I will not be using the company in the future. They had the best price by far, but ultimately I suppose you get what you pay for.

The heater was out. Scheduling the visit was easy. The technician was on time. The technician's diagnosis was 'bad main board.' The diagnosis was incorrect. While the technician was onsite I observed the tests being performed, and the methodology didn't appear to provide conclusive evidence. While the technician was there I tested the thermostat and noticed the unit flicker activity. I decided to replace the thermostat myself and it resolved the issue without the parts cost of a $550 main board or the labor.

Technician arrived promptly, was courteous and professional, he answered my questions and explained what he was doing. I appreciated the advice he gave me about the different types of filters I could buy at Home Depot or Lowes (flimsy cheap ones vs the slightly more expensive but better constructed ones), and importance of checking/changing monthly. Per my request, technician also obtained an estimate for a humidifier to my system. I definitely plan to use Empire again for my heating & AC needs.
