Comfort Control Heating & Air Conditioning

I told the technician that the unit was 17 years old. He said I should have the unit replaced. Said I did not have enough freon and the price he quoted me seemed expensive. He found other things wrong. He called his company and they had their closer come out the next day at 6:30 pm and tell me they could sell me an Amana 14 seer 2.5 ton ac & coil & furnance. Total with instillation would be $5358.00. I thought he was very nice and very professional and what do I know about air conditioners. However, I decided to get a second opinion from a heating and air company that I had used in the past and has a good reputation. The technician told me that the Lenox that I own was still working fine, I had sufficient freon, and he saw no reason for me to change. However, if I decided to buy a new one, he would be glad to sell me another Lenox (which turned out to be at a cheaper price than the Amana, but I did not tell him). Later, I did have trouble with the evaporater drain line which the young man from Comfort Control should have caught if he had really inspected my system. So I had the evaporater drain line blown out and the system serviced at full price. The unit seems to be working fine. I think Comfort Control's real objective is to find who has aging air condtioners and sell them a new one. In my opinion, that is their real interest and where they really make their money.

They did a very good job and the house is much cooler

It went well, they were on time and install went well. The first unit they brought was defective, but they swapped it out the same day.

Someone came to inspect my non-working system. It was original to the house, so approximately 30 years old. I knew it would probably need replaced. I was given a clear explanation of my options and costs. The service was scheduled and in a very timely manner was completly replaced and running in no time. I did not realize how ineffectively my old system had been. The men that replaced the system were very friendly, explaining what they needed to do and did it very professionally. I would not hesitate to use Comfort Control again, if needed.

The tech was on time, was here aprox 30-45 mins. He checked the AC and Furnace replaced the filter on the AC. He went over everything he saw and discussed the need for a new AC in 6mos to a year. He left everything clean and in it's place.

We came home to find out our second AC unit not working. I called the company and the service guy came on the same day even though it was on a Saturday evening. Words couldn't describe how grateful we were to have our AC working again when it's almost 90 degrees outside. Mr. Ta Kim was very professional and patient in helping us evaluating whether to repair or replace the unit. When we are ready to replace the unit, we will most certainly call Comfort Control!!!

They did great. There were two service people. One worked on the outside AC unit whle the other worked on the inside portion. They were very professional.

I got an AC tune up because when it was 100 degrees for several days straight in ATL my AC went on the fritz and kept tripping my breaker. I eventually was told that the AC and furnace needed to be replaced since they were older. The air works fine now and I was supposed to get a quote for the replacement of the unit but the manager never emailed me so that was disappointing.

It went well. No complaints here.

I initially contacted Comfort Controls for HVAC maintenance, but the service technician found some other items that needed to be replaced and it works so much better. I am very happy with the service and the parts that were replaced. The Technician was spot on with the items that were old and not working properly. I was so happy with Comfort Controls that I scheduled service for my rental property and I have one more that I will be calling them to service.

They were very good. They were very cordial and very helpful. They didn't say it was going to cost thousands of dollars and he told me there were 2 items I would have to get replaced, but not until next year. Everything else was fine. They have a good rapport and good communication with their customers. I will call them again to do the actual work next year when it needs to be done.

Our main floor AC unit was no longer cooling. The technician Josh was very nice and showed me pictures he had taken of my system when explaining where the unit was leaking. He gave me three options for repairing or replacing my system and was very straightforward about laying the choices out so I could decide rather than pushing me in any one direction. Because it would have been a $450 repair on a 15-year old system, I opted to replace the unit. I called back the next morning to have an estimator come out and would totally have gone with the company beacuse I had such a great initial experience and liked the fact they are a small operation. However, the serviceperson who was supposed to come out between 2-4 pm never showed. When I called the company at 5 minutes before 5 o'clock, Lisa said that John never got the text from headquarters that he was supposed to come out. Sorry, but that doesn't make my house any cooler on a 90 degree day when I am at home waiting for a service call. They lost my business.

I had spoken to a couple companies prior to Comfort Control and ordered repair parts just for the blower. I was deciding what models for the ac replacement. When I talked to Mr. Browden, I realized my original decision was not the biggest bang for my buck. His prices were competitive with the company that would fix my blower, but personally stressed over the fact that I ordered these parts from the other company. I would definitely work with comfort control & Mr. Bowden in the future (betting my second a/c unit will be having trouble as well).

I saw Angie's List was having a special, so I decided to grab one for a check-up on my A/C. Robert came out on time and appeared professional. He put on some booties as to not bring unnecessary dirt into my house. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and gave me several tips as we discussed options for upgrades. The cost came out to be more than expected due to me having 2 units, and also because he added some coolant (which is not cheap). Instead of paying the $79 advertised special, I ended up paying $352. I guess these things happen, but I can only guess it was needed, as I am not a pro.

My A/C stopped working Thursday night. After reviewing some providers on Angie's list on Friday, I called Comfort Control since their reviews were good and they had a coupon on the site. The customer service representative offered to send a technician. The technician, Robert, came to my house within an hour of my phone call. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He also provided me with info. on my A/C unit and answered my questions. I was happy with the service that I received.

He came on time. He serviced my AC and answered the ton of questions that I had about lowering my power bill. He stayed for an appropriate amount of time and left.

The tech arrived on time, was courteous, explained everything he was doing. He appeared very knowledgeable, and performed his job in a timely manner.

I bought an Angie's List coupon for the maintenance visit. I scheduled the visit with Comfort Control. Comfort Control performed the maintenance and gave me a list of suggested repairs.

They called and wanted to come early. They were here for about 30 minutes and were very friendly. Would use again.

My appointment was scheduled during the timeframe of 11am - 2pm. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from the technician (Robert) that he would arrive around 9am. During the check-up, he replaced my 2 filters (which I provided), explained everything that he was doing and gave me some tips on steps I could take to reduce my energy costs. At no time was there any type of sales pitch or pressure. Every option presented was given with pros/cons. The additional cost ($125) was to add coolant for my downstairs unit. Within 30 minutes I noticed the difference. Because of the knowledge/professionalism of the technician who performed the work, I have made an appointment for an estimate to replace both units (which are 18 years old). I will definitely look to use this company in the future!
