Comfort Control Heating & Air Conditioning

The technician came on time and finished pretty quickly. Gave a report that both the coils in the attic are leaking coolant. Had to get it fixed using my extended home warranty which meant another $500 bucks. But glad that Comfort Control found the problem before it got really hot in the summer.

The sales guy was knowledgeable, polite and easy to talk to. We worked out a price and got the central air unit installed 3 days later. I got a call from the office about a half hour before they were to be at the house. She told me that the install before mine was running long. She gave me a new time. They showed up 10 mintues before the new scheduled time. I appreciated their being proactive to let me know about the delay and accurately giving me a new scheduled time. The installer were clean and polite as well. Even though they quoted a 4 hour install window, they were done in 2. Very happy with the whole process. Unit is working great (should be - it's only 5 days old)

$69.00 for a cheap filter and never ending sales pitches. Told us 6+ times how old our system was (as if we did not know) and we would be lucky if it lasted the summer. Once, twice fine but 6 plus times - come on. Did not do the Teflon coating and only mentioned that he hadn't after I asked him if he had done it. When I mentioned I wouldn't be doing anything today but would have to call them back out I got a nasty look and he basically closed up and did paperwork for the remainder of the time. I would never recommend this company. I felt they were very unprofessional.

It went very well once the Best Deal coupons were completed. I fully recommend the HVAC services.

I highly recommend using Comfort Control and I plan on using them again. I even bought their yearly maintenance plan!

What we got instead was a very expensive furnace filter replacement and a sales pitch for several expensive repairs up to and including the recommendation that we replace our furnace. No tune-up was performed. In fact no work was done on our furnace at all.

I called to get an appointment on wednesday the 7th and spoke with Mary; she scheduled me for friday the 9th. Ty the service Tech called me on friday to confirm. He showed up on time, was very professional and got right to work. He tested the system inside and outside and informed me of needed repairs. I am truly satisfied with this company and will use them again.

Very professional and knowledgeable. Suggested that we need a new furnace (which we do) but was not pushy about it. We feel he gave us a fair price for the work he did. We'll go back to the company later in 2012 to have new furnace installed.

The appoint for this service was between 2 and 4 PM. The technician called twice and left messages while we were out and when we we return around noon we returned his call and said he could come early. He arrived around 1:00 PM and was polite and professional and did a fine job. The only con during the appointment was there was a lot of sales presentation on their various services. On the pro side he was very informative and answered all my questions.

Overall, everything has been great with this company every time I deal with them. I have nothing bad to say about them. They were very personable and professional. I would recommend this company to anyone and would use them again.

Called mid-afternoon with a dead a/c unit. They were able to send a service tech (Vu) out within a few hours. He was very polite, professional, and informative. He replaced a dead a/c compressor motor the same day. Will definitely use them again if we have a/c needs in the future.

I had no complaints about the job they did. They did a very good job.

I called Comfort Control to diagnose an intermittent heat pump problem, based on the Angie's list reviews and the availability of an Angie's list member coupon. The polite lady that answered the call tried to persuade me that the coupon did not apply to my service call, but ultimately agreed to accept the coupon for '$20 off a service call'. They had a cancellation that day and dispatched a technician almost immediately. The technician was prompt and courteous, and spent a little over an hour attempting to find the trouble with my heat pump. At that time he found nothing wrong with the system and left me with a list of things to try (new thermostat, less restrictive vent covers, disposable air filter). After trying all of his suggestions, the system continued to work intermittently, prompting me to call their office and request another visit from a technician. The same technician returned the following day, and told me that my heat pump was old, and suggested replacing either just the compressor, or the entire heat pump. This was his final diagnosis... He then quoted me prices on a replacement compressor ($2003) or a new heat pump ($2250). Due to the amount of money involved, and the fact that I didn't completely buy the 'old age' diagnosis, I let him know that I would need to get some other estimates before approving the work. I had to wait several days for another company to come out, but they diagnosed the problem as a faulty thermal expansion valve on the air handler, which caused the compressor to stop intermittently. My total repair cost was $329, a fraction of the estimate supplied by Comfort Control... An estimate that Comfort Control charged me $69 to provide... I called Comfort Control to inform them of their mis-diagnosis, and request a refund of the diagnostic 'service call' fee. They told me that they would NOT refund the fee, and further stated "they would have caught the problem after installing the new parts, and taken care of it at that time". Unfortunately, by the time they 'caught' the real problem, I would have already spent over $2000 on unnecessary parts... I could have obtained free replacement estimates from a dozen companies, but instead I called a 'professional' to diagnose the problem with my existing unit. I understand everyone makes mistakes, but I don't feel I should have to pay for Comfort Control's 'mis-diagnosis'.

