+ -1 moreVery well. During the course of the inspection they found something that had been installed improperly in the furnace. It was explained to me what was wrong with the part and I was not pressured to have it repaired but chose to do so and was glad I did. They took the old part out and showed me to compare with the the new part and what it should look like. They also explained to me the purpose of the part and how it worked. The furnace is above the garage and while up there they removed all the old filters that had been left up there by the previous owners and cleaned insulation off of the unit. I also had a few things come up in the home inspection which I showed them and was told that it didn't need to be fixed immediately as it was part of a repair that I would need in the future and there was no reason to pay for it twice. I REALLY appreciated that. I also purchased maintenance for them to come back in the spring to check the air conditioning.

+ -1 moreTHey were on time & friendly. They advised that they had changed the filter and did an inspection of the system. They advised I should have the unit looked at by another person in their company, because they did not have the equipment needed to check inside and the other person had a camera to perform the inspection. The other person came, did the inspection and advised I needed a new furnace/ac system. I thought the price was expensive and have since had another company come out, inspect and give a quote. The quote I received from Comfort Control was more expensive then the company I used to replace the furnace. Thank you.

+ -1 moreI was supposed to get filters changed as a part of the deal but tech charged me for it and said that it did not come as a part of the deal. He did other work that I am not familiar with and the bill just kept increasing. A few months later I had someone else out to look at another problem and was told that the filters did not get changed because my type of filters don't need to be changed but once or twice a year. He told me that they did not look like they had been changed within the last 6 to 12 months. Also the air just does not seem to be reaching a couple of the rooms in the house. How disappointing. He was supposed to check on that and he said he saw no problem, but there is obviously a problem when the room is not as cool as the others and there is no direct sunlight hitting the room.

Ta introduced himself immediately with a handshake and a smile, and even wore those surgical type slippers that go over the shoes so as not to bring any dirt inside. I had to wait about 4 weeks to get him here, because the deal was obviously popular, but it was well worth the wait. I was impressed with his professionalism from the minute he walked in to the minute he left. I would highly recommend this company, and if you live near Stone Mountain, ask specifically for Ta, as he lives nearby.
Description of Work: I bought the Angies List Deal for $39.00 for a furnace inspection. I expected to hear how I needed a new furnace or some expensive replacement of some sort, but all we needed was an ignitor sometime in the future. Ta was here on time, very friendly and professional, and went right to work. He showed us exactly what part we will need eventually and explained why. I was very impressed with his knowledge of every part of our (old) furnace.

Description of Work: Well, this started out as a "big deal" for a heating/cooling tune up that I had scheduled for 11/27; HOWEVER on 11/13, with Georgia temperatures dropping into the 40's, my heater died sometime that evening, but it went unnoticed until around 10:00 when the temperature in my home dropped to 61 degrees. I called Comfort Control to make an appointment the next morning and they promptly returned my call bright and early, scheduled an appointment for between 2 and 4 that day. They arrived an hour early, took my "big deal" coupon as the service fee, quickly assessed the problem, replaced the parts, DID THE TUNE UP, which I didn't expect, and was done in 50 minutes... Ta Kim, technician, explained EVERYTHING as he worked along, talked about the age of my furnace, and the potential replacement that will likely be needed in a couple of years, was very nice!!! Overall just a wonderful experience. I've had a different company for my annual Furnace/AC service, and guess what, I just changed it!!!

+ -1 moreAfter the whole experience, my thought was that the low-priced "tickler" fee of $39 was just a method for this company to then try to over sell me on various parts that did not need to be replaced. The Technician did perform the Air Conditioner check-up satisfactorially and was friendly throughout the visit. My main complaint is that I felt like he spent too much effort trying to "over sell" me on unnecessary parts replacements. Prior to the visit, my home's Air Conditioning system had been operating just fine for nearly ten (10) years even through the hot summer months.
Description of Work: I signed up for an Angie's List "Big Deal" last summer for an Air Conditioner system check-up. The Technician was nice, but tried multiple times to "up sell" me on various HVAC components (example = fan capacitor) that have been working just fine for several years. Essentially, I felt like he was consciously trying to sell me various parts that I did not need and that were in fine working order.

+ -1 moreProvided clear and detailed options, they didn?t push too much to replace the AC unit, and once we decided they promptly performed the service. The guys were very courteous and professional. And we are very happy with the new unit and likely to call them again with the 2nd AC unit fails.

Tye was respectful of my under the house older furnace and reported that all was in working order. He cleaned burners and was ready to go in about 40 mins.
Description of Work: Tye was here on time and was very efficient. He answered all my questions and provided me an update on my system. I really appreciated his service and will likely call Comfortcontrol again.

Description of Work: We contracted for a check of our system since we were unhappy with our previous HVAC company. They discovered major issues with our system and then recommended a system that is more energy efficient, the latest and greatest as far as technology and it is so much quieter. They did more damage to my house than any company I've dealth with and showed no responsibility. Each time they visited it was a sales visit about what I needed. I just hate that. I didn't get that from Comfort Control.

+ -1 moreWhen we got there at 12:31, our broker was already there and in the attic with John, who had already examined the outside units. He used to be a service tech, so he was able to see very easily the problems in the systems. He not only gave us an estimate, but also was able to teach us about how the systems worked so we understood what he was telling us. He made us feel very comfortable with the company, and we will definitely be using them to replace the system. He showed us 3 different options for units and how cost effective they all are.
Description of Work: We are closing on a house very quickly and wanted the heat/AC system checked out because it was 15 years old. We called this morning and met with John at the house at 12:30 for an estimate.

I'm sure that if I needed any service that I was paying full price for I'd be serviced within the week. UPDATE: After posting this review, the company called me and came out the next day to perform the service. Once they got there it was determined that there was no need for the tune -up service and they weren't going to charge me or take the coupon.

+ -1 moreAlthough paying $8000 for anything is tough to swallow, I felt very comfortable with paying Comfort Control. There prices were fair and they scheduled the work within days. They promised me that I should see a significant decrease in my AC bill in the summer. We had the hottest June on record in Atlanta and my bill was about $250 less than the previous year. Since my install in March I have paid about $1200 less to Georgia Power in 2012 compared to 2011. I'm extremely pleased.
Description of Work: We had Comfort Control come out for an initial evaluation of our systems. Our bills were extremely high in the summer of 2011 and we knew the systems were not running very efficiently. After the evaluation they reccomended 2 new units. They showed me what the readings were on the current units and what they should really be based on the temperature outside. They also installed an attic tent which I truly reccomend.