It was amazing! They tried to fix the old system twice, without trying to sell us a new one. When it became obvious that the old ac was a goner, they sold us one we could afford and put it in the next day.

All in all, a very good experience. I mentioned Comfort Control to several of my neighbors and at least one of them has already call. I also was able to use my Angie's List coupon for the service.

Comfort Controls replaced my air handler in the attic after a large leak was discovered in the R22 coil. The original technician came out to service both of my units as my heat pump was not working well. He performed a complete service and explained everything as he went along. I did not question the integrity of his knowledge or advice. The leak was so large, we could actually hear it! John, the company's sales manager arrived as scheduled two days later and explained my options in a clear and straight forward manner. There were no pressure tactics used during our conversation. After getting two other quotes and weighing my options, I called John and scheduled the new unit to be installed the next day. Ta and Jerry arrived on time with pleasant attitudes. They worked steadily, answered my questions, and didn't cut corners on the install. I appreciated their professionalism and knowledge. All in all, I'd say Comfort Controls displayed integrity every step of the way. Thanks, Comfort Controls.

It went very well. They are efficient and know what they are doing. They can be a little expensive though.

There were some lose wires that the service man fixed very quickly. He also changed the filter because it was dirty.

One technician did the troubleshooting and determined quickly the compressor was bad, and showed me why it was bad. A quote for repairs was given before he left. The compressor was installed when originally scheduled, for the amount quoted. Later I discovered the company used 2 to 3 times the amount of refrigerant covered under warranty due to the unexpected size of my unit. They did not charge any additional fees and honored their original quote.

We initially did an air quality inspection and found the service very helpful. We got an air purifier installed and had our ducts sealed. We have since gotten a humidifier installed and had maintenance and repair work performed. They are very professional and show up when they say they will show up. The prices aren't the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. The only negative is sometimes how booked up they are in the middle of the season.

System performs well, zoning increased cooling in the summer months. Company came back to resolve minor problem in a timely and friendly manner. Installers were respectful and the job was clean. I would recommend this company for heating and A/C work.

Last winter, the gas on our 4-ton Ruud system went out due to faulty wiring; this occurred on a weekend. I called 3 different emergency heat/AC companies, but Comfort Control called me right back and came to the house as quickly as possible. I knew that the Ruud system had problems as it had been installed in June 2001 and had frozen solid EVERY summer since being installed. Long story short...Tom Kohberger and his employee, Tim, evaluated the entire system, judged the system MUCH too large for a 1900 sq ft home and SUGGESTED a new system. They did not force the system on me and I felt comfortable I was getting the truth. I agreed to have the new system installed with a more efficient setup in my newly finished basement, 3-floor zoning, and whole house air purifier (TRANE system). Tom and his employees were courteous, quiet, clean and efficient. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

I have been using their services for a couple of years now. Initially, I had found out how great they were to work with when I was out of the country one spring. I was having a neighbor come over to water my flowers and keep an eye on the house. He noticed a problem with my air conditioner and called Comfort Control. They came out and took care of the problem right away and I have been using them every since.

After using Comfort Control, Inc. for 2-3 years for maintenance and installation of auxillary equipment, I discovered through 3 party inspections that there were serious problems with their installation and semi annual maintenance of my HAVOC equipment. When I called them, I told the receptionist that I had a problem. She said that since I had missed the July, 1st call date, I had forfeited the service fee. She also said that the owner of the company would not waive the date violation. What this means financially is that I have lost half of $368.00. What I have a problem with is the fact the I communicated with Comfort Control, Inc., that there were quality problems with their installation and semiannual inspections and they have no interest in understanding what those problems are, nor do they have any desire to rectify them. One of the quality problems was simply aggravating. The other was safety related. I'll never use them again and don't recommend them for Angie's List.

The first time I had them come out it was because my upstairs cooling system had gone out in the GA summer heat. They explained and showed me exactly what was needed, and fixed it. Now I have the annual service contract which includes two visits per year for my heating and air conditioning systems. They have always been prompt and efficient and since I started using them 2 1/2 years ago, my system has been running great. Brian and Tim are the technicians I have worked with. Their scheduler calls you on your home and cell phone when they are heading over so you don't have to sit and wait!
